X ers -~ Its Monday and We're OK w/ That!~

Hi all...back after having finally completed my workout. I did Bryan Kest "Tone" and it had been a while since I did it. Felt really good and got some great stretching in too. Obviously there is not as much hip opening as Eion, but probably more back work.

Talk with DH went so-so. We have another appointment to "talk" tomorrow, so I have that to look forward to. I do have a massage with my brutish friend Anna...so that IS something to look forward to! My back still needs a little work, but I will say that after last week's session with her, my headaches were pretty much gone. God bless her heart! So I am figuring that after tomorrow's session I should be pretty right.

Let me catch up with personals.....

Tracy...Glad you enjoyed Eion today...his ab section kind of sneaks up on you, doesn't it? What kind of rotation are you planning after you finish up GS? You're right about marriage issues. It is never easy, no matter what decisions end up being made. Hope you enjoy your Chinese food this evening. Can't remember the last time I had that! I am going to start my search for a good sushi place this week.

Traci....No wonder you were dozing off while reading...maybe that's because you had a naked man running around your bedroom at 2am! I'm sure your DH would be really happy to know that all of your Xer friends about his sleeping habits! I'm not sure about tuna and mermaids...but DD is watching "Aquamarine" right now! Did you see the tuna recipe on OD? I actually printed it out it looked so good! Let's see, today I had a diet coke for breakfast, left over pizza for lunch, and DD's left over mac and cheese and fresh corn on the cob for dinner. I am sure everyone reading this is cringing right now! Seriously though, please come do my yard work?!?

Teddygirl...I wish I had some of those pinto beans your sister brought! I LOVE pintos! More than any woman should!

Nicole...Glad you are having a good bday...so funny you picked to do DM today...Way to go girl! Just jump right in there! I'm with Cheryl...surely the health benefits of the Thai cancels out the cream at Cold Stone. My DH has only been working in Russia since August of last year. And to say the least, it has been a strain on all of us. I did finish unpacking those boxes..plus even more..I worked up in the office/workout room today. Now, I just have the guest bedroom and a couple of boxes in DD's room left. My BFF is coming up the first weekend in August, and I have a goal set to be completely done by then.

Amy...Dear woman...glad to see you! Hope you have fun on your walk...with the proper shoes, of course. How did you do with your CPR class? I am sure everything went well. Now, are you off for a couple of days? I seem to remember you worked this weekend. Hope you and DH are doing well.

Cheryl...Hope all is well with you...how is DS doing today?

Wendy...Sending more {{{{hugs}}}}

Waving to Jeanette, Sandra, Laurie and Swifty(are you done yet?)!!

Good Evening Ladies!

Got home a couple of hours ago. I tried napping with Phil. But, you know how that goes!}( :7

It's been a looooong day! We got up at 4:30 and left the house at 7:00 to beat the Philly traffic. However, much to our surprise, all the traffic rush was minimal on our side of the road. Most of the people who would normally drive at that hour on our side of the road spent the weekend at the shore and were traveling to the city from there. Anyhow, we got to the funeral home an hour early!!!

I thought GREAT! I could tune the harp without background noise since the tuner can be hyper sensitive. Tayler could practice a few times without distractions since she kept butchering the hymn ALL weekend. And, we wouldn't be in anyone's way while they were paying their last respects. NOPE! No one was there to let us inside. So, we drove to McDonalds for breakfast and Walgreens for tights. (It was rainy and COLD today!) Then, when we got back to the funeral home, most of the immediate family were already there. And, the funeral director wanted us to wait until they opened up the room for the family viewing. Needless to say, I was STRESSED!!!! Keep in mind, I'm normally asleep or just waking up at this hour!:7

So, while the immediate family was grieving, I was tuning 38 freaking out of tune strings! (TWICE THROUGH) Then when MC (middle child) came in, I started visibly shaking while tuning the harp and standing in 4" heels with my still tender left foot. (MC=LONG STORY) Midway, Phil had the nerve to ask me if I would be much longer!!! He, of course, didn't realize my mental state! I just whispered in the nicest voice I could muster that these things take time, and I was going as fast as I could. Thankfully, I finished tuning, and Tayler practiced the hymn very, very quietly and very, very gently before the public viewing began.

I know why God gave dd to me. She excels under pressure. And, since I'm clearly an Asian mother, I KNOW how to apply it when needed!:7 :7 She played beautifully! She had no fear! She stayed focused! The little mistakes she made were barely noticeable and only to the musically submerged. Shockingly, she didn't miss a beat. Once she got through half of the music, I remembered to breath! lol

I was so glad I let her play. I had thoughts of "accidentally" snapping a string while tuning. MIL was so comforted by the music her granddaughter played. That more than made up for all the worry and stress!!!

