I just had to post again under this thread instead of starting a new one.
I finished "A Moveable Feast" by Hemingway today-in about 6 hours, I got stuck at the airport. It was so good I could not put it down, seriously.
I am so excited about this, in high school we were not required to read any of these books or in college actually. I have always wanted to read some of Hemingway and Fitzgerald's books, but was always sort of intimidated or something.
Anyway, this book made me fall in love.
He tells the story of his friendship with Scott Fitzgerald and Ezra Pound (I still do not get his poems I am sorry to report) and I felt so transported to the streets of Paris, the cafe's and loved the way he described all the food and wine he enjoyed...
So, Pippa, I think I will order the rest of his work, plus I just ordered a bunch of Fitzgeralds too.
Thank you for letting me go on about this. It just feels so good when a book "fills you up" and leaves you wanting more.:7
