Does anyoneout there have a Wii Fit? What do you think of it? Not something I wnat to replace my workouts but just an added bonus & movement for the kids.

Thanks for any input

Humph! I would LOVE to have a Wii Fit but still can't find one in my area:(.

I know, it was no help to you but the people who sell on ebay and show 10 of them in the picture make me mad:mad:.

I don't have one, either, but I have heard they have a boxing game for it that is double-tough.....hmmmmm...just keep telling myself...you can't have this, you just ordered STS!

just got done playing some wii sports(the game that comes with the console) the boxing games on both this and the Wii are pretty good. not cathe good but good.

no its not a replace for workouts but its actually pretty good for some core stuff and balancing. the balance games sometimes make me sweat when i play for a long time. there are also aerobics with basic stepping(step in sync with the other mii's for high score) and running as well as hula hoops(play this for 20min bet you will be sore!). strength stuff is mostly for core work doing standing and floor work with the board so it tests your balance. there are push ups as well. the more you play and the higher your score the more reps or levels you can unlock on all the games(i unlocked the challenge the trainer for push ups, plank hold, and jacknife crunches). the yoga is a nice way to end the games or just to have something to do. i find i learn a little about my balance and how i am progressing playing some of these games.

its defiantly a game one could get to get the kids moving off the couch. i am waiting to hear about more games made for the Wii Fit Board.

My 17 year old daughter has one and she loves it!! It won't replace a a Cathe workout ;) but it's fun for kids, and I think it would be great for someone totally new to exercise, at any age.

we got lucky when our local best buy got Wii's and this was before the fit was release so we put a hold on one so they had to get it to us since they took the order. not a very good decision b/c this was right before the economy really went haywire(well it was before but you know what i mean LOL) so now i am stuck with this $600 bill for the console, games, extra controllers and the fit.

i see collage is going to carry it whenever they get over this limited stock crap. how could nintendo not see this was going to be a hot item before they release it? :eek:anyway i would search reputable sites and keep on best buy(or other retailers for that matter) b/c that is how we knew they got their shipments in. i would say ebay but how things are these days i wouldn't trust this type of purchase to them if my life was hanging in the balance for it. but that is just me ;). also word around the sewing circle is that some folks have figured out how to use the board for the regular Wii games so if i can find how to do that this gal is going Tony Hawk Style YEAH BABY!!! skateboarding without breaking a tailbone. LOL

According to one Target employee, they get Wii's about 30 Wii's once a month. My local Target just got some in last week, so you might check Target if you have one in your area. Also, my friend said that they have Wii's available at Costco. Hope you find one soon :)

I wanted to buy wii fit but I dont have a wii yet! (I can not find one)
but, my local walmart had last week more than 50 wii fit on display, dont remember the price, but I think I remember it was around 70-80 dlls

We love it. It's no substitute for the workout DVD's that most of us do, but it's great family fun. I agree that the yoga and balance challenges are great. My kids love boxing, tennis and running. Husband likes heading soccer balls and the tightrope. Even my 2 year old has a Mii and lieks running races.

Thanks for all you comments, very helpful. Now I just have to find one......

I have gotten pretty good about finding these things. I bought my Wii console just after the holidays using this site: http://www.itrackr.com/ and found three others (on separate occasions) for friends or family at Target. One of the guys in electronics told me that when the Wii is advertised in the weekly circular, they typically will have gotten a shipment of about 3 dozen units. I assume the same would be true for the Wii Fit.

I haven't used it in awhile, but I like the Wii Fit -- although I'll admit that parody did make me chuckle. My favorites are heading the soccer balls, ski jumps, and rolling the ball. I've also used it for the We Ski game.

Generally, I'm not a heavy user of the Wii. I bought it mainly for winter entertainment. It's surely not exercise, but I figure if I'm going to be playing video games, at least I'm moving a little.

This is one of the best ways to find it. Check the Sunday circulars early in the morning. If any of them have the wii fit in the circular, that means they just got a shipment in. Head over to the store before it opens (there may be a line of people doing the same thing.) That is how we got our wii, mario kart for the wii, and wii fit. Good luck!

I agree with what people have said here. It's not that strenuous a workout, but if you've going to play video games anyway, it beats sitting on the couch. And it's a fun thing for the family to do together.
