Amy
So glad you got a chance to pop in! Sometimes I think we’ve lost you to T-Nation… Those forums are BIZARRE! There are some heavy duty Steroid Gone Bad posts that just get me all stressed out! :* LOLOLOLOL

Cheryl
What was the SOFT menu last night? Does your DH need to lose weight? A soft foods diet would make me blow up because of my preferences but it COULD be a slimming idea! ha:*

Swifty-X
If you’re back WELCOME HOME and CONGRATS on finishing up recovery week!!!:*

TeddyGirl
Dinner Details PLEEEEEEZE!:*

Jeanette X
YEAH You’re back! :* Lol on your “tent” – first thing I thought was Good Heavens.. If you’re riding a race why not stay in a hotel! LOL …. No Great Outdoorswoman Here! FABULOUS results on your Century ride! That’s so cool how you can measure success every step of the way like no leg cramps, better hydration, no tootsie issues!!! CONGRATS!!! ^5 on hearth! WOW you are one HIGHLY productive woman! LOL on Dh’s “party”…. He walked in the door all lovy dovey and all I said was When do I get to take a solo vacation???? That was said as 3 dogs were destroying everything in site by flinging their 100# bodies all over the floor in daddy’s return excitement… Other than that he’s lucky I let him snuggle as I watch my favorite Sunday TV shows! LOLOLOL:*

Laurie XX
Hmmmmm – When are you coming back? Miss you so much! :*

Debra X
WOW on getting your hardcore w/o in as well! My goodness I feel like I could do ANOTHER recovery week! No down time tho- I am 6 short weeks away from vacationing cycles so I gotta get SERIOUS! I really can’t wait to hear the Iron Yoga reviews! Good for you- venturing out into un-chartered territory! :*

Traci-X :
Oh wait- that’s ME!  Well this little Xer (OK- medium sized Xer) is going to do a little Turbulence Training today…. Freestyle YIKES! I wont be lifting like Amy tho! TT Fat Loss Workout 1 + P90X Biceps from Shoulders/Arm : This particular TT Plan has only one Bicep focused move so that’s why I’m adding some in there. – no cardio day so I’ll throw in some Yoga to brighten my world! Perhaps Eoin Hip Help! :*

DH home safe & sound and back to the grind – albeit half asleep! I’m glad he’s back- all I do is shop when he’s away!!! Have to share a funny…. About 2:15am dogs started barking and DH jumped out of bed …. I awoke startled and must have forgotten DH was home because I screamed bloody murder at the site of my burglar running in his birthday suit :eek: across my bedroom!!!!! Once I stopped crying I started LAUGHING uncontrollably (that’s what I do when stressed- Yet ANOTHER Seinfeld episode!) So YOU GUESSED IT- I got up at 2:30….. Gonna be A LONG DAY! LOLOL

Great day to the Xer gals….
HUGS-Kisses & Support to all who may need it today and to those who don’t? – Well take all of them and stock up! XXOO
:*

Hi all,

I finished up yesterday with an hour walk and then some yoga. I hadn't done yoga in a few days and I felt it. Today is GS CST, the eliptical, and yoga.

Not much going on here. Just cleaning and the grocery store.

Traci - Up at 2:30? Oh my, I'd be ruined by 4.

I'll check back with everyone later.

Tracy

Morning Ladies,

Don't know what workout is in store for me today, I still am attempting Cathe's July Rotation. :) My knee feels good after this weekend, so I am going to attempt a workout. I did a 4 mile run on Thursday, and it felt a little stiff afterwards. But today I am able to bend it without any pain. I have no idea what the problem was.

Just some info for you all. We where told that we would get Jada the German Shepard. Then we get home last night and open our e-mail to find out that the German Shepard Rescue gave her to another family, because we couldn't take her immediately. :( If we had known that, then we would have made scramble arrangements to get the dog taken care of this weekend. I'm sure one of my brothers would have help us. The least this organization could have done was call us to let us know. Not very happy overall today.

