Who's In Your CD Player Right Now?

In my car, probably a country cd but I'm not sure who. In my house...I have no clue and I'm too lazy to get up and go look after the work out I did this morning! :p

Actually, I listen to books on tape and CD all the time, way more than music. They get me through boring washing up, laundry, cooking, cleaning bathrooms. You get the picture.

I like to lose myself and abandon reality. Narratives help me do that more than music.

Me too!

Sometimes I listen to Rachael Lampa.

Yay Sparrow!

I usually have on anything by Jimmy Buffett. Eveyone I work with has become a parrothead involuntarily, because that's who I play on my day to control the music.

Occasionally something by the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris or something Celtic will sneek in.

Foo Fighters
Kenny Chesney
Keith Urban

They are in the DVD player hooked up to the TV. The others spaces have Cathe's workouts (bootcamp and KPC). :)

Interesting, Debbie.

I didn't know he was making recent music. I like his stuff too.
I'm also a big fan of Sammy Hagar. He wrote "I've Done Everything for You."

*Steve Vai

*Rainbow (man on a silver mountain)
*Bostons Greates Hits
*Kanny Chesney's Greatest Hits
*Clint Black's Greatest Hits

I tend to purchase the greatest hits cd's instead of each individual one.:)

Another Parrothead here. So, always something by Buffett... But I have odd tastes, so my six CD changer in my car I currently have (and have them on random)

1. Buffett - Far Side of the World
2. Buffett - Meet Me in Margaritaville Disc 1
3. Billy Joel - Greatest Hits Disc 2
4. Sound Track from Phantom of the Opera
5. Tom Scott - Apple Juice
6. Buffett - Songs You Know By Heart

Christine-

So glad to meet another parrothead/catheite! Do you go to concerts? I'm afraid I've never had the experience. Too expensive or too far away. It's on my list of things to do during this lifetime, along with levitation holds!

Seether, Disclaimer II
Seether, Karma & Effect
The Red Hot Chili Peppers - Live in Hyde Park
Velvet Revolver
Nickelback - The Long Road

Glad to meet you too!!! Gotta love Buffett and Cathe! Now if Cathe just did an entire workout to Buffett music - I'd be in heaven!!! I figure if we can bop to the Pina Colada song in IMax2 - Margaritaville cannot be far behind. LOL

I'm fortunate in that I live in the Bay Area and we're always on his list. I've been to several concerts. Always in the back, but they are certainly an experience. I remember my first one - my dh bought the tickets for me for my birthday. He's not a Parrothead, but as I am, he decided he'd take me (major points for that one, I'll tell ya!). I kept telling him that we had to get to the concert by noon (it started at 8PM), and he could not figure out why. We finally get there at 5PM (with him complaining the whole time about getting there way too early) to find the parking lots already filled with cars, mobile homes, campers, trucks... you name it, and people EVERYWHERE dressed Hawaiian shirts, or grass skirts and coconut bras (including several men - something for the gross list, actually) and holding margaritas (or Corona's or anything that sounded remotely tropical). As we parked, a group of guys pulled up in a pickup truck, took out a baby wading pool, filled it with Corona's and ice... My DH turns to me and says, "Why didn't you make me come sooner???" He was serious. I smacked him upside the head (lightly). It's a giant party... And the concert? Oh man - it was wonderful... The MAN can really put on a great show! You really have to try to get to one... You'll love it...

Sorry to hijack the thread... And now back to our original programming...

>Jack Johnson baby! I was so happy last week because I scored
>on some tickets to go see him. I never could quite get the
>money together to buy tickets, and an hour before the concert
>one of my highschoolers from youth group called and had found
>two tickets for 20 bucks! Someone else couldn't go who had
>them, so off we went.
>
>I also have Third Day, Jeremy Camp, and Skillit....thank
>goodness you only asked about the cd player and not the
>iPod!!

My brother just bought a Jack Johnson cd for me - I had never heard of him!!! I like it a lot!!!

I also have Reckless Kelly, Soundtrack to Rent the musical, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Kenny Chesney.

I just discovered Jack Johnson myself. Absolutly love him! I have the one with "Where'd all the good people go?". It's so fun, you can hear his Hawain influence.
