I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Cardio or STS days? And why you picked one or the other. I am still undecided... And I start my full rotation Tues.

I read recently that doing cardio inhibits the production of growth hormone (which is necessary for muscle growth), and so I'm hesitant to do cardio and non-cardio exercise on the same day.
I'd asked Cathe about this last year, but didn't get a response... so, in an excess of caution, I now never mix cardio and weights/toning. I'd still love to hear if anyone else has thoughts on this. Thanks for asking the question!
I also like to do abs on the same day as cardio. I have been doing this for a couple of years and will continue to do it with STS. I don't know if there are advantages or disadvantages going either way, so to me it's just personal preference.
I'm doing mine (at least for now) based on the schedule Cathe created. So sometimes weight days, sometimes cardio days. I don't have a specific preference. Mine is based more on available time.

Hi Ann, How are you? Glad to hear you are going to be doing STS. Have you started the program yet? I started on Monday and I have a serious case of DOMS in my buns from Disc 3.
Rachel, I have only schedule myself to do the abcircuit workouts 1 day a week because of time. I do them on Saturday's after my cardio. And my driving force is time.
I typically do abs daily. I will follow Cathe's program and do a BRIEF routine on cardio days. My main thing is that I MUST do them right after I warm up, before I continue with the RT or cardio. I often find myself too exhausted to complete my ab work after I've completed my RT or cardio.
