When did Running Bras Get so expensive?

I love Freya Sports Bras and I (32DD) get them at BraNecessities.com. They have tons of sales! today I saved 25% off of everything. I also only wash all my bras in Forever New in the sink and line dry after every wash.

I only have like 3 Daily Bras and 3 Sports Bras since they are expensive (about $80 each) and I wear them for at least a year. Get classic colors (nude, white, black) and your set.
Good luck!

Buy Womens R GEAR Star Performer Sportek C/D Sports Bra at Road Runner Sports

this is a link to the sportek bra. this one is a c/d another number is a/b. it's a simple over the head style with quite powerful spandex. it does give a uniboob look but I work out at home and don't really care as long as they stay non bouncy. I am not a heavy sweat person no matter how hard I work, so maybe that's why they hold up so long for me.

monkeydoodle, I don't think there's room for 3 D's in these. DD, maybe. depends on how things are distributed I guess.

I get years of use out of one, but I have at least 6 so they don't get worn constantly. I wash warm, dry in dryer on gentle.

I am still laughing about getting ANY bra up over my hips!!!! NOT going to happen in this lifetime!

roadrunner sports is a good place to shop for all kinds of fitness gear. very competitive prices . I have bought shoes, socks, pants, tights, exercise capris, shorts etc. over many years and have been happy with their service, products and pricing.

I tried this bra at the recommendation of another Cathlete...for me I didn't feel it was supportive enough (only 1D here), but I also don't care for bras that support through compression only...just my own preference.

Always interesting to read what works for whom..,I'm always on the hunt for my next great sports bra!

sadly I can know long find cheap bras that fit me. I wear a 30d. Which it seems american bras are all 34 + now. The only thing I have found were like a 32 a/b and i was falling out and straps are to big

I like the Freya bras cause I like the back closure, i don't like pulling over my head type.

I spend 80 dollars per bra but they last for years. I just wash regular cold water and air dry. The cold wash doesn't hurt elastic its the heat that hurts.

Wow! I feel for you. I am a 32D, and it is VERY hard to find bras. I usually stock up at Dillard's in Florida when I'm on vacation. I can't imagine 30D. I don't think I've ever seen a 30.

Wow! Branecessities is like a Candy Store!! I can't pick just one!!

I still can't decide but at 25% off, I can experiment!

I have the same problem...

finding a great workout bra. I am a 28G. The best place I have found is online at breakoutbras.com. The prices are reasonable. I used to pay over a $100 per bra but through Breakout it's only $60-$70 per bra. If you are a repeat customer you get a further discount AND shipping is free. If you receive your bra(s) and they don't fit properly, send it/them back (on your dime) and they will send you another (again, no shipping).

I've never had a problem with them. Good luck finding something that works for you.

I'm a 30E and I've never found an "off the shelf" bra that works for high impact workouts (including Enell). I love Freya for regular bras but I haven't tried their workout bras. Maybe that's the holy grail.

The only thing so far that works for me is doubling up. I use the cotton Hanes as a first layer (they are like $5 each) and the Champion C9 compression as a second layer because they come in extra small (they are like $15 each I think).

It is kind of exhausting to get these off after, but this squashes me enough that there's almost no movement, something I've never found in a single workout bra at any price.

Gawd geez I tjough D was to big for me. Im 34 D and well frankly want small boobs. But I cannot imagine a 32 DD a 24E! I never even heard of E and G .. Does ur back hurt? How are u only 28 inch chest with an E or G .. Lawdy mercy. I feel terrible for ur back pain! Just curious cause I only have D and feel its way to big and if I ware exercise bras that hold in I feel I cant breathe. So to hold yalls ta tas in is probly a big accomplishment.. Does the bras u use, can u breathe or does it feel binding ? Im wondering cause thats my problem.

No back pain

No, I do not suffer from back pain. The 28 refers to my rib cage measurement, not the measurement around the bust. The difference between the measurement around your bust and the measurement around your rib cage tells you where you sit on the scale of A-J.

A properly fit bra should not make you feel like you can't breathe. This, too, is not a problem for me.

I have a couple of the Freya workout bras and they are great for me.

I just tried a new sports bra, and thought I'd revive this thread. I'd mentioned before that I like lululemon's TaTa Tamer (good for lifting, spinning, anything low impact) and the Moving Comfort Juno (high impact).

I recently tried Athleta's "Glory" bra. Unfortunately, it's about as expensive as the Tamer and the Juno, and I really like it! It's sort of a cross between the two. It's very comfortable even though it's an underwire; it separates, so no uniboob; and it has coverage, so no nipples showing through your shirt (hope it's okay to say that word here!). Even better, it's good for high impact activities. Just thought I'd pass this along, since I know so many of us are continually searching for a good sports bra!

Champion tops fit me well. I just bought one yesterday at TJ Maxx for $9.99. They're lightly padded (some of us really appreciate that) and also there's no see through "issues". I have purchased workout bra tops in the past and needed to put on a second top for cover at the gym. Also, the Champions that I have don't come with the removable pads. I prefer that becase I bought a few sports bras with the removable pads. If you want to keep the pads in, the triangular shaped pads move all over the place during the wash. It's a hassle to get those back into place. Way to much fiddling. The Champions last and wash well. I have a few that I purchased at least 5 yrs ago

I am unfortunately have to buy Enell Bras.

I am only 5'1" tall and a 11O and I asked the doctor for a liftst B or C cup, and he went on too make make double D's. I do not want to recomment breast augmentation for anybody; and I did not want that either. Ladies, be happy with you A,B's and C's

I really like the high impact sports bras from Sam's club that are made by Bally's. They are the most comfortable sport bras I have ever owned and they are very reasonably priced. They have pads inserts that can be removed or left in and a partial hook in the back so that they can be tighter or looser depending on the individual's preference. At $20 for 2 of them they definitely feel like a bargain. I plan on getting some more very soon.

I hear you. Back when I started my fitness journey and was losing a lot of weight, I thought I would get augmentation, but the more I got into fitness, I was thinking: no way do I want anything getting the way of my workouts.

Btw, there is no way any bra would fit over my bootylicious style hips. Even skinny as a rail, that wouldn't happen. My rib cage is big, my hips are bigger.

I do wear the 'high impact' bras from Wal Mart, I don't remember the brand. When they fray I throw them away. (sorry that rhymed.)

Didn't this set off alarm bells in your head? If B or C is what you wanted why didn't you insist on them? Why agree to DD's? I've have plastic surgery and so have a few of my friends, and we all agree it's one of the best decisions we've made. I'm not promoting it, but I think if you want something done and you have a great doctor, you should go for it.
