why can't I re upload my avatar?

I don't think avatars are showing up for anyone - it's not just you. I'm sure there will be bugs with the new forums that need to be worked out the first few days/weeks - this is probably one of them. :)
 
There are a lot of things that are not working correctly right now. Some of them are minor, but many are major. Avatars are one of the minor things that are not working right now. Currently, we have been focusing on just the major problems, which there are many. You can still upload your avatar as, I see you have, and can check by clicking on your username and going to MyCatheSpace. We’ve had employees working over 30 hours straight now and were sending them home for some much needed sleep. We will resume work on the site on Monday and by Wednesday we expect to have most of the major issues fixed. It will take us at least two more weeks though to really have the site working properly. In the meantime we have taken the www.thecathenation.com home page offline until we can fix the many problems that this page has. We will keep the forums up and running for now, but there will be issues for at least a few more days with the forums and many of the other features on this site.
 
Yes, very much so. In moving and launching a site like this there are all kinds of problems. Though you can never predict what these problems will be, you always know there will be many. We currently have images that did not link properly, PHP code that was overwritten, CSS code that was damaged and things we have no idea what happened. But this is actually the norm for this type of work and we will work through these issues as quickly as possible.

We now have a staff of seven people working for us on website development and their expertise includes PHP, CSS, .Net and Graphic Design. We now for the first time have enough people with the right credentials to really do almost anything we need done on our website. Once we finish fixing the major and minor problems on our new site we look forward to your input on how we can improve our site and what features you would like to see us develop.

We have just launched four new support and suggestion forums for our website and software. Please post your questions, suggestions and concerns in these forums so that we may help you and you can help us to improve our site and software.
 
Wow, I can't even imagine how much work goes into doing something like this. I will surely be patient and just lucky that the forums are even up at all this quickly. So thanks in advance to everyone working on this project and I hope you all have a much needed rest!
 
Not a big deal...I think I can wait a week or so before coming back and posting my mindlessness....
 
Administrator, the team is doing a great job! Kudos for getting the forums up so quickly. It will be fun to see the site unfold over the next few weeks!