I'm normally a reserved person. Yes, tis true!!:p I don't like to cry in front of people I'm not close to. I'm usually good with blocking it. But, I along with everyone there were moved to tears when the 21 gun salute went off, and Taps was played, and the guard presented the flag to MIL at the cemetery. The civility and honor of the ceremony was beautiful! FIL would have loved it!!! I'm sure he did!!!

Y'all might be interested to know this fitness related detail. FIL was buried in the town next to Glassboro which is where Cathe's gym is located. And, the luncheon was held at the country club in Deptford which is where the hotels for the RT are located. And!!! walking around in 4" rounded toe heels with a bum foot does indeed constitute a strength workout!:p }( :7 ;-)

Now to open another window for personals!!! :) :) :)

Thanks for all your thoughts today! You ladies ROCK!!!:)

Ballistic Hugs!
Wendy

Sweet Wendy...Glad things went well today...and you and the rest of the family came out of it okay. I hope that you have taken off those blasted heels! I bet your foot will be sore again tomorrow after the workout you gave it today. So nice to hear about your FILs meaningful ceremony. I hope that everyone can take some happiness from that and start the healing process. By the way....How did your DD's take his passing...I know you guys are regular church attenders, but is this the first close relative to pass? Just curious, so if I am being too nosy, just tell me to back off! My dad and my DH's dad passed away within 3 weeks of each other...during the Christmas holidays...not a lot of fun for anyone involved. My DH is Jewish, and at his dad's ceremony, my FIL was actually lowered into the ground with dirt thrown on his grave...not being Jewish myself..I had NO IDEA this would be happening or I never would have taken DD! A bit of a trauma for us! Especially since my dad was cremated and we had a memorial service....Complete opposite 3 weeks later...Yowza!

Anyway...enough of the death talk...I am sure you got goosebumps just knowing you were that close to Cathe! You must be counting the hours down to your road trip. Take it easy on your foot...and wrap some of the hugs we have sent around your kids and DH!

:) :) :) PERSONALS :) :) :)

Traci-X: Once things start to settle down, meaning when the laundry's done, I'll have to read all about TT. Your workout today is giving me incentive to start the laundry tonight! ROTF on your wake-up call!!! OH! Just read your post to LaurieXX. ROTFLOL!!! How did I ever make it through the X! I opt to do laundry to avoid working out!!! Oh! I don't own a laptop to take with me on the RT. But, I DO have a surprise in store for you while there!!!! No, I'm not telling! You can torture me all you want! Force me to do Drill Max! Mail me a copy of Denise Austin's w/os in a plain manilla envelope! I don't care!!! You won't get a word outta me unless there's an Xer tank wrapped around the Denise Austin workout! LOLOLOLOL

Sandra-X: 14 YEARS!!! Please, do write a how-to book!!! :7 OMW! That is sooo sad!!! And, so close to home!!! My sister lost everything she owned about 18 years ago in a fire. Thankfully, her 6 children were fine. (They were at home with a babysitter at the time.) In a way, it was good for her. Kind of like a cleansing. It really puts everything into perspective. Best wishes with your research project. If you're still reading this, STOP & GET BACK TO WORK!!!:p :7 ;-) Can't you hear Tony telling ya, "No X-Q-Zezs!!!";-)

{{{Laurie-XX}}} I'm sooo sorry to hear about losing Jada to another family. What were they thinking?!?!?! Is it too soon, emotionally, to start looking for another dog to adopt? I'm glad you were able to get some R&R with your family. LOL on the emails. I know what you mean. I didn't know how popular I was until I went away!!!

{{{Debra-X}}} What is with you ladies and your scheduled talks? That's such a novel idea!!! Man! I BET Phil would love to be married to you guys!!! Poor guy doesn't get any warning. I launch into my issues before the experience is fully experienced!:7 :7 :7 Hopefully, Sandra will have her book ready soon! But, I do know what you mean. I hate confrontation at times. Well, that's not true. I can be quite aggressive. Phil is one who would relate with you. He tries to avoid it at all costs. Too bad he's married to me!}( I do hope you were able to clear the air without gaining any weight and with positive outcomes!!!! Hey! That was me who was quoting FIL's saying. "It is what it is." I started saying it the weekend I was there during my baking frenzy. I remembered that I forgot to add butter to my pies right before I added the streusal topping. So, I melted the butter, mixed it with the cream cheese and sliced apple filling inside the pie crusts (blasphemous), and uttered FIL's typical saying!;-) Normally, I would have been besides myself until I tasted the first bite. Ooooo.... Nice rotation you modified for yourself! Let us know how it goes!!