Will be back later after I get through the pile of papers on my desk and the 151 e-mails that I need to look at yet. :D

Oh, and we had a great time on our vacation. Just nice and relaxing, and a fun time just being with my DH and girls.

Have a great day!

Laurie

{{{{{{{{{{{{{jada}}}}}}}}}}}}} I am so sorry! How totally awful that news must have been... I cant imagine what brokken hearts you and family have. I am so very sorry. There must be another baby that needs you even more.

Take Care of that knee- our bodies are strange sometimes. Very much missed you while you were gone but I am very happy you had a great time!

LOL on the emails.... DH was gone from work just 3 business days and his mailbox was at 223! I think the internet makes it way to convenient to just send 1 email per thought!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TRACY X
I am utterly amazed at all the workouts you got thru yesterday.... Were you avoiding laundry? ;-)
Hi,
LaurieXX - Sorry about the dog. People can be so rotten sometimes. They should have told you.
Traci - I've got avoiding down to a science. I really didn't feel like walking, but the dogs were dying to go out. Then once I got started I just kept going, then I had to do the yoga because I hadn't for a while. It's great to tack on after a leg workout. You should try Shiva's standing flow 1, lunge, backbend flow 1, followed by the forward bends and twists, that is more are a stretch than the sequences in the solar flow. I usually do a couple of the initial vinyasas to get the blood flowing.
Back to work, avoiding again.
Tracy
Good morning Xers! Hope all is well with your worlds today. I am feeling a little stressed as DH and I have a scheduled "talk" this afternoon. We actually have to schedule these things because of the time change. UGGHHH! I absolutely hate confrontation...but I know we need to air some things. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't turn into an emotional basket case. I also think ttom is coming up since I am eating everything that is not nailed down. Yipee. Oh, well...who said the other day "it is what it is"? One of you lovely ladies...maybe Tracy or Traci?? Anyway...I will try to live that philosophy today.
I am planning on a meeting with Bryan Kest today since I haven't seen him in a while. I have been monogamous with Eion lately, but since Traci is "with" him today...I will have to find another! Tomorrow will be my rest day and then here is the rest of my rotation:
day1 KPC cardio conditioning premix + stability ball abs
day2 PUB
day3 PLB + core
day4 yoga
day5 BM2 cardio blast premix
day6 Cardio & Weights compound weights premix
day7 off
So I will start this week on Wednesday.
Onto some personals...
Sandra...So glad to hear you survived!! You must have slept like a log last night...Or maybe you had dreams of escaping children! Hope you have a fun workout on tap for today. And an anniversary today?? Anything fun planned?
Jeanette...Yes, I am doing the premix rotation...kind of. I switched things up a bit since I want 2 days of upper body...and I also want to fit yoga in once a week and I only want 2-3 days of cardio. But I used Cathe's rotation as a guide. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! I am not a camper myself...but I am glad you enjoyed yourself! I will be glad when the weather breaks here a bit so that I can get back on my bike. Did you give DH a hug for finishing the tiling? I am so impressed by your do-it-yourself projects!
Wendy...Just sending out {{{{{hugs}}}}} to you and your family today. I know this is going to be emotional for everyone. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones today. We'll be thinking of you.
Traci...LOL about your "burglar" last night!! Sorry you were up though! I was thinking of you at 6 am this morning when we were having a huge thunderstorm...and I was lying awake. At least my pooch doesn't freak out! I did finish unpacking my downstairs boxes yesterday...now I have about 10 loads to do in the dishwasher..and about 10 loads of laundry! Are you sure you don't want to come up for a few days and take care of my chores??? I promise to take you shopping after! I haven't had a chance to read through the TT stuff you sent me (wonder why)...I want to be able to give it my full attention...so I probably won't get to it until DD goes back to school, but I am interested in the philosophy. Where are you guys going on your vacations later this summer?
