Who Cares August

it was a cloudy cool morning, the sun is shining bright now

Jody, yep this trail is on my to do list.

DH and I cycled 24 miles today, even though the route was easy, my legs are tired so used pedal assist a bit more than I normally would have. It was a good ride in a new place and a cool day! Started at 50 degrees, ended at 60 degrees

Hello

Lisa - so, you don't have to wear a helmet but you do have to wear glasses? That's weird. I wish we'd make helmets compulsory here!

Jody - I had a look at that thread, thanks. I also got waylaid by a post about British telly! I think I might go for ICE when I preorder.

Took the weekend off exercise and I think my body needed it. Watched loads more Olympics, my eyes will enjoy the rest now it's finished. Can't believe we came second in the medal table (can't remember the name of the country that came first ...)
Planning to fit some yoga in later.

Hi girls! Yesterday was 22 miles with DH, today 26 with my neighbor. Had a good time but I'm tired! Ronne, my neighbor said she was in the Nederlands and they said you can tell whose American by who is wearing a helmet. Guess they don't wear them? Medal count comparative to population may put a different country in the lead? Inquiring minds......

Hello

Lisa - how do you this every day? I'm amazed at your stamina. I think in other European countries where cyclists have more priority they don't bother with helmets. I did read something about the most successful country (before Rio) ever, allowing for population, number of medals etc.and it was Finland!

TLC 1 - wanted something short. Temp's back up again, hurray. Though I'm taking DD to the theatre in London tonight so not so hurray ... London is horrible when it's hot!

Greetings! So I did an 11 mile ride only because Suki looked at me with those puppy dog eyes! I turned it into 4 drills where I went all out on cadence and heart rate, so a good cardio workout and endorphins followed (that felt good), then did ICE CUB.

Ronne, I think it may be the Vitamin I I take....I as in ibuprofen! LOL! The scale seems to be moving in the right direction and the only thing I've changed is not taking the hormones! Will see how it progresses, sure hope I can easily loose more. It was warm here, hence why (always think of Jody when I say those words) I didn't want to ride, so it was good to only be out an hr in it. A cool front is moving thru tonight so a couple good days of cycling weather. Have fun at theatre, hope it's not too hot! Isn't there air conditioning?

Ronne i read the brit tv thread too. I have watched doc martin and detectorists!
Lisa that trip looks fun hence why you should go asap
Mary i know ur busy but thought u like to know i met nice guy- on my hike meet up.have a date fri.
Suposed to tube on ichetucknee sun-but storm may not go.Still have to drive to Gainesville to give baby gator more of her stuff.
Oh and i think i have a basilisk lizard in my bathroom laundry to catch and ut outside.

Hello!

Lisa - yes there was air con in the theatre but not outside. With all the buildings and people it gets pretty sticky and the tube doesn't have air con at all. But we had a really nice time. We ate outside by the river.

Jody - DH has got detectorists on DVD, I've never watched it, he says it's great. I really like Toby Jones who's in it, I watch pretty much anything with him. Best thing I've seen recently was Unforgotten, a crime drama but a bit different. Quite moving and really good performances. Intriguing man news ...

Hot again here today, I'm off to the park for an ice cream! Did Supercuts (but I always skip the push up/sit up combo at the end, just cannot be bothered!!).

Drizzle rain today so just XT bi and tri. Ronne, I'm sure the humidity makes it worse?! I'm also foam rolling a lot, I think it has a major impact on my muscle recovery from the rides. Jody, hope your date on Fri is good, report back!

Hello

Lisa - sounds like a nice thing to do.

Feeling brave so did RWH LBC. Dripping with sweat by the end of it. Gone a bit drizzly here as well actually, good for my swollen feet!

HI everyone! The move-ins are complete! Very bittersweet. DD lives on 2nd floor with elevator, only the marching band was moving in on her day, very smooth and easy. DS lives on 4th floor of a 200 hundred year old building with no elevator and 1600 people all ascending on the campus at the same time! A little chaotic! All went well, they are very excited and so are we, just miss their faces and presence desperately!

Ronne, very humid here today too, I was a dripping mess after my workout!
Lisa, looks like you had so much fun with your friend biking!
Jody, we want details! Have fun!
Hello to Murphy and Roxie!

Well, need to get to Costco, I'm in charge of 3rd quarter treats for the marching band at the high school, need to go pick up drinks and snacks for. 250 kids. (How'd I get roped into that?). Also, DD has her marching band showcase this weekend, we get to see her for a bit! I'm gonna kiss that face! Lol! Good day to all! Mary

Hi all! DH and I went on a 25 mile ride, saw 2 coyotes looking at us and then a hawk overhead. Suki was on the leash at taht time so we put her in her bike seat. I still would have been scared had DH not been with me. Those coyotes staring at you is a bit nerve wracking. I got a pic, one of the coyotes had taken off (because I was hazing them, ie. yelling in a loud voice to scare them away....suki didn't like me yelling). Mary, how's the "allergies"? They'll be fine! Now you can have more time with the youngest. Ronne, it was a bit chilly cycling today, fall is definitely in the air.

Hello

Mary - glad it's all gone well. It's such an exciting time. I see you're keeping busy!

Lisa - yes, I spotted it ... makes exercise a bit more interesting!

Yoga today. Last workout for a while. We're going away for a week tomorrow. Off to Cornwall, hoping for some late summer sunshine.

HI girls! Today did ICE CUB. Lisa, I would have been pedaling in the other direction as fast as I could! Ronne, have fun on your trip! Fingers crossed for the perfect weather! Jody, have fun on your date! Hello to everyone else! Have a work meeting, semester starts Monday, better get in the proper frame of mind! Good day to all! Mary

Hi ladies! A 30.5 mile ride with my neighbor. Took same route as yesterday with a bit extra added on, no coyotes today! Mary, you going back to work makes it all come home that summer is over! Ronne, have an awesome trip! Jody, you must report back about date!

I'm known for talking to myself and here's proof in the forum. Ronne is away, Jody is MIA after date, Mary is probably working. Murphy is trying to find a DVR that works. Roxie is somewhere, probably working. Well, I did 20 mile bike ride each day this weekend. Today i walked Suki almost 3 miles on a flat paved route that we used to do (the easiest one). I did good, feel it in the bottom outside of my foot (like when it all started). Now I know it's the peroneal tendon that wraps around your ankle and connects to your toes. So I'm getting there! I now know not to do the daily rugged walks; I also did RWH back/shoulders/bi. I'm starting a quilt for my friend's birthday so I'm in a creative streak. Tomorrow I go for ride with my neighbor. I'm planning a long ride near Denver where we went last time and wasn't able to complete, about 35 miles. So probably won't check in.

Good Afternoon,

I haven't worked out a lot due to work stress and having company last weekend and today we are supporo get storms so my head is killing me.

Lisa-good job today
