Which Cathe workouts push you over your comfort zone?

So far in my Cathe collection, the workouts that pretty much have me begging for mercy are Hiit 40/20 and CCC. They really test my cardiovascular endurance like no other. Turbo Barre is also a real toughie for me, hands down. My legs just tremble and burn and I'm left in complete awe of how challenging simple leg lifts can be. All of Cathe's workouts challenge me in different ways, but those 3 really push me over my comfort zone.

i concur with those choices, but for me i would say also double wave pyramid, and maximum intensity cardio (an oldie but goodie)....that one gets me everytime.....and to a lesser extent than these named, but still gives me such a good butt kicking would be imax 3 and intensity:).....i have all of her workouts and there are still a few of the oldies that i have not done, and the newer ones that i have not yet done so this is all for now....i may have more to add once i've done the ones i have not done yet....lol:)

I definitely agree with CCC - for some reason this one always gets me, no matter how much HIIT training I've done or IMAXes.

My list: IMAX3, Hardcore Extreme. Never tried 40/20 HiIT but that can be added to my list.
Turbo Barre is not bad for me.
Great question.

For me it's Butts and Guts. I do that workout often (work it in once or twice a week for a month, take a break for 4-8 weeks and do it again). The one legged squats kill me but actually more in my hip flexers and those donkey kicks are tough. But that workout is awesome. I just came off one of my rotations with it and went into Afterburn and no DOMS ... unbelievable. Now if only my bottom looked good enough to be worthy of such a performance :)

Can I play? :D I'll tell you which ones take my breath away...

IMAX's

HIIT (especially 40/20 on the jump forward, side turn and tuck, back to back)

Cardio Core circuit (the premix with no core)

Afterburn

The first 25 minutes of Athletic Training...especiallly from the hand pumps w/ knee repeaters and on

Leaner Legs

Legs and Glutes...when I get those weights up there

Intensity

All the PLYO LEGS in STS

Maximum Intensity Cardio (an oldie)

Cycle Max

Afterburn and 4DS Boot camp for over all, and Butts & Guts for lower body. EVERY time I do B&G I have DOMS in my glutes! EVERY. TIME.

And ohhhhhhh yes, I LOVE it. LOL

Two oldies come immediately to mind...

Maximum Intensity Cardio

Circuit Max (this was my "puke in a bucket workout" as I also felt nauseated b/c it kicked my butt so much!!)

----Glad to see this specific move takes your breath away too :) Of all your moves this one kills me the most....every time!!!!!!!!

Maximum Intensity Cardio (an oldie)
----This one is CRAZY hard!!!!!!!

Thanks Cathe for playing along! It was SO nice to hear your response!

I have never tried B&G. It looks like I should, considering it seems to be the favorite amongst Cathe fans. My next purchase... :)

Cathe gets Winded?

Thanks for sharing Cathe! I never imagined you getting winded.

It takes everything in me to push through CCC, MIC and Imax 3. I like to think that my comfort zone has been greatly expanded thanks to Cathe!

LOL! I love it! Cathe gets winded too! I love her in Afterburn... "STALLING!" That helps me keep pushing because I know if Cathe's winded and I'm winded I'm doing something right.

Its so great to hear you on this Cathe!

Do you ever find yourself when you do MIC thinking "how did I keep on going like that?" Cause I often wonder that. Just when I think I'm nearing the end of the workout, you keep on going with something and I think "whaaaaat???" You'd think I'd be used to this workout by now since I've done it many many times, but for some reason I forget how you're like the energizer bunny in this workout - you just keep going, and going, and going...

:):):)

CCC

HiiT 40/20

IMAX 3

Cardio Kicks wearing weighted gloves (my oldie but goodie to add to the list!)

Maximum Intensity Cardio

I love it when she says this too!:D I'm like, Whoo hoo a few extra seconds to catch my breath!

Imax3, and, right now, I cannot do it on anything but one step, and half of it. When my boyfriend died on May26, I was a basketcase, and I did not workout for a long time. I started again, and I met my new boyfriend on a site called plentyoffish. He is a doll, and he is a Columbia MBA and an electrical engineer. My doctor said I was happy for the first time in a long while.

I think what I find most impressive with your list, Cathe, is that you don't seem winded on the DVDs and somehow you manage to cue through these workouts and not seem out of breathe (like most of us are)....it boggles my mind. This list makes me feel better....these are some of my favorites and the ones that challenge me the most as well. Huge fun factor though, which is why I always come back to them.

I love this thread. It looks like it's time to break out some of the workouts I haven't done (Cardio kicks, Circuit Max, Leaner legs and Maximum Intensity cardio). I tend to go on spending sprees and buy a bunch of DVDs, but always save some for "later". I get in a good routine and sometimes stay away from doing something new and unfamiliar.

For cardio kicks - how much weight for the weighted gloves? I only have 1 pound gloves. I haven't been doing much kickboxing lately, I am currently addicted to step. Can't get enough of it!
