WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO DROP A SIZE?

I guess that must be the answer for the disconnect. I have well devoloped muscle in my arms and back. So, whereas I didn't used to carry any weight on top and used to be more of a pear shape, with heavy lifting for upper body, I have transformed to an hourglass. It still urks me to see a weight in the 120's on the scale, but I have to remember that I'm older and fit in the same size pants that I did ten years ago.

I never wore a size smaller than 4 so I'm happy with 4's and 6's. . I am having liposuction in a couple of days to get rid of some of the fat that's hiding my muscle.

If you feel fine now and you look good to yourself, I recommend that you go shopping and try out all different kind of clothing brands. I bet you'll be a 4 or 2 in one of the more expensive brands.

Personnally, sizes and brand names don't matter to me. Why sweat the small stuff? Life is too short!

I know this is an old thread, but I just found it on a search about abs. I love it. It's inspiring, because it shows such a diversity of women. It makes me feel good about myself.

I've been letting myself be bothered by my waist size (size 8 jeans), even though I know I'm very fit. I used to be a 6, and honestly, I think the increase in size is due to more developed abs. Maybe I won't let it bug me now.

I also love the weight/bmi website that's included near the bottom of the thread! :)

I agree completely.

And IMO, the easiest way to go down a size is to buy a different brand. I'm sure you can find some 4's that fit the same as your 6's!

I hate it when an old thread comes up, and I think it's a new one, so I respond. And this is almost a year old!!

I think that you want to lose fat and slim down, that does not mean losing weight, it can also mean adding muscle, I was 115 pounds and wore a size 6-8, now I weigh in the 123+/- and I wear a size two, I added more muscle to my body and decreased body fat, so don't worry about the scale too much, is the inches tht matter. I am trying to lose a few more inches, but not worry about the weight.

What I did to decreased my size was, strenght training, first I added muscle, then I slim down, it is hard to achieve both goals at the same time. I am getting leaner now by doing endurance workouts to mantain the muscle and added cardio and a supper clean diet to lose fat. Diet is 80% of the equation, you overtrain and still not see any results, balance the exercise and the diet.

Hi there! You know, I'm not totally sure how to drop a dress size quickly. But I have heard that if you stop drinking carbonated sodas the absense of the bloating it causes will shrink your stomach an inch. Or, as I have heard to do the high protein very low carbohydrate for one or two weeks and that helps to lose those extra 5 lbs quickly. I hope I helped!
