Sorry, I can't post or read the forum from work, so I just got home and saw your question. He has her and is still raising her. I don't see her--was never able to really form a relationship with her for a number of reasons. No, he's not a pedophile.

But do not apples that sit at the top, unpicked, rot and fall? We may just have started out fresh and fab, rotted and fallen to those unworthy creatures. What about shaking the tree? We could have been shaken from the tree. Personally, I love to climb trees and I would enjoy climbing to the tip top to get my apple, worms and all. I met Rich the summer I was 23 and it's been nineteen years, not 18. My parents were married for 54 when my dad died. It would be 63 if he had lived. I am certain of it. Our marriage WAS wormy too but we survived and now we are too tired and old to not just happily grow old together. My goal is at least 54 years. :D

Hey, when Rich lusts for gorgeous creatures like Angelina, I always tell him something that is really evil and cruel but so descriptive, it's irresistable. "She wouldn't spit on you if your guts were on fire." Then he knows he'd be smart not to look at busty young babes but to turn an adoring gaze on his slim and boobless wife. Or his guts will be on fire. }( And I will not be reaching for a fire extinguisher and I don't spit.

Well, i married my dh twice in one month!:+ the first a civil ceremony for legal purposes and the 2nd so that we could say our own vows and do it the way we wanted to.


i have been engaged several times before for convenience but i had no intention of marrying them and i'm glad i never did!

i have no intentions of ever marrying again....

I'm looking for #2! Just kidding! I'm currently separated and 95% positive it will result in the big "D" word so I constantly fantasize about #2 though I don't intend for it to be mistake #2. If #2 doesn't work out, I think I'd give up on marriage.

Luna - (((HUGS))) to you. You will find love again! Trust me, I know sometimes it doesn't feel like you will, but it will happen.
 
Yoik. I see that in my absence there has been much talk. Couple things:

1. Seriously, I don't look like Angelina Jolie. :)

2. It is truly possible to be the sort of person who doesn't inspire "romantic" love in a dude.

3. I can see from all of your encouraging words, that I have a lot of friends here. That is worth more to me than any guy who would wind up dumping me anyway.

4. I may be an apple high up in a tree, but I'm being pecked at by crows. By the time any guy bothers to climb that tree, I'll be merely seeds and core.

I love you guys, too. Dorks. :)

Aw Luna, that made me so sad! I know it's not what you mean, but we love you! :) You are funny, caring and a wonderful person! I'm always interested in reading your posts, and you really brighten up the gloom that sometimes gets into my world.

Hang in there and focus on YOU loving you and being happy with yourself! That is the most important thing. At that point anyone who wants you to change can take a flying leap and isn't someone you should be around anyway!

I'm sending you a big tube of band-aid super glue so you can stick that sucker in place and finally get some healing done!

Oh, Looney, romantic love is such BS! Practical love is much better with lowered expectations and the ability to overlook much and to endeavor to see the good things that made you fall in love. You know the ones? The ones that disappear quickly when things get real. :) But the memory of those qualities can be so satisfying! ;)
