WW'S JULY FIREWORKS

Faith...congrats on your loss despite the 3-sleeve-carton-binge!! That cracked me up, b/c I have had many a moment!! How are you liking the PP system?? How many points can you have per day? Most ppl are at 29 PP for the day.

Everyone's been so good at posting their eats except me b/c my have sucked! Today for instance...

B---coffee
S---nothing
L---hamburger Kid's meal from BK
S---nothing
D---going to a buffet for a work party at a "mashed potatoes and gravy down-home meal kinda place" Help me! Did I mention they have homemade pie too???????

I weighed in today, I've been hovering around 128-129 lb range for the past 3 weeks. I'm happy with that for now considering I havent counted points in ages and havent planned any meals. I did preview the instructional dvd from my new RKS kettlebell set. My week is crazy so I'm planning on starting KB's next week.

Stacy, if I hovered in the 128-129 lb range I'd be doing the happy dance!!!

Question for everyone, what rotation cathe or non cathe have you gotten the best weight results from?

Wiggie:: Weight loss is diet diet diet...for me anyway. And most unfortunately I might add! :p Yes the work outs help burn extra cals and they definitely help tone/build muscle and expedite fat loss but I can say without hesitation that only when my diet has been really good have I ever lost weight and seen the really fabulous physical results that you can SEE from an exercise program!! That being said, my best results so far were from P90X, Slim Series and STS. :) Hoping to add Body Rock to that list soon! ;)

Thank you Wendy!! I've had a loss every week but this one, since I started WW. I thought maybe the heavy weights I lifted starting STS may have caused that. Just wondering do I need to do something else until I get nearer to my goal. I know everyone's body responds differently, just rethinking my strategy for next week.

I'll echo what Wendy said, for me it's pretty much all about diet! That being said, i saw more visible results with running/walking on the treadmill and doing Jillian's workouts and STS Mesocycle 2.

Wiggie...my baseline weight is 110-115 so 128-129 isnt too great for me :( When I started WW I was 136. That was in January. I need to get back to counting points. I keep saying that......

Good Morning.

Today is my rest day so no w/o this morning. My hammies are a bit tight this morning but that's it. No real DOMS to speak of. I'm shocked!

Wiggie:: You CAN try adding more cardio if your diet is good on WW. Cardio is a bigger calorie burner then weight lifting. I wouldn't worry about the fact that you are lifting heavy weights though. If you are eating well and/or doing enough cardio then they shouldn't be an issue.

Stacy:: Wow-I haven't seen 115# since high school  but I am darned near close to 120# and I haven't seen THAT in well over 10 years either so I'm thrilled! :D Keep pluggin' away and you'll get there. Your job is a big factor. If you weren't so crazy at work I think everything else would fall into place easier for you. You've lost a nice amount of weight so far though so good for you! That's great! :)

Stacy, yes I get 29 PP. I played around on calculator and figured out that a low fat, moderately high protein diet with fiber included would = about 1200 cal / 29 PP before fruit/veggies free add ons.

This is what I have done to get back on track, I apologize in advance for preachiness--before you start counting points again, at least make sure at the end of the day you have eaten AT LEAST 5 svgs of fruits/veggies. Force yourself to eat an apple after your coffee. Eat half bag of carrots, sugar snap peas, or cherry tomatoes or some of each at lunch. Squeeze in a big salad w/ beans or chicken breast before 6 pm. Those were the tools I used the other times I have been successful in shifting toward eating clean and following WW and is what I am trying now. --- that is why I am faithnveggies...I have faith IN veggies. Wiggie, I concur w/ Wendy and Stacy about diet vs exercise. Were you thinking of straying from STS? Ack, I need the role models! I do think that blasts of high intensity/intervals are really helpful for fat loss and increased fitness. Wendy's body rock really seems to fit that and as Stacy said walk/jog/sprints. Also, there is a rotation that fitness freak posted recently and it features alot workouts w/ blasts.

Sorry this is sooo long, I really am posting to motivate myself. I'll bbl to check in with all.

Thanks guys!! I do weights 2-3 times a week & I do cardio 5-6 times a week for at least an hour. I do turbo fire alot, including the HIIT workouts, I do Cathe workouts like intensity, Imax 2 & 3, lots of step workouts, lots of kickbox, Cathe & others. I guess it's unrealistic to think I should lose every week. This is the first time I haven't had a loss, so maybe I should just chill unless it becomes a trend. thanks for all the encouragement!!

