I'm finally taking the plunge and am going to get a foam roller. I found one on sale, but the S&H is $10!!!! Any suggestions on cheapest place to order/shop?
Thanks!
Becky

Hi Becky...I got mine at my local Target. It was about $24 and came with an instruction DVD...:)..I feel it was a great investment and I use it often.

Carole - I saw one at Target but it was the short one. Is there any advantage to either the shorter or longer one? I mostly was getting it for Tracey Staehle's Circuit (I think it is) that she uses one in ,and I think it is the longer one but having never used one, I basically have no idea if it even makes a difference! TIA -:D

I have had both long and short. Couldn't stand the short one!! It worked just fine for all the painful moves (which are really what I have it for) but my favorite thing to do with the long one is to lay on it so my spine is on the length of the roller and then stretch out my chest by spreading my arms. You can do the same thing on a ball but my head falls backwards and that is uncomfortable for me as it makes me woozy. On the roller, my head is supported much better.

You can also do some back/shoulder stretches with the longer one that don't work as well with a shorter one.

I got mine from a running store (RRS) and my chiropractor has them too. I'd make a couple calls to physical therapy and chiropractic places near you if you don't want to pay S&H.

Shana..the short one has worked fine for me. I don't know the advantage of the longer one or maybe it is just a personal preference. All I know is this is the only thing that gets in there next to a deep muscle massage!...:)