Laurie...So sorry to hear about Jada...I can't believe they didn't tell you they need you guys to go ahead and take her! I know you all must be so disappointed! I am sure there is another baby just waiting for your loving home. How are your girls taking it?
Tracy...You continually amaze me with your workout abilities! I bet your pooches had a great time out with you yesterday. Have fun with your chores today (Not!).
Okay...I really need to get busy this morning and at least start my laundry and dishwashing. Yeah.
later gators!!
THANKS for the Shiva Mish Mosh..... That will either absolutely be tomorrow or if I get mad at Eoin maybe she'll get done today! hahaah
Procrastination.... I have a load of DH's STINKY fishing laundrt sitting on soak for last 3 hours because I'm not in the laudry mood!
DebraX
*sigh* - *very very heavy sign* My prayers are with you as you prepare for "talk" and as you eat! Its OK!!! EAT !!!
God- I know your stomach has knots.... just know that no matter what you cannot control anything but your self & your own life. Do/say what your heart tells you then let it go- it will all get resolved one way or another.... All I know is you can tell DH TRACI SAID: Life's too short to live in constant craziness... Figure it out BUCKO cuz my buddy Debra DESERVES peace- happiness & joy! ;-) (put that in your pipe & smoke it!)
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{love ya}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
Hi, everyone! Oh, the cosmic forces are in full play right now!!
Laurie, I am so sorry about the outcome on Jada .... yes, there must be another baby who needs your family even more!!
Debra, I am also praying for a good outcome for your talk. I am especially mindful since DH and I are finding ourselves in that same boat right now.
After 4 years of marriage, the situation with his kids is not improving... it's getting gradually worse. He and I are planning to have our next discussion with our church bishop (equivalent of a pastor) to get some insight. I am feeling like the time is coming that he either needs to commit fully to me as a marriage partner, or let me know if it's something he's not able to do.
His oldest son roused out of bed at 2 p.m. yesterday afternoon and demanded to be taken to a restaurant. So I ended up going to church alone and having Sunday dinner alone with my kids... and I'm also less and less happy about him letting his oldest daughter hang out several evenings a week at our home without requiring that she at least say hello or acknowledge that I live here. Not good.
This morning I did the second half of Muscle Max plus abs again for 50 minutes plus 30 minutes of cardio from Step Works. Just enough.
I need to up the ante all the way around. I'm not getting enough DOMS. And I need to finally, finally commit to eating consistently clean. I believe I'm ready to do it. Here goes! My weight has been riding at 128-130 - my newest set-point with strong workouts but bad eating - and that's not good. 120 or so is where I need to be.
Here's to a good Monday for all!
Cheryl
Good morning,
I'm going to *try* to keep this brief because I have a lot to do today.
This morning I did KPC, circuiting the drills and the combos. I really like it better that way. Seems to fly by.
JeanetteX - congrats on the century ride!! I bet you were the only person disappointed in pancakes and eggs for breakfast (it's not oatmeal and bananas!). I also chuckled that you camped overnight, got up early, rode 100 miles over six hours, then went home and looked after grandchildren. There aren't many grandmothers I know with that kind of stamina! DH's century ride went super well. I'm not sure of his time, but he says he average 29.9 km/hour, which if I translate correctly is 18.7 miles/hour. Not bad, considering he's hardly been out this year. He's a hurtin' unit today, though!!! What happened to Vino yesterday? We didn't get to watch in the morning, and when we turned it on in the evening he was no where in sight. Did he just bonk?
