Okay, I'm actually going to try the January rotation starting on Monday. I wasn't going to do it because I would need to break up the time and do one of the workouts in the morning and one in the afternoon which initially was not going to work for me. My husband, unless something changes, will be working in New Orleans for 3 months beginning Monday. So I have the living room all to myself which means I can workout any time I want. So I'm going to give it a shot.

I'm like Michelle--I didn't even know what a rotation was until I started coming to these forums.

I follow a basic split that I've been doing for about 17 years, with some modifications over time due to scheduling, focusing on one body part or another, etc. etc. I can't even imagine trying to change my routine every month--it took me years to get into a schedule I could stick with.

That's exactly what I do too! Although I did do Cathe's August Bootcamp rotation.

I make my own rotations for one week at a time. I admit, my goals switch quite often from weight loss to building muscle as I'm so indecisive. Anyway, I'm not really strict on my rotations, though. If I have something planned and I wake up feeling like doing something else, I'll do what I feel but I usually stick to what's planned.

I use the following basic formula:

5-6 cardio
workout each body part 2x per week

1 circuit
1 interval

That's basically it. I pick an choose what I want to do on a particular day to fit my mood. I use Cathe, and I go to the gym.
