Hi fit babes and Happy Mother's Day to you all! I hope each of you get spoiled by your loved ones. Although I don't know how you got talked into cooking on this day Lisa....
Hi Ronne! Glad Spring arrived for you, it finally did here today! We had some days that were warm and then we'd plunge back down to rain and cooler temps. Turns out we had the 3rd wettest April on record this year! I'm glad you had a great time in Madrid despite your unusual sleeping quarters. A day of culture followed by beer and tapas would be a perfect weekend for me, especially if it was in another country! I'm jealous you saw Arcade Fire, I would have been dancing too! DH and I do not share the same taste in music so we don't see bands. It's still something I wish we had in common but we have lots of other things in common so I enjoy my music on my own. I LOVED your lazy Sunday. DH told me I used to stay in my jammies on Sundays when we were first dating 20 years ago. I don't even remember that because it's certainly not that way anymore! That's why I want to retire, right now!
Glad you got some mini tramps Jody for all of that work you've been doing! I think mini tramps are better than bitcoin 'cause I can't afford bitcoin. And I can't hold it in my hand either. I have never heard of getting Rick-rolled before, that is hilarious! Glad you had fun at the PGA social work thing even though you don't remember your post and have banned yourself from further parties. No harm done! I'm glad your dad's cataract surgery was successful. My dad had that surgery a couple of years ago and it too went well. I think he's lived long enough now to get his money's worth! So happy for you that you are going to London this summer! Again, I will live vicariously through you on your trip! And the next time you have free time and feel guilt and angst, please ask yourself why and work it right out of your head. You deserve peace of mind!
So good to see you Murphy! You rock with your positive attitude, living life and training for a 5k! I've never done a 5k, nor trained for one so I wish you double luck with it!!
Hi Mary! I remembered Rick Astley's hit the second you mentioned his name! I'm glad his concert was one of the best you've seen. You mentioned doing a Cathe Live that had vertical loading. What is vertical loading? I have to give you kudos for not doing online shopping--that's incredible! I've done a whole lotta purchasing online and am grateful I could. I am not in a big city with all the great stores! Enjoy your college kids and visiting them this summer! I laughed when you talked about Cathe'e new workouts. I think you have FOMO!
Lisa--89 MPH winds in your area? That's scary!! I'm glad you did not attempt a bike ride that day! I doubt pet insurance would have helped us because Riley has a pre-existing condition. I think Madrid sounds exotic because it is in a different country while S. Dakota is not! Keeping my fingers crossed that DH is treated well throughout his time at work. I'm sorry you got sick, but you are one of the most productive sick persons I've ever known! LOVED the photo of the pretty flowers, rocks and best of all, Suki!!
So, Riley's infection is gone--yippee! We went back to the eye specialist this week to see how his cataracts are. Fortunately, they have not progressed. But Riley is in his adolescent rebellious stage and tried to bite the doctor. Numerous times! So no surgery scheduled. Yet. $150 later, we have a new cone (he's grown!) and tranquilizers (for him, not me I'm sad to say). We have to cone him for a week and put eye drops in 3 times a day. This is just practice! We will see how he does and let the doctor know. I've decided to give him the tranquilizer because I'm tired of fighting him. He is a fun, loving, playful pup in all other respects. I just really want his vision fixed so we can move on with our lives! Like you said Ronne, no more trips for a while!
Except I bought tickets to visit a friend in CA back in November so I will be heading down there on the 22nd. It cannot come soon enough! I still take Basil out for a run a few times a week and workout when I can. I'm doing the FS/X-Train rotation every other week now and since the weather has been better, Yard Max too. Well, I've done the bonus burn Weed Max more than anything. I also ordered the new dvds because I have FOMO too! I'm not really a download person because I've had the Beachbody workouts just stop in midstream and I've had to start them over again. And if my internet is down, so are my workouts.
Take care fit babes! Tracy