Wiggie:: I haven't lost every week either and a couple times there was a slight gain. It's not fun to see at the time but it all works itself out in the end if you are doing what you should be doing MOST of the time. I think you are fine. Just keep doing what you are doing. :)

Hellllloooo All,

Happy Hump Day!!

Glad everyone is doing great.

Sorry for MIA...lots going on. I will explain later...

Allee

Hi Allee....Bye Allee!;)

Jody:: That's about what I eat in a day-5 servings. 1 pc of fruit after my work out, 3 to 4 servings of fruit or veggie at work thru out day and a veggie with dinner. It works! :)

Good afternoon everyone. Today's workout was CTX step & interval stepping only. I figure I didn't sleep well last night I would do a short step. Usually I do only 30 to 50 minutes of exercise a day anyway.

Wiggie don't sweat it your probably have loss next week. I gain last week and loss this week.

Today's eats:
B Shakelogy with fat free milk and banana
L Bagel thins with natural peanut butter and cantaloupe
S protein shake with fat free milk and banana
D Taco chicken a little bit different then the one that Wendy made.
S Some sort of ice cream
S Watermelon

I forgot to mention that most nights I've been adding a handful of almonds which is 5 PP. I figure since I am not having wine I will have that instead which is a better choice for me since I had a loss this week.

Hi to you too Allee!!

Barb,

Your bringing up almonds reminds me of how I miss the yummy salads I used to eat :(...almonds, craisins, cheese, olives...all kinds of good stuff but in WW the points on those things add up quickly so I've had to abandon them. I still eat salads but the only thing I might add are olives. None of the other stuff. Come to think of it though, I MIGHT be able to pull it off for dinner since that's my most point heavy meal of the day.... I'll check it out tonight since I'm not doing any real cooking anyway! Good night for it if it will work! Wish me luck! ;) I will NOT give up dessert or my wine for it tho! NO WAY! LOL

Wendy good luck. Yeah I know those almonds can really add up but I guess it's working for me because of giving up the wine. I do miss it though. I think I am going to treat myself on the weekends.

Jody....thanks for the motivation! Your pics are fantastic!! What did you do/change specifically to get that lean look at 113 lb??

I'm holding steady, weigh in was 129.8 this morning. I dont see work getting any less hectic, oftentimes I work right thru lunch. Having IBS limits some of the things I can eat, ie. cant do salads. But these are not excuses, just obstacles. No workout for me today, but plan on doing something before I goto work in the morning. Not sure what the weekend will be like, we have our niece moving in temporarily so going to be busy setting up her room which is right off my workout area, so going to have come up with a game plan there!

Not tons of time this morning but I did manage to do Jillian's Shred workout #3 before I head off to another grueling day at work!

Check back later...

Wendy, how did the salad turn out? I used to make similar one's too, yum, but you are right, the cheese and sugary craisins can be a prob. What about pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds, wonder if those would be much better? Also, did you do Bodyrock today? What mods, if any?

Stacy, at my Cathe Fit 113 I was as lean looking as I used to be at my coffee ciggy waif 105, but better and healthy of course. At that time I was doing jogs w/ sprints (every new song on player meant 45 second full on) 2 x week, cardio only premixes of LIC, DM, BM2, and to lesser extent BM1, Lowmax. Also dance classes, I think then I was doing about 3 or more a week (advanced class, troupe, rehearsal). Wts I was doing PH, MIS, BM2, B&G, BM1-- weights only and rarely whole w/o all at once, I would just chunk out a body part and often only hit each body part once a week. I will go back and add my "new" before pics from now. I love looking at the progression, amazing what carrying around all that extra wt does to you. ALSO agrees/ w/ Wendy that crazy sched is harder to manage w/o and eating.

Yest. eats were kinda crappy: Eng Muffin, LF cheese and egg, protein shake, yellow cake and frosting (darn kids), milk, chicken breast and steamed broccoli. W/O = CTX bi and tri and one dance class. WW mtg today I think. Hugs and Hi to all, I'm surely beyond proper words/post etiquette limit. sorry....
