Winkle RIP

Winkle, our black and white Norwegian Forest Cat was having a hard time peeing, so I took him in to the vet. Before we did though, Joe and I thought that if this is a spiral downhill for our diabetic kitty, then we would have him put down. Got there, and it was exactly what Joey and I thought. I made the decision to put him down, only because I didn't want him to suffer any more. He would never have been better and only sick here on out.

I can't seem to stop crying sorry guys.

{{{Janie}}}

I'm so sorry for your loss.
My condolences to you and your human and animal family.

Big hugs to you! I know how hard it is. We had to put down my little Baxter a couple months ago and it was terrible. They (pets) become such a huge part of our families. Winkle will always be with you. My prayers are with you.

Dear Winkle

We know you had a lovely life and were very well loved with Janie as your Mummy.

What a beautiful cat! It is SO hard to lose the unconditional love given to us by our beloved pets. Hugs to you & yours...

So sorry!!!! I had to put down my Merlin kitty a little less than a year ago. Bawled when I called to make the appt. Sniffled all the way to the vet. Cried at the vet. Cried all the way to work. Cried at work. Sniffled and snuffled all the way home.

It's not easy. Cry all you need you.

Hugs!!!

Nan

Janie,

I am so sorry. I know how hard it is and how painful it is to lose a furry baby. Love and hug your others because they will help you heal. You did the right thing, as difficult as it was.

Aww, Janie...I'm so sorry. It's been a couple years since we had to put our "very first baby", our choc Lab to sleep. It's a horrible thing to go through but you showed Winkle your love for him by not letting him suffer anymore. He'll forever be in your heart. My pup's sister Lab gave us so much comfort in the days and weeks after we lost him...your other kitty & pup will do the same for you.

((((Hugs))))

So sorry for your loss,it is so so hard to go through this, may his memories warm your heart. With Sympathy.this poem is in my kitty's memory box.

Poem For Cats
And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

You all are such a blessing during this time of loosing my Winkle.

I knew, if I posted my story, that there would be support. I wasn't disappointed.

When ever I felt the urge to cry, (many times) I went back to these posts.

Thank you for your kindness, hugs, encouragement, heartfelt empathy and understanding. I truly appreciate it.

Janie

So sorry for your loss. Never an easy thing to go through. Just know that he will live forever in your memories.

Janie,
I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Of course you can't stop crying; you've lost one of your children. My prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He looks just like my parents' Norwegian forest cat, Sebastian.

Losing a pet is a kind of pain only other pet owners can truly understand. I'll be thinking and praying for you and your family.
