What's your favorite smell?

Honey, make that child send his mother an unlaundered T-shirt! :) You should not be deprived of Essence of Son for so long!!!!

When my sons were younger and started going to sleepaway camp in the summer, I had to keep an unlaundered shirt to bury my face in for the first few days, I missed them so badly. It really made me relate to my puppy dog, since we give him one of my DH's worn shirts to sleep with when he's kenneled while we travel. :)

I guess it's because of Christmas being so recent, but I guess it's mostly the smell of cookies and breads baking with cinnamon. Sugar cookies have a really unique smell.

No one has mentioned bacon. I really don't actually eat bacon that often, but it reminds me of visiting my grandmother. My husband cooks it every other weekend for my daughter and him, but I only have about a half of a piece. (the only bad thing is getting the smell out of the house afterwards!!)

Coffee

During the summer, sun-tan lotion. (I love the smell of the classic Hawaiian Tropic products, and Banana Boat).

I have some of the same:

Coffee brewing AND bacon sizzling (when I'm still in bed and someone else is cooking it). The mixture of the 2 scents makes me happy for some reason!

Gas (not the human kind -- the stuff at the gas station)

Bread baking

Popcorn

Okay...I'm not sure what it's called (maybe copy fluid) but when I was in grade school and the teacher would make copies...the paper always smalled SO good :)

The air before or after a nice spring rain. I like it when you can smell the rain coming before it starts!

I'm with Ruth on this one. I love when Chico, my dog,comes in from the sun. Or when we snuggle under the comforter @ night.

i love that too! Bella the Terrible will go sleep outside for a while and then she comes in smelling of sunshine and grass and i have to hug-squeeze her and bury my face in her fur for at least 30 secs!

on the other hand, wet dog is gross!

New Plastic, the hyacinths growing by the back door. My roses, I love to cut some and bring them in so I can smell them. Brownies baking. Almost any kind of food:9

I too like Vanilla. Also Honeysuckle and Gardenia. But not all together. :)
