Which Cathe workouts push you over your comfort zone?

CCC

CCC is one that I find super challenging (among pretty much all the others posted here!) I was going through my workout calendar today and noticed that it's MET value was only 7.0. Afterburn was 8.5 and Athletic training is 7.5. Why is CCC so much lower when its such a killer?

CCC also kills me. Others that kill me: Afterburn, Maximum Intensity Cardio, Intensity, the HiiT's (especially 40/20: yikes!), and IMAXes.

CCC kills me every time. Intensity is tough for me too. Cathe, do you ever work out to your DVDs? There is something that never crossed my mind!

Thanks Cathe for playing along! It was SO nice to hear your response!

I have never tried B&G. It looks like I should, considering it seems to be the favorite amongst Cathe fans. My next purchase... :)

Me too.

But, over all, I think that CCC is the hardest workout she has ever made. The first time I did it, I thought, "Look, its a circuit with core in it, how hard could it be? There isn't even any equipment." Man was I sore and sorry for 10 days. I will never underestimate Cathe ever again.

I haven't had the courage to try Imax 3 with the blasts. I'm more than a bit scared.

I have also had close encounters of the 'doms' kind on Intensity, especially with those 'low impact' HIIT section, it gave me doms for a week as a 10 minute add on to a run. Sheesh, what was I thinking? It didn't feel so hard at the time, but within a day, I knew I was in trouble.

CCC ....hands down, as far as cardio is concerned, and Meso 1 for weights. I'm not an endurance kinda chick, so it's extremely outta my comfort zone...

I think what I find most impressive with your list, Cathe, is that you don't seem winded on the DVDs and somehow you manage to cue through these workouts and not seem out of breathe (like most of us are)....it boggles my mind. This list makes me feel better....these are some of my favorites and the ones that challenge me the most as well. Huge fun factor though, which is why I always come back to them.

You know Jenn I was thinking the same exact thing about Cathe? Her list is pretty much close to mine, so now I know that when I'm out of breath while doing CCC without the ab work it's not me that can't keep up the pace but it's the workout which is really tough! :)

It's so great to know that Cathe finds some of her own workouts tough! :D CCC absolutely for me - that is the toughest one she's ever done. I also agree on the opening 25 mins of AT - that is tough! Intensity step section is the toughest step she's ever done.

Wow, I feel tired just typing them out!:p

I completely agree with Ronne

The step portion of Intensity is the toughest I've ever done. When the Hiit comes, it is a relief! CCC is still my hardest (and least done) because there is no relief until it is over ;)
