Who has married more than once?

Sound like I'm in the minority.. ONCE WAS enough for me. Married once... 6 years 2 WONDERFUL kids. Divorced and good friends - split up 15 years ago.

One seriously relationship in that time. Sadly he passed away from cancer 4 years ago.

So I'm in the SINGLE FOR LIFE category! My friends and relatives have finally given up on the some day you will meet someone and get married.
 
When I was married, I used to introduce my husband to people as "my first husband." It was a joke, but turned out to be prophetic. At this point, I doubt I will get married again. I'm recovering from a relationship with a man I still live with so the band-aid on my heart gets ripped off on a daily basis.

I'm at a place, mentally and emotionally, where I truly believe no one will love me again. I'm trying to make peace with that rather than getting my hopes up. If your expectations are low, you won't be disappointed.

You are an incredibly witty person. And you work out. With Cathe no less. I betcha your beautifull as well as funny.:D
 
I'm with Elaine, Luna. And you will be loved again and it will never have the power it did to hurt because you are smart and we take things from each failure and learn how not to fail again at least not in the same way. I have always belonged to someone and if I didn't, I'd fly solo, I think. Who can know for sure? :)

Luna is gorgeous - she looks like Angelina Jolie. I can't wait to room with her on the Road Trip! I know where you're coming from, Luna, dear. I felt the exact same way you did. It just takes some time....meanwhile take care of YOU and it will hit you when you least expect it! There's no way somebody like you is going to stay single for the rest of her life! You're a total catch and you're going to make some lucky man very happy!!

That is utter nonsense. You crack me up almost everyday! What goes around comes around, and you make people feel good, so you will find someone -or someone will find YOU- who makes you feel good, too, and love you immensely!!!

What can he say? He'd dump me for Angelina in a New York minute. But I would wait until he is dead and I am a merry widow before popping the question. Maybe I should ask Luna? For all I know, Angelina is an idiot and we all know that Luna is da bomb!

Luna, where are you????? we love you! you just haven't met a man smart enough to catch up to what we have learned yet! If you believe that you will never find love again, it could pass you up. You are a wonderful person. Don't get down on yourself! :)

This reminds me of a saying I cut out and put on my wall:

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, THEY'RE AMAZING. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

The funny thing about this is that when I met my bf, he was climbing up and cutting down his dad's tree!! Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!! :p

I have been married to first husband a VERY long time, and although we are good now (too old to be bad;-) ) it has been a VERY hard road. Other than my grown kids,who are terrific, it has been a nightmare. Life is too short. I would NEVER marry again. Or co-habitate. I may date, and definitely have a physical relationship, but no commitments.
 
Angie, are you saying we been "reached" because we are the rotten apples on the ground? That's sort of mean. I am not only good, I am very easy. I mean I am not easy! I was on the ground becasue my husband is too darned lazy to climb up and get me but that doesn't mean I am a rotten apple.