TraciX - You're a crack up today. The story about the naked burglar and the 3 100lb dogs flinging themselves in ecstasy were a hoot. I imagine the naked burglar incident was just DH playing out a fantasy of yours ;) I'm flattered you remembered my wedding anniversary. Nope, I've planned nothing for today...haven't even bought a card. I suppose I can try to do that before he gets home tonight. Ever since DD#1 was born 2 days before our anniversary, her b-day has come to take precedence over the anniversary. I always spend so much time planning the party and the buy her gifts, etc. that I never think of the anniversary. So I don't think I should write a how-to book, because no ones' going to believe me when I tell them to ignore the anniversary. Regarding my next rotation, you suggested I just make up a similar one with my own preferences. The problem with that is that I don't tend to push myself out of my comfort zone. That's why I like following rotations. Cathe makes me do stuff I think is ridiculous, until I try it. I'm thinking of doing the April '07 rotation, but have a few problems with how I would be able to do the bonus cardios she's tacked on, and with the 45 min bike rides once/week. I like that the rotation is a combination of high intensity cardio and heavy weights. I feel like it would make a good transition between what I'm doing now (high cardio), and being able to jump into the new 4-Day Split workouts. What to do, what to do.....
TracyX - I bet the yoga feels terrrrrific after a few days away from it.
LaurieX - I'm soooooooo sorry to hear about the dog! That would be extremely upsetting, to say the least.
DebraX - Oh my, my stomach curled just reading about your scheduled "talk" with DH. I hope you get some things resolved. Yes, I slept like a log last night! I was still in deep slumber when the alarm went off this morning. It took a while to get going, and I was extremely thankful it wasn't a hard cardio kind of day. How come my house looks like a bomb hit it, when we had the party at a city park?!
WendyX - I hope this day goes well. I'm thinking of you and your family.
NicoleX - How was your first day back to Cathe?
Cheryl, Amy, Teddygirl - I hope you're all having a good day.
Apparently around 5am on Saturday morning Edmonton's largest fire in history occured in the sub division next to ours...and I didn't hear or see a thing. Crazy! 82 homes gone or damaged in the space of a couple hours. So sad for the families.
The party went very well yesterday. It was a beautiful day, no one got hurt, everyone went home happy. This week I will be continuing to work on the research project I started last week. DH is back at work this week, so I'm only working "part-time", meaning: when the toddler naps, and in the evenings.
Someone the other day asked whether I'm still eating vegan: yes, except for any dairy that is found in baked goods. I just can't be happy without my occasional piece of cake and cookies. For DD's b-day I made a fondant dolphin cake, which I'll post a picture of soon. It turned out pretty well.
This wasn't quite so brief, but oh well. It is what it is :). Time to go get my week organized. Cheers!
SandraX
Good morning,
I can’t believe how tired I am. I ended up having to do all the cooking on Saturday and worked out. There’s much to do when giving a dinner party lots. I wont be doing that anytime soon, except for my birthday. Speaking of BD……………
Someone BD is today, is it you DebraX or NicoleX
HAPPY BIRTHDAY…………
Cheryl:
Oh Dear…. Big Big {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}} to you as well today. I am so sorry its “talk” time for you as well- Its probably VERY smart to have the bishop involved… I do believe the sanctity of marriage will be revisited. I know its got to be so hard… Try not to lose sight of the love- I know you guys can work this out. I remember when my dad remarried and we 3 girls were SNOTS to our stepmom…. They called my mom into it and Mom-Dad-StepMom sat all of us down and let us know that we would NOT cause dissent. It was a wake up call and our shenanigans stopped immediately… It was especially potent because my mom was there and we knew we couldn’t go to her and bitch later.. United Front put us in our places for sure.
Workouts: Does sound like its time for a change again…. Maybe just switching to 1 part per day (30 minutes of Cathe mish mosh on those parts) would zap your system.
I have FINALLY broken my stall at 128 and am down 2 # so far this month… I hate to say it but what it took for me was Nutrient Staggering…. I don’t track food anymore but I am doing 3 days very low starchy carbs High Protein High Fats and 1 day of High Starches, very low fats and moderate proteins… Seems to have helped jumpstart me again.
```````````````````````````````

Well let me just say that I LOVED LOVED LOVED my strength training today…. AWESOME

