What upcoming / new workouts are you excited about?

Yoga is my enduring love and most favorite form of fitness. For weight training, I sometimes use DVDs, but prefer the gym. I have been teaching myself kettlebell traning from youtube clips and the Ironcore tutorial DVD. I dont have access to kettlebells but I use a heavy dumbbell and do pretty well. For cardio, I mainly do kickbox and machine cardio (for which I use Cardio Coach and itrain).

a. At the top of my list is Cathe's Travel workout. I havent yet pre-ordered but I will. I spend about half a month travelling on business lately and I really need some Cathe to keep up with resistance training when I am on the move. I love Cathe's band work from her previous DVDs - especially Gym Styles. I am still undecided on MMA because I have collected so many kick box workouts recently - how many does a gal need - on the other hand this is CATHE! The rest of STS Cardio is stuff I know I wont do.

b. Kelly Coffey Meyer is supposed to be filming in July. The workouts:
- Body weight only (no equipment) sculpting workout
- NYC 2 (Light dumbbell resistance training)
I am excited about the first one. I enjoy NYC (one of the few light dumbbell workouts that I do) and plan to definitely buy NYC2. The presale isnt planned yet. These will all be in Kelly's 30 Minute format which I LOVE for their versatality. You can double them up for a one hour killer routine, or when time is short get an efficient workout in just 30 minutes.

c. I preordered Amy's kettlebell dynamics. I like the clips. This will be my first kettlebell routine that I havent put together myself from scanning the Net. I am looking forward to it very much so that I can finally do a "real" kettlebell workout.

d. Collage has a Coming Soon announcement for "Progressive Yoga" with Rob Glick and Kimberly Spreen. I dont know if either of them are "yoga purists" but I still plan to get it. I like Rob Glick from my old Steppin' days. I am confident his take on yoga will be good.

I dont have Kim Spreen workouts so far, but the Yoga made me curious about her and I found her previous "Amplify Your strength From Within" Yoga-Fusion workout clip at collage. I dont usually like yoga fusion, but this seems nice. I plan to order it for my suitcase as a travel workout. A promising "no equipment" workout is too good an offer to pass up for me.

For some reason Shaun's Insanity clips from Beachbody are not appealing to me. They are no equipment. They work on conditioning not just cardio so in theory, just what I need for my travels. I cant put my finger on my resistance to them yet. Maybe they seem TOO tough.

I'd love to hear what everyone else is excited about.

Shock Cardio (of course!)

Beachbody's Insanity Series (anticipated release date summer 2009) - the YouTube clips bear out how appropriate the title is! Ultra-extreme cardio, here I come! That's my 48th birthday present - Shock Cardio is my 14th wedding anniversary present!

Vee, on a side note - many thanks for all of your posts about yoga. I'm very ignorant of the entire spectrum, but I now have several Shiva Rea dvds in large part because of your reviews! Keep 'em coming!

Well, I'm really looking forward to Cathe's STS Cardio and all the variety it's going to give me for only $100. I figure it will be well worth the wait!

And I got Eoin Finn's Bliss Report email and it said that he shot 6 new routines...I'll have to keep my ear to the ground for that one!!

Those are the two big ones for me!

I am most excited about Cathe's Travel w/o. Vee since you mentioned the Progressive Yoga I will be keeping an eye on that one. I also plan on watching Stephanie Huckabee's QVC infomerical for her new PowerFit series--a band w/o. I liked Stephanie from the Firm so I will check that out.

I'm excited for Insanity. And, this is not a dvd or anything but I found a class called "Goddess Boxing" that I think I am going to take. I've really been mixing it up lately and it's been fantastic.

I'm also excited about Chalene Johnson's upcoming Turbo Fire workouts.:)

Oh I had not heard about this one yet, I'll have to look into this one! Was there a clip for this like they had for Insanity?

Of course I'm dying to get STS shock cardio, at least 5 times since it's been announced I thought how great it would be to have that NOW!

I think Kimberly Spreen has a new kickbox style dvd coming out, but it was not offered at a discount when I saw it, so I'll wait for the release before buying it.

