What do you love about your body?

So if you're anything like me, you look in the mirror and point out all of your flaws and dwell on the parts of your body that are less than ideal. I always focus on my hips and thighs...sigh... Why do we do this when there's so much more to our bodies than our problem areas?!

On a quest to become more positive about my body I'm focusing on the parts I love and every time I start to say something negative about my body I'm going to turn it around with a positive thought.

I love my strong, toned arms and back, my tight abs, my curvacious booty, my blue eyes, my smile and my heart. :)

What do you love about your body?

Hmmm, the only attribute that I would even come close to calling perfect are my legs. I have always liked how easily and quickly they become defined and lean! Everything else - needs work and lots of it!

My butt!! My collarbone and wrist bones (I was soooo happy when they 1st showed up). My arms. My heart and my lungs - boy do those babies WORK hard for me.

I have a hard time complimenting myself but DH has commented a lot lately on my shoulders and whole upper body being tighter. Love him!:D

I like what Nan said about her heart & lungs. I think about what my body DOES for me. I can chase after 3 kids all day on little sleep and still have energy to bang out workouts at 9pm.

And I can birth babies by just thinking about it! :D:D

We are the hardest critics on ourselves! So refreshing that we can remember the positives. Good thread idea Sandra!

HAIR: Though it is a lot of work to clean and dry and I don't have a lot of time to style it, I love my thick, brown hair. I only have a few grays that can barely be seen, so I'm going to hold off on dye for as long as possible. LOL!

LEGS: My DH says they are what got him to notice me. They are my favorite body part to work.

EYES: They are crazy blue. I don't kow how to describe it. People say my eyes are the most striking feature about me.

That it works! It goes up and down stairs with no problem, does squats, lifts heavy items and is healthy. My clothes fit and I am basically the same size I was in HS. It is also still flexible. Can you tell I am older? That is what years of working out has done. A big thank you to the original Firms and to Cathe.

i really love my shoulders. i used to want muscular big arms(but still feminine) but watching a lot of UFC type fighting and see not even the men are bulky so i learned to love my smaller but still define cuts in my arms esp. my shoulders.

i like my calves too. from the waistline down i am a little pudgy and soft but my calves are also define and have a great shape. i have to do little work for keep their shape which is always nice when you in the gym LOL.

my fingers-b/c they are long and thin and move quickly for typing. makes being on various boards and groups easier LOL. also makes my plain wedding band look really nice. i can't place it but my ring fits really well on my finger. it was my dh's grandmother's but its like it was made just for my finger.

lips-although i don't always notice, during photo ops i notice they are a little pouty and full and naturally darker pink. a little gloss is all i need b/c they just have a naturally nice color.

eyes-i more like the color i can say my almond perfect shape really suits me. i don't always like my features but i can't picture my eyes being any different.

okay that took a lot of though but pretty cathartic. been focusing on my pudgy middle and less then define legs lately that i wasn't feeling to well on myself. thanks

I like my strong lungs, my very long legs(6ft tall) and the boobs I finally got after giving birth to my 2 babies

I love my back, my arms and shoulders, my blue eyes, and my curly hair:) DH seems to appreciate my butt and my long neck;) I also love that my body was able to carry 3 babies, have relatively easy births, and now helps me keep up with them!

I love these threads-helps remind us of all the great stuff our bodies are capable of!

Thanks Sandra:)

I was not happy with the number on the scale this morning so I needed this thread!

I love the curve in my biceps and the definition in my shoulders. I love how long my legs are and that I have nice lean calves. DH likes the booty, which is much rounder from all of those squats. ;)

My curly hair - needs no work at all!

My shape - I go in and out in the right places.

My flat stomach - lot of hard work went into that!

Great to see so many others being positive about themselves :D.

The thing that I love the most about me is that I love myself, have a good work ethic, know that I have value even if I am not doing what others are and am generally happy no matter what's going on in my life. I have discovered just recently how much of a gift that truly is! :) That counts as my body, right?

Well, it's still the same response as my previous thread- my collarbone. I like my eyes too, but they are behind glasses and I hardly ever notice them, really.

Today - nothing.

I've had crazy insomnia all week, I'm exhausted and achey, I can't get on track and get consistent workouts going for more than a few days at a time and when I do they seem to just suck (you would think I haven't worked out in years I feel so deconditioned) and I ate too much at lunch (potato salad!).

Oh, and my biceps are still sore on Wednesday from the Pyramids UB I did on Saturday!

:-(
