What do you drink when you're working out?

Do you drink water, or do you drink a sports drink? I drink water, but I don't typically work out for longer than an hour. Occassionally it will be up to an hour and a half. Since it's so cold in the house now (usually around 60 degrees), I don't sweat much. So I'm thinking water is fine.

Any opinions or insight?

I usually drink water if I'm working out less than an hour. The other day I felt really dehydrated for some reason (couldn't be because I was out with friends the night before!!) so I had water and some gatorade with me while I worked out. I sipped on both throughout the workout and then stayed with the water.

I usually drink Propel or very watered down Crystal Light lemonade. A little bit of flavor in the water seems to encourage me to drink a lot more of it.

I drink a sports drink like propel, etc., sometimes ice tea made with splenda when I workout. Yesterday I was bad and drank diet pepsi...hey, it was a busy day as I just got back in town, unpacked and then after a long drive dove into aerobics...not too bad, huh?

Cold water with a squeeze of lemon juice in it.

My mouth starts to feel REALLY gross during a workout, and if the sligtest thing annoys me during exercise, I cant give my 100%

I always drink water when I workout. I also run and if its more than 7 or 8 miles I will drink Accelerade which is a sports drink with a small amount of Protein added to the Carbs.....:)...Carole

I drink about 32 oz of water with an Emergen-C packet in it. I like the Super Orange the best. It really seems to help with my energy, and preparing the drink is part of the ritual.

Water, sometimes with a little bit of lemon juice, or very diluted Crystal Light. And for some reason, room-temperature beverages are easier for me to drink when working out than ice-cold ones.

I have to have my drinks room temp. too! If I drink something cold when I work out, it gives me a splitting headache.

I usually try to drink at least 32oz of water during and right after - and then usually another 32oz of water with some crystal light mixed in to get a total of 64oz.

I need mine to be room temp. as well. I keep a batch of water bottles on my fridge so they can "warm up" and up there is out of reach of two toddlers who LOVE to fling water around!

I always bring a bottle of H2O with me when I workout....and I usually drink about 16 oz during my workouts, and then another 8 oz when I am finished.

Whiskey!

(Actually either H2O, or H20 with some "Emergen-C" in it. The ingredients list of most sports drinks is a real turn-off for me.