I pre-ordered the Amy kettlebell workout, it was a good price, and I'd like to try to get back a desire to do the kettlebells.

I'm also on the fence with Insanity, it might be too hard core for me, but it has really peaked my interest. I want to read the reviews before I buy this one.

Although not a dvd, I'm also excited to find out about Cathes new fitness products.

No clip yet. Chalene hasn't filmed them yet. They were announced with the CLX add on workouts. Apparently, the Turbo Fire will be similar to her Turbo Kick workouts. They are a more advanced version of Turbo Jam. :)

1. STS Shock Cardio
2. Insanity
3. CIA 2903 - Seasun Zieger's new step workout and core
4. Rob Glick & Kimberly Spreen's Progressive Yoga - will wait for reviews on this one.
5. Rob Glick & Kimberly Spreen's Core Cuts - 6 ab workouts
6. Rob's Amazing Cardio Combos 2
7. Patrick's HWC 3 - have 1 (love it!), still waiting to get 2. If it's as good as the first 2, I'll be getting that too. I didn't do circuit workouts for the longest time, but HWC really makes me want to do them again.

I'm looking forward to Cathe's travel workout, too!! It's been on my Cathe wish list for ages!! I haven't ordered yet because I'd like a little more information on the HIIT and Circuit workouts first, but I'm definitely going to get it.

The only other workout I'm anxious for is Cardio Coach Volume 9.

Oh, I didn't know that Patrick was doing a HWC 3! I have to get it! Woo hoo! The second one is really hard- maybe harder than the first. They are both excellent.

Cathe's new cardio- I am beside myself. I try not to think about it much because I want it in my grubby little hands so much!

I was initially very excited about BB's Insanity but now, I don't know. Does it have enough resistance training for me? I don't know yet. I want to like it- think I'll wait and catch the reviews first.

I am also very excited about KCM's new workouts, especially the body weight resistance only. I like heavy lifting but sometimes these are great for a change of pace. I used to be iffy on KCM based on one circuit workout I had, but once I did her step kickboxing and her 30 Minutes to Fitness workouts, I was sold. :)

Oh and I preordered Amy's 2 new ones so I'm happy about that. Her drop sets one that she is filming this summer seems like one I need too.

Thanks! I like this idea, I really liked Turbo Jam, but am kind of burned out on them now.

I'm excited about STS cardio! :D:D

Next month, BB is giving away Shaun T's Plyometric Cardio Circuit workout(42 minutes) with Tony's May One on One subscription. I'm really looking forward to finding that in my mailbox!

Fitfairy,
If you go to her turbokick.com website she is also coming out with her own at home workouts and you can sign up to be the first to know!! Wonder what they'll be? Looks like maybe turbokick, piyo. VERY EXCITING! Please keep us posted on the insanity workout. I want these but MAN, they look so very hard!

Gifts

I have to laugh at how many of us buy workout stuff for ourselves for our Birthday, Anniversary, Christmas...as if we need an excuse! I know I do it too! I bought STS Cardio for my birthday in August this year and STS for my birthday last year. I only wish I had a few more birthdays every year!

I'm optimistically looking forward to Chalene's Turbo Fire workouts and Cathe's KB and MMA workouts from the STS cardio series.

Other than that, I can for once say there's really nothing that's appealing to me right now (good for my pocketbook!).

1) STS Shock Cardio HIIT and step workouts
2) Stephanie Huckabee's Powerfit (just ordered - for $20 I couldn't resist!)
3) KCM's two workouts she plans to film in July
4) Turbo Fire (this is #4 because I didn't like Turbo Jam (too repetitive and didn't like the background exercisers), but I loved CLX and have a new love for Chalene, so I'm optimistic)

None of Amy's new ones look great (Love her other workouts I have, but the new kickbox looks enough like Kickbox Extreme and I have that, and I haven't even tried kettlebells yet). I don't know about insanity...when they show that clip about how you do long bouts of high intensity and short recoveries, I am just wondering exactly how long the high intensity bouts are. : )

1. Insanity
2. Rev Abs
3. The new Chalene Extreme workouts and Turbo Fire
4. STS cardio

CCV9? For real? Then I'm waiting and looking forward to that too!
