Who really knows anymore?

Hello Jennifer,

I try to practice yoga daily. Some days I practice 90 minutes, some days 15 minutes. It depends upon how I am feeling that day really. I attend classes, use DVDs and do my own practice. If you regularly do a strong practice (perhaps vinyasa or ashtanga style) you should have no problems maintaining or increasing your strength. If you are looking for DVDs I recommend anything from Shiva Rea. I would also recommend taking classes regularly to ensure you are doing the poses properly. I am now teaching one yoga class per week at my local community center, but I make sure I still attend a class weekly so I continue to learn and develop.

Monica, this is great that your recommending this. I just ordered her creative core series. I should get them next week. Are you doing cardio as well or just yoga? Jennifer, I also would recommend Mark Blanchard and Brian Baptist.

I always feel my best when i do more body weight exercises, yoga, and cardio. For some reason weights just wear me down even when its light and high rep.

Thanks, Monica and kariev!

I love Shiva Rea--I have one of her DVD's. That and the Ali McGraw ones are the ones I consistently reach for. Something about the voice/instruction that is so soothing and I feel incredibly relaxed doing them.

Not a huge fan of Baron Baptiste. I want to be, I really do. I think he's great, but for some reason, I just don't can't get into his workouts.
