Why in the world did I use Hydroxycut?!?

Sometimes I need to be flogged with a wet noodle. I decided to try Hydroxycut (along with proper diet and exercise, of course) despite the mixed reviews both on this site and Amazon.com. Desperation makes a person do strange things, I guess...

Well howdy doody! I'm bloated, constipated, extremely headache-y, tired (and this is supposed to boost your energy?) and the results are NON-existent. (Actually...my weight has increased...not decreased!)

Has ANYBODY had good results with this stuff? On the flipside, has anyone experienced these symptoms?

Please quit using it. I made the mistake years ago of trying redux and now have a permanent heart problem. It's not worth it. Eat less, exercise more is the only way.

I used it 5 years ago

And it did not work for me either. I was a size 4 back then so I don't even know what I was thinking. My weight increased too. The products should not be on the market. They are dangerous.

I tried it years ago and got heart palpulations..it was awful and scared the crap outta me. No more pills for me. Oh, and I'm fatter now than I've ever been but there is no way I'll try any kind of diet pills again.

Connie, your beautiful horse looks so much like my Bella. :D
Do you board or does the horse live at your home?

i think i have tried every diet pill out there. i did so just to see if they would reduce my appetite. In the end, i got extremely moody, terrible headaches, and they made me hungrier and i ended up binging. I never really needed the pills to lose weight but tried them thinking any little bit helps. i've known a few women who have been on these types of pills for a while and in the end it totally messed up their metabolism. so stay away from the stuff and save the money to buy a new workout dvd instead:)

kicked myself too

I never used hydroxycut, but two weeks ago, out of desperation, I bought The burn for women. It made me feel jittery, and I only took half of the dosage recommended. I was nervous, jittery, moody (MOODY) and on top of it, for the entire week I took it, I lost nothing (not even a pound) and I had less energy, not more like it promises. I felt so funny, I stayed in and sat on the couch.

Needless to say, I was calling myself a dumb#@$ for buying it and wasting money that could have been better spent on a new DVD or weights.

We all make mistakes sometimes. I think for me, I have been losing a few pounds, then stalling, then losing, then stalling. I'll lose for three weeks, then stay the same for three weeks, then lose again. I was getting so frustrated, I thought this would give me a jumpstart.

I think it is true, there is no fast solution to this, it is all diet and exercise. And these "magic pills" are not worth the damage they can do to our bodies, or minds (this really made me bitchy).

In time, if we stay focused and dedicated and ride out the times when we feel like we aren't losing enough fast enough, we will all reach our goals. We will be healthier and happier for it too!:D

Thanks guys...

This forum is great. You can get answers to questions, chat with Cathe...AND get support from your sisters when you do something a little short of stupid! Thanks for all the feedback. I'm definitely STOPPING the Hydroxycut. Whatever little BOOST it may (or may NOT in my case) deliver is just not worth all the annoying side effects and MONEY.

I think I'll do some extra cardio to punish myself! :)

I have a huge bottle of it that I just need to throw away! I can't take that stuff -- it makes me feel so awful! I haven't had your side effects, but irregular heartbeat and stuff like that. It just makes me feel terrible.

Stop taking it and I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for this post, I was thinking of trying this but not now. I hope you get to feeling better. :)

I tried it a few years ago and thought I was having a heart attack. I used it for 3 days. About 2 days after I stopped I had headaches so bad I wanted to cut my head off. What a waste of money.

I'm a minority opinion it appears, but I had amazing results with Hydroxycut when it had ephedra...got to my leanest bodyfat ever, had tons of energy...cried when it was banned. I've also had awesome results with phentermine...I was never hungry...it was amazing!
However, I came to the conclusion that I needed to see if I could get the same results without a *crutch*...alas, I have not....20+ hours a week of exercise will not make up for a crappy diet! :(
I would agree with the other posts though, throw it away if it makes you feel icky!