In this order…

P90X Biceps (from Shoulders & Arms)
3 sets of 8 with 30 second rest between sets and 60 second rest between exercises
Able to do everything using 12 & 15#s (usually I have to drop to 10 by end of bicep work)

Changed the P90X DVD to Music & Ques only and let it play to motivate me thru the TT Fat Loss Training….

3 Supersets (6 exercises) 3 sets of 8 for most (1=3x12, 1=3x10)
1 minute rest between exercises in SS and 2 minute rest between supersets
Broke all my personal lifting records!

DB Chest Press: 20#s 3x8
BB Rows 45#s: 3x8
Reverse Grip Pulldown Added Body Bar to handles to increase load: 3x8
DB Rear Delt Flys 9#s: 3x12
Close Grip DB Press 15#s 3x8
DB Incline Curls 12#s 3x8
Face Pulls 3x10 (using cables)

Completed all in 55 minutes and am toasted!

TeddyGirl & sandra- You snuck in on me and I need to copy & paste and GO .... I PROMISE TO BE BACK FOR PERSONALS with you guys!!!! :*

I'm back...no workout done yet...but I got some more boxes unpacked...and I started my laundry and my dishwasher...surely that counts for something! I figure after the "talk" I will be glad to see Bryan (I think he's hot) and I am sure I will need some centering, too!

Traci...Sweet woman...your workout rocked this morning...good for you! And congrats on your weight loss too. I am impressed with your willingness to switch things around and keep trying until you find what works for you. I think most people just shrug and go on. As far as my eating is concerned...it wouldn't be bad except for WHAT I am eating...Oh, well!

Nicole...Forgot to say before..Happy Birthday (can you hear me singing?)!!!!! And have fun with Cathe today! What a great way to spend your birthday....with an old friend!

Cheryl...Sorry you and DH are heading into some challenging times as well. It is so hard to blend families. Hope you guys are able to work some things out in a positive way. I wish DH and I had a mediator of sorts...but that just won't happen for us until he is back from Russia for good. And I do have a suggestion for creating more DOMS...use the mix and match section on Cathe's dvds. Then go from one body part to another...like...back, chest, etc. and just do one set for each body part. I am probably not making sense...Okay..let's say the first exercise on the dvd is chest presses...usually Cathe does multiple sets of that exercise...then moves on to something else chest related. Instead of doing that do the first set of chest presses, then move on to say, lat rows, then back to chest press and then back to lat rows...you will be able to sustain a higher poundage of weights by doing that and you will fatigue the muscle more. I am sure I did not explain it properly...Maybe someone else can jump in and let you know what I meant! Anyhoo...hugs to you during your trials!

Teddygirl...Do your sisters not know how to cook?? See, if I was coming to your party I would have brought my homemade mac and cheese at least!

Sandra...Glad the party was a success. I am not sure how you house got torn up, but it seems to happen that way, hunh? Good luck working on your research project during non-peak kid times! I like you KPC idea of mixing it up like that. I will have to try that soon. Still no rotation? How much time do you have before you need to make a decision? So sorry to hear about the fire near you...I am glad that you guys were not affected. What a tragedy! It was me who asked about your vegan ways. Happy to know that is working out well for you.

Okay...going to unload the dishwasher and move the laundry around...and will see you guys later!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I forgot to actually type that in my first post. I was thinking it, but then got distracted onto another topic. If you got to read all the stuff I leave out of my posts, you'd still be reading. WendyX can relate, I'm sure ;)

Teddygirl - Ach! Allll the cooking? I hope they either intend to reciprocate, or left a cheque on the table?

TraciX - You must be strutting like a peacock this afternoon! Excellent work on the weight load today! You certainly pushed play! I don't know how you do staggered eating. I'd be great on the days that let you eat lots of the yummy stuff, but would suck on the deprivation days. I'm glad something's working for you, though!

