What do you think of Micheal Jackson?

If you think hanging a kid over the balcony is dangerous.... What about when I see parents let their kids get into anything & dig into the drawers that hold the needles. Not bad? Ok What about the parents that let their kids stick their arm down any out-of-the-way hole. HELLO!!!!!!

Can you say AIDS, Hepatitis B etc,. from just a needle stick. You dumbAss! Surely you can control your kid long enough to keep him out of the Sharp's container? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

When I see parent's stupidity, Michael Jackson doesn't even come close.

Actually, they were all at his anniversary special on VHS the last 2 weekends. So, you're theory kind of flops.

JMO, I'm definitely not a big MJ fan, Ilove his music but that's where it ends. I just hope the guy gets a fair trial & we all don't fall for what the MEDIA puts out.

Nobody really knows, but my guess is that he's just so weird and so different from any other human, that people naturally believe he is a child molester, but I think there is a good chance that he's not. I've heard that child molesters can't control themselves and if he really were, that there would be a lot more incidents of it that he wouldn't be able to hide, being such a scrutinized public figure. I've heard experts say that the accusations are so few and so far between, that it points to innocence on his part.

I think it's very possible that the parents of these kids he hangs out with are just taking advantage of the fact that he's such a maladjusted weirdo who never grew up, and that he's one of the wealthiest people on earth. He's such a natural target, and human nature being what it is, it would be weird if there weren't a few attempts at extortion. But there have only really been two, right? If he really were a child molester, I think there would be an awful lot more. That said, I also think he's probably an awful parent, and I wish he would stop having kids!

He clearly is troubled! You just have to look at him. I don't know all the facts but if I had kids and I had already heard the rumors about abuse, I would not send my kids to be alone with him. I think something should happen to those parents for knowingly putting their kids in harm's way. Hopefully, what really happened will be uncovered. ICK!

The guy is a total freak! I was a fan of his when I was in 8th grade but I'm not anymore. I don't feel a bit sorry for him. I don't care what troubles he's had when he was a child. That is no excuse for molesting or being a freak. If they find him guilty of violating an innocent child, he should pay the consequences, like any normal molesting Joe should. I was molested by several people when I was young...unfortunately, they are not imprisoned; except for one and thankfully, he is dead.

Being weird or different doesn't make one a child molester, but sleeping with young children in the same bed is questionable to say the least. Shirley, I am so sorry that you had to go through that horror. And I agree with you, just bc a person had a messed up childhood or was abused doesn't necessarily mean they will grow up to abuse. To blame these accusations on the fact that he is weird or had a messed up childhood is to say he doesn't have to accept total responsibility for what he has done.

I've lurked on this too long...

Ok so about 10 years (or so) ago, MJ is accused of having an evil kink and is exonerated or not enough witnesses/evidence to have a trial. 2 things come to mind

1 Having had that kind of scrutiny and negative attention wouldn't you distance yourself from the accusation. Would you keep doing the same thing over and over again knowing that if it were as innocent as you say it would be misinterpreted?

2 A 46 yr old man calls up your house and asks if your 10 yo can come over and play? Would you let him?

The other nonsense is that MJ is being treated differently. Yes he is getting treated differently. If he wasn't a "star" his butt would have been in jail from day one. He'd have to be in solitary as the general population in most prisons would kill a "skinner" (affectionate name for molesters) in a heartbeat.

I'm not forgiving at all to child molesters/abusers. To be a youth mentor, teacher, bus driver, little league coach, scout leader etc etc you need background checks, fingerprints etc. If this sick bastard is guilty I hope he rots in prison. We can get him a cell block with all those ex priests.

Whew. Sorry for ranting. Other than guilty parties I hope not to have offended anyone.
Dave

Dave, I have been sexually abused as kid. I'm the one that should be raging!!!! Actually, with MJ, I have no feelings of fear. Weird, right? If he's guilty, then let him rot, but just because he's strange, are we going to convict him?

Now OJ Simpson? The bastard is still walking free!

Marla

I find the "whole thing" totally suss

One part of me thinks hes guilty because its a "molesting" case and I jump on the band wagon for all victims of child abuse, and the other part of me just thinks hes a very "misguided" man, who over the years has had some very bad advice given to him on how he should handle things.

I cant automaticaly asume hes quilty because he paid of the boy, because alot of people pay of blackmailers (which that boy was!) so I dont think that incedent makes him a molester............but it could have been handled differently by ALL the people who work for Micheal..........their his advisers for God Sake!

The parents of these boys make me angrey too...............what IS up with allowing your child spending the night with a growen man?...........if its wasnt Micheal Jackson, they would never have allowed it. Maybe this was a "set up" from day one on their part

At the end of the day, I hope they have enough information, and correct information to charge him on the molesting if he's quilty........ NOT charge him because he's not the "norm" we think people in sociaty should act and behave, and therefore it must be TRUE

Im sure some people will find it very hard to seperate the two issues

Not to offend anyone here, or defend Micheal, but I really hope he gets a fair trail that EVERYONE in this situation is intitled to get, celebraty or not!

Smoogy,

Though I didn't have any contact I served as an altar boy at a parish that Father Geoghan served. Maybe I wasn't his type.

I agree on your thoughts on OJ. The criminal case was blown from day one. I'm suprised it was thrown out for search prior to warrant.

Don't be an A-hole! Actually, I sleep with my daughter in my very bed because she is too far away from me the rest of the week. Does that make me a pedophile?!!!!!! Unfortunately she's a product of divorce but, I still miss her so much, Really you guys. Get real.

Marie,

Please!!! Don't be so shallow. His music endeavors have nothing to do with what he's dealing with now.

Marla

>Don't be an A-hole!

Are comments like this really necessary? It's both rude and uncalled for, IMO. As is calling someone "shallow." :(

It is a real shame about Michael, you can surely see how talented he was, and yes after Thriller he went down hill. I think I stopped liking him when he went totally white and his face totally changed to look like a woman.
What beefs me is everyone is feeling sorry for his past and blaming that for what he might have done to those boys. There comes a point in someones life when you have to deal with what happened in ones past. Also he is well old enough to know what is right and what is wrong and he must be dealt with properly and he needs to stop saying it is his dads fault, he is hiding behind his past. He is a grown man that makes his own decisions.

I agree Lesliemarie.
I'm sure any of us could blame our problems on our past; but come on! We are adults and accountable for our own actions.
MJ needs to grow up.