{{{Cheryl}}} My heart goes out to you! It's tough enough in this still early season of marriage without kids!!! I can't even imagine how this is affecting you!!! I truly hope and pray that your dh will work towards putting your marriage first and foremost while setting rules, boundaries and limitations with his kids. (Can you tell I've been watching the Dog Whisperer? LOL) Hopefully, he doesn't see this situation as having to chose between his marriage or the kids. Hopefully, the bishop will be able to give y'all sound advice, and that your dh will have the wisdom to discern what should be done and DO IT! But, I do have to agree with Traci. My 3 boys played my X and I for YEARS! It was only until my X and I were able to communicate (through Phil) that we were able to put a stop to it! Looking back, I think the boys did it out of loyalty. It was their way of telling me that they loved and sided with me. Thankfully, they never dragged Phil into it. How tall are you? I was at 127 (fully dressed) in Jan of this year before I started exercising. Shedding those pounds have made life much easier to move through life. But, aren't you a lot taller than me? And, don't you have more muscle than me too? Cuz, that weight I was carrying wasn't muscle mass!!!!!!!!;-)

Teddygirl: Cooking can be tiring! But, it feels so good to see people enjoy the fruits of your labor!!!

NICOLE!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Did you save me any cake? :7 EWWWWW! Never mind. COLD STONE??????? That stuff doesn't melt!!!! Seriously!!! Does it? I don't think so. Darn it! I wished I would have gotten to you before you left for the festivities. You could have do a little science experiment with that stuff, er... ice cream!! Well, at least, it should digest!:p :p :7 ;) And, Birthday Girl, it doesn't matter! You're having Thai food!!! I want to hear all about it!!!! Now. Pray tell, how do you feel cardiovascularly since completing the X? Any diminishes? Any gains? (tap, tap, tap.)Awww, sounds like a lovely day you had yesterday! Since you're eating so well, I'm sure you've got some leftovers to send my way.;-) OH! Before I forget... What did ya get for your birthday? Inquiring minds want to know!

Tracy-X: Hmmmm, see here's the problem. I can't lift as heavy as Cathe does in her endurance weight workouts!!!!:+ Good for you for the increased strength AND weight loss! You must be increasing your lean muscle mass!!! I think I'll wait to buy GS at the RT. Saves on the shipping costs. You never cease to amaze me! Scheduling another round of the X right before the holidays! That's some serious dedication!!!! ^^5^^ to you!

Amy: You're such a sweetie! You posted all personals and only had one sentence about you! Enjoy your walk with different shoes!!!! They don't have 4" heels I suppose?:7;-)

Debra-X AGAIN! Sorry that everything wasn't fully resovled tonight. I'll be praying that tomorrow is better!!! I also comment about your mule story. At first, I thought you were talking about SHOES (cute mules)!!!!:7 Glad to see that I haven't lost too much of my superficial self these days!!!!;-)

Well, ladies! I better post this before I lose it!

Jeanette-X: I've gotta go back and read yesterday's post, you Night Owl!!! I'll try to post to you tonight before I hit the sack. My pinkie finger feels a bit carpal tunnelish right now. Wonder why?;-)

Off I go to read Jeanette's post.

Sweet Dreams Ladies!!!
Wendy

Wendy, I'm 5'5" but very small boned. 112 used to be my dream weight, but thanks to Cathe I think 120 would be really good - so that means I'm carrying at least 7-8 lbs too much at the minute, and it's definitely fluff.

Isn't it funny how the muscle pounds are sleek and compact and the fat pounds billow like marshmallows? Actually not funny at all x( x( x( But I guess it's some of what keeps us humble.

Debra, I'm glad your talk was at least so-so and that you have a nice massage scheduled and another talk planned for tomorrow. This is sounding better.

My DH is being very attentive and polite right now. Not a resolution, but an indication that at least he does really care. Didn't get the appointment scheduled yet for the official "talk" with the bishop but I did put in the call.

Aye, it's late, and time to think about lovely workouts for tomorrow a.m.! Sleep well, everyone!

Cheryl

Just a couple quick add ons:

WendyX, So glad the service went well. Such a relief that all of that is over and life resumes to semi-normal again. My Thai food was yummy:p I had Panang curry, red curry, Tom Kha Kai soup and a bite of Chicken Satay. Needles to say, I'm FULL!!! I had to wait four hours to have my chocolate and vanilla ice cream with Reese's, brownie and fudge on top. I am going to die tomorrow during my workout:eek:

DebraX, Glad the talk was at least so so. It could have been worse. Maybe you'll have more worked out tomorrow. How much longer does he have to be in Russia? At least you have your BFF to keep you occupied:) Way to go on unpacking the rest of the boxes!! Now it's time for pictures:D I'm glad your head is feeling better. Have fun with Anna:p

Traci-X, Hope all of your head issues went away and you get a good night's sleep:)

Amy, You one upped me on good b-day presents. I got to work out with a Cathe DVD for the first time today and you really get to work out with Cathe on your b-day! Lucky girl!!!

Cheryl, I wish I liked the low fat Thai food, but alas I like the dishes with coconut milk:p I am glad you made the appointment to talk to your bishop.

See you ladies tomorrow,

Nicole