DebraX - When I do KPC that way, I simply use the Mix 'n Match feature. I wish I'd tried that sooner! I'm still struggling on the rotation for next month, yes. I need something starting Mon, July 30. But since I'll be doing MIC on Sunday, I don't want to start Monday off with a high intensity cardio. I enjoy making up my own rotations, though, so if I get a chance in the next few days I'm going to see what I can come up with.

Cheers,
SandraX

DebraX: All my sisters are excellent cooks. And two of my brothers are cake bakers, learned from the best my mom. My sister Carolyn made the homemade yams and the pinto beans. I did everything else.

TraciXX: Your workout this morning, was da-bomb, nice work:p

The party was very nice, lots of people in my 2 bedroom appt at diffent times, that’s what made it perfect, and of course my sons invited a few friends, I did call all my brothers and sister some made it others couldn’t. It was nice. After everyone left, I clean for 15 minutes or so my body felted like it gave out, laid down for a sec and it was over. I got cleaning vacuuming, dusking blah…blah…

I had to throw out the food, wasn’t much, I made friends and family take plate(s) home. The only thing threw out was greens & beans.

Tonight, my son is coming over to pick up the cake, don’t want it in my home. I never ate dinner, everyone raved about the food.

I still have 1/2 bag of greens left that I wasn’t able cook, good thing. I plan to cook tomorrow. When I get home bubbles & bed.

Good Morning Workout Pals,

Drill Max- Cardio and All Upper Body Premix(60 min)

YEAH!!!! I did Cathe this morning. What a birthday present:) I tell you, this workout kicked my butt! I got a second wind about half way through but for the first 1/2 hour I thought I was going to pass out. I am anxious to finish out the week with clean eating and see if that makes a difference. I ordered the new DVD's Friday and can't wait to get them even though they kind of scare me:p Thai food and Cold Stone are on tap fpr today. I figure at this rate I will nullify my whole workout:D
The birthday party yesterday was really nice. You can't beat brunch on the beach! It was so nice to see all of the family and spend time reminiscing about old times. There was a neat slide show that had pictures of my grandpa and mom and uncle from long ago. Quite entertaining:)

Thank you all for the HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes:):) Glad I could spend part of it with you:)

Traci-X, Yes, the beach is lovely here. I like the beach at La Jolla but I could do without the snooty people in town:) Many of my aunts grandchildren live that way and oh my, the bleach blond and huge boobs sent me running in the other direction:)LOL! ROFL about your adventure with DH:) Glad he's back! Great job on the workout today! You must have been energized for weights again after your break and I am sooo glad to hear it:)

JeanetteX, Sounds like your century ride was great! Glad to hear you didn't have any leg cramps, that must have felt good:) Playing with your grandkids is definitely a step above keeping tabs on us. They are lucky to have an active grandma who can keep up with them. My boys keep my mom and dad going like crazy:) We went to see Transformers. It was definitely for the 10-26 age group. Shiny cars and gratuitous skin showing are for a certain gender and it's not mine:) I think my boys would like it a lot. They did a really good job at making it all look real. And that's it for this weeks review:)LOL!!

TracyX, Sounds like a fun day of cleaning and reassimilating to being home!

LaurieXX, Oh, what sad news about Jada:( I can't believe they didn't call you first! My sister had a similar experience at her shelter, such a bummer. I am glad to hear your knee is feeling better. That is one of the reasons I have avoided running,. I have a knee that acts up every time I try, even on a TM. Glad the July rotation is working for you. I think I'll do that one next round. I am doing the Jan 07' premix rotation. I hope I don't kill myself trying to do it:p

DebraX, I hope your talk with DH goes well this evening. TTOM is never a good time for those. I hope all is well, the stress of him not being around can't be good. Will he ever be in the U.S. for longer spurts than a week here and there? DD must miss him a lot too. Did he have this job when you married him or is this more recent? In other news, your workout schedule looks good. I'm glad you have it all planned out, it does make it easier:) Have fun unpacking those darned 8 boxes:D

