What Step Do You Have?

Cathlete
There is a post in the Ask Cathe section about how long steps last. Made me think about my step and what everybody else is using.

I have a [a href="http://www.sportsunlimitedinc.com/reebok5step.html"]Reebok 5 step[/a] that is adjustable from 6-10 inches and it adjusts each side independently. It's not a riser-type step. I probably picked it up from a discount store. I know I've had it less than 7 years, but can't pinpoint exactly when I bought it.

One thing about my step is it's very compact. Only 21 inches long and 11 inches deep. The Cathe Original Step is 40 inches long and 14 inches deep. Much bigger.

The compactness is nice for the space I have to workout in and my size (short with short legs), but I definitely don't have the room on the step to really stretch out some of the moves (step, skip and scoop moves come to mind).

I don't think I can really have the larger step anyway, but curious as to what others use.

I have the original health club step--the green one with the purple risers. Got it off of Ebay for 99 bucks. Love, love, love it. My Mom has the Reebok step and I like that one too. I just prefer the health club step because of the ease of changing the height by merely taking risers on and off. I've seen yours in stores before too but I gravitated towards the health club step because of it's length and because I'm a dork and wanted the same step that Cathe has!!! :) hehe

I must have got a heck of a deal then, I also have the original step with Cathe's picture on it along with her basic step/cardio and weights dvd for $69.99 from Academy. I bought in back in April. I also bought one for a good friend of mine back in July and it was the same price. They have the best prices imo on free weights and other stuff as well.

I also have the original club step, grey with black risers plus the high step. My club step is 7 years old and since I rarely do more than one step work per week, it is still in great shape.

Annette I am looking for a org. step! I can't find the step at Academy website!:) I got a Step Reebok!

I used to have the shorter Step before we moved. Now that I have my own w/out room I moved up to the long one. It took me awhile to get used to going over the step long ways! I was miscalculating the length. I also finally purchased the high step just a few weeks ago. I had been using Dh's tool box. I like the high step much much better.

I have the Reebok Step and have had it for many years. Last year I caved and bought the Original Health Club Step on amazon for 89.00 including shipping. It is the purple and teal one. Love it and am so glad I went ahead and bought it. I never use the Reebok Step anymore and feel that the club step has a little more "give" to it and just is not as rigid.

I had the Reebok step--I didn't have as much trouble w/its size as I did w/it slipping & sliding all over my hardwoods b/c it didn't have any rubber grips on the bottom.

Now I have the club step, love it. Got it on ebay for about $60, $30 shipping.

I have the Original Health Club step that is teal with purple and pink risers from CherFitness with Keli Roberts. It's still in good condition although the new colours are great!

Me too! I have two of them, bought one in January and another in May (for DH to use as a weight bench). I also got the High Step at Academy Sports for $49 or $59...can't remember. It came with a VHS of Muscle Endurance.

I've got the Original Club Step, teal with purple risers. Then I bought the High Step topper with just 2 black risers so that I have enough risers for High Step stuff as well as for a higher step for weight work.

When I originally bought a step I got the shorter step, but the DVD that came with it was loose in the package and all scratched up, so I took it back to the store (Modell's) to exchange it, and decided to go ahead and spend a bit more for the bigger step. I'm glad I did as almost all of Cathe's step workouts use that step.

I have the original club step teal-ish with pink-ish risers. I got it at Target about 12 years ago and it still is in great condition. I stopped doing step for a few years, so that might be why. I think it was under $100. Definitely worth it!

I have the original club step (teal with purple and fushia risers) that I purchased in Dec of either 1990 or 91 for a Saturday morning step class (Jazzercise!). No problems with it yet and I use it about 1-3x/week. Definitely a good long-term purchase. I remember being a little afraid that step would just be a passing phase, and it was for my Jazzercise class, but with home videos it's still going strong.

Hey Belinda,

For some reason Academy doesn't put it on the website, I've noticed that on several things when I went online, luckily there is a store about 3 miles from where I live and it was on the top shelf where 2 or 3 other type steps were. I also picked up the high step with Cathe's dvd, high step circuit, for $46.30. I was quite surprised so grabbed it at the same time. It pays to actually go to the store if you have one nearby.

I, too, have the Original Club Step. I purchased it so long ago I don't remember how much it cost. It was the best piece of exercise equipment I have ever bought. I use it all the time as a step and a weight bench.

Exactly what I have. I got mine when my son was a baby, and he is 15 now. The high step I got when Cathe first came out with it, maybe 5 years ago? can't remember. I think I have 4 of the black risers for that, so I have a total of 8 risers.

Years ago, the club step that looks like mine (which says Step Co on it) was made by Reebok. My YMCA's steps like mine all say Reebok on them. They also have the black Reebok ones, but I don't like those as much.

I saw the 5 Step Reebok at a garage sale but I passed because I have:
The Step with the purple risers.
The Transfirmer.
The Fanny Lifter.
The Fanny Lifter wooden box.

So I think I have enough steps that is not including the steps my house!