Cheryl, It is quite a day with all of us isn't it? I am glad your husband will at least see the bishop with you. My DH has always refused to talk to other people about our marriage. It is good to hear wise counsel from a counselor with like-minded beliefs, maybe one day he will. Step children are an extra stress. There are situations where it isn't a problem but most of the time they are not too keen on a new mom or dad telling them what to do. I'll keep you in my prayers.

SandraX, Loved doing Cathe today!!! You did a nice long post today:) Glad you survived teh party yesterday:D Can't wait to see a picture of the cake!

WendyX, I hope you are doing o.k. today. I know the service is today so I will keep you all in my prayers. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Off to Thai food then Cold Stone, ughh! I'll be hating this decision tomorrow, but it feels good today:)

Hi all,

Today was GS CST and 20 minutes on the elliptical where I burned 100 calories. I went as heavy as I could and actually increased my weights from last week on almost all of the exercises. If you are really doing strength training, I think you can increase weights with Cathe, just like the X. You just have to train that way. I’m going to do 1 or 2 more weeks of GS then something else. Now after personals, on to some Fluid Power Yoga or Magically Hips, I haven’t decided yet.

Debra – I’m so sorry about the discussion and ttom on top of that. That would not be a good combination for me. I went through discussions/conflicts with DH for so long. He is 9 years older than I am and went through mid-life crisis when the kids were small. I’m obviously still married, but I’m not sure things were ever the same after all of the shi* went down. No decision related to marriage is ever easy.

Cheryl – Oh….. you too. Whatever the issues in marriages, conflict is never pretty. I hope that you get everything resolved; sounds like his relationship with his children is less than perfect. I think that constantly pushing yourself is the hardest thing about working out at home. That is why I believe that a specific goal is always necessary; even if the goal is maintenance. Then at least you can have a focus. Mine for the next 3-4 weeks is to increase my strength. That thought in the back of my mind keeps me cognizant of increasing my weights.

Sandra – I agree with you on the rotation about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. When are you planning on starting the 04/-07 rotation? Maybe I’ll join you.

Annointed – Do you have any recipes you would like to share?

Wendy - {{{{{{{{{{******}}}}}}}}}

Traci- Great workout!!!!!!! I’m with Sandra, I don’t know how you can stagger nutrients. I just can’t think that hard about my food. I get too obsessed and then it backfires; it’s the old bad eating habits that I can’t overcome. I’m still doing the GS, but strength seems to be increasing. It’s a little hard because I’m doing the split on back to back days. Triceps were tired by the time I got to them at the end.

Happy Birthday Nicole – Enjoy your Thai food and ice cream, and forget it tomorrow, it is a new day. Some stupid flavor of low fat ice cream called my name last night. Oh well! Drill max is deceptively difficult, especially after Tony.

Hey, gang!!!

WOW, Traci, I'm impressed with the workout! That looks like a killer! My arms at pretty toasted from my workout yesterday! It was an upper body, but for some reason, my arms took the brunt of it.

Cheryl- HUGS!! I don't have any kids, but I am sending you lots of hugs and prayers that your situation can come to a resolution! I can imagine that blending a family can cause quite a bit of strain. MWAH!

Debra- I hope that the "talk" turned out okay. I am sending you lots of hugs and prayers as well. I can definitely see where it's been super stressful with DH gone all the time!

Traci- Yes, T-nation has some bizarre forums, but I mainly stick to Muscle Sorority (super nice women there!!!) and the Nutrition/Supplement forums. Between that and the articles, I don't stick around there too much. This last week and this coming week have just been super, super busy. As it is, I'm only going to get one day (Wednesday) where I get to stay at home all week! UGH, and you know what a home-body I am!!!

Jeanette- Your ride sounds awesome! Congratulations! I wish that I had a place to ride around here where the cars wouldn't aim for you! (you think I'm kidding?)

Nicole- Happy Birthday girl!!! I hope that you enjoy your day and not feel guilty at all about what you eat!!! I will be celebrating my birthday at the Road Trip (although the real day will be a week after we get back)!!!

TG- WOW, You sure cooked up a storm!!! I had to LOL....several years ago when I was still Active Duty, I worked with some beautiful, Southern black women. One day, one of the lady's daughters came in to see her at work and she marched them over to introduce them to me. This was her introduction, " And this is Amy, she's a nurse here. Oh, and she can CCCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKK!" I was very flattered coming from her!!!

Okay, I'm off for a walk and with different shoes so that my heels stay intact!!! Later gaters!!!

5pm in Houston and boy am I tired!

Did much needed front yard work late morning and then a sinus headache hit BIG TIME- took some meds and I have been in a stupor ever since… I think I fell asleep 4x when I’d sit down to read.

TeddyGirl:
No wonder your family loves you so much! You are always doing kind things for them and with joy in your heart… I hope they realize how lucky they are! Enjoy your well deserved bubbles! When do you start X upper rotation?

SandraX:
You always give me great ideas to make w/o’s that I am tired of feel user friendly again! I really have grown to appreciate Mix n Match option even more so than premixes I think. LOL on the anniversary non celebration… The way I look at those dates & valentines & Christmas is that we should be making EVERY DAY feel special not just a designated day…. To me the level of celebration/gifts shouldn’t be so far above every day that it gets to be the only special time. What do I know tho? I’m still working on making it to year 6! Oh my April 07 is a toughie! I’ll stand on the sidelines and cheer you and TracyX on! HORRID about the fire! I am so glad you weren’t directly affected but it sure makes you think twice! DOLPHINS are just too wonderful! I cant wait to see the pics! LOL on strutting today… I must admit my biceps look pretty awesome today since I lifted AND am leaning out … I have caught glimpses of an aging vain woman flexing in the windows more than once today!

DebraX
Wondering if that w/o got done yet or if you are lost in housekeeping details! Those things take so much time and effort. Since I have to eat vicariously thru you please list what “we” ate today!!! I am turning into a TUNA girl- is that close to a mermaid?

BIRTHDAY GIRL:
I am in unison w/ group- ENJOY!!! EAT!!!! SPLURGE!!!!! RUN AROUND NAKED SHOUTING I’M AN Xer!!!!

TracyX
Glad you have found a way to use all your Cathe strength in a way that is working for you. I think it would be AWESOME if Cathe did rotations for Increased Strength, Endurance whatever and directed on how to use her old stuff to accommodate those goals. Shoot- We could be using her old stuff for DECADES this way! Until that time I’m counting on YOU to keep posting so I can suck your brain dry of all its wealth of info! Did you mention a while back when you’re doing your next X round? I may plan on joining you… I really want top do it right tho and have 6 weeks of endurance before I jump into it (plus a recovery week!)

Amy
Goodness girl I can’t keep up with you this month…. Are you & Cheryl & Wendy taking a lap top so you can leave us posts during RT that will make us all feel apart of your adventure? Take care of the healing heel! Keep posting your awesome workouts as I am VERY inspired....

Off to find caffeine so I can function in the kitchen.....

Later Lovely Xers!

I did all of Eion, and my abs are actually sore. That's a good thing.

<<<"I have caught glimpses of an aging vain woman flexing in the windows more than once today!">>>>>

OK Traci, you're not the only one, LOL, it's kind of a secret though. I just love having some muscle mass. DS has asked me to flex on more than one occasion recently:)

I haven't decided on an exact start date for the X yet. Probably not before Nov. I realize that puts in smack into the holidays, but it was a good way for me to stay focused. Plus, by then the outdoor workouts will slowly be coming to an end. I'm flexible on the start date though and would love to have some company. I do want to schedule the recovery weeks for weeks when I'm working all week instead of when I'm off, that's my only caveat.

I'm just amazed that you are still awake after getting up so early.

Off to eat Chinese food.
