What are you all thankful for?

Ok, I'm a week early but considering a lot of people will probably be on vacation next week, I'm asking!! ;)

What is everyone thankful for that you may have taken for granted in the past?

I'm thankful for a whole bunch of thing this year that I admittedly took for granted before poop hit the fan this year and include:

  • My family and my dad's recovery from Cancer this year: He caught it early and (knock on wood) is ok right now; the operation got all of it. It was a scary time for all of us and I hope we never have to go through anything like it again. Also, my family is so great; my parents allow my brother & I to still live at home due to the recent economic downturn rent-free! They are the best.

  • My job. Though I might complain...a lot...I am lucky to have one that offers benefits and a somewhat decent paycheck. I'm also extremely lucky to be able to have a part time job as well, being that those are very hard to come by right now.

  • My boyfriend: He is extremely supportive in everything I do, constantly tells me how much he loves me and how beautiful I am, inside as well as out. I'm so happy to have him in my life.
Now I feel all warm & fuzzy inside. :)

I was just thinking about this topic today, I'm so very thankful for:

Our health, my husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer in July, 2005 when he was 48. It has been over 4 years and he's cancer free and I thank God everyday for this. So also on the topic of health, his great oncologist at the University of Michgan Cancer Center.

My family, my husband and 2 daughters who can be trying at times.

Employment, as much as we grip about it we are so very thankful for it!!

Also, for all of the other things in life that I take for granted.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!

I am also very thankful for my health. I was diagnosed with stage 3C fallopian tube cancer in Feb. 09. After surgery and 6 rounds of chemo, I am now in remission. Praise the Lord! I am very thankful for the wonderful team of doctors and nurses at MD Anderson, my family and precious friends, whom I call my "Angel Posse".
And of course, very thankful for Cathe and being able to still exercise with her. :)

I'm thankful for my wonderful boyfriend. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me and I would be lost without him.
I'm also thankful for my employment (never thought I'd say that!) and I still have a job to go to.
And of course, I'm thankful for Cathe and the awesome workouts she makes and making me feel like an 'athlete' of sorts!!:)

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We did this yesterday with the daycare kids, some of the replies were so sweet!!!
As for me:

~ God & his many blessings & wonders
~ My Family (immediate & far away)
~ A warm home & food to eat
~Good jobs for myself & DH
~ & of course the ability to get up at 4:45am & work my body with Cathe! :D

I'm glad that I got to tell my mom how much I love her before she passed away a few weeks ago. She was an awesome lady and I will always miss her.

(((Beavs)))

I'm thankful that I have a job and a home, an amazing husband and a very happy 20 year-old marriage that seems to get better with each passing year, and lots of dear love-me-no-matter-what friends, some of whom I've made right here on this forum. (And I'm VERY thankful that I was able to spend a great week in NYC this year with four of those lovely Cathe-pals!;))

I'm thankful that my dad fully recovered from his throat cancer and that all his recent tests have been clean. He had me a little worried there for a while.

I'm also thankful just in general for parents who love me no matter what and have my back no matter what.

And our course I'm thankful for my DH and our health.

Beavs - I have been off the boards for quite some time. I am so sorry to hear about your loss! Keep the faith that you will see her again. Take time to rest and collect . . .

Thankful for . .

God who watches over us.

My DH - a all and all out good guy who keeps God and family first.

That we can still at this time keep a roof over our head.

That we are blessed with a son who has brains, athleticism, sense of commitment and who knows his God.

Our Beagle who even on my darkest days makes me feel good.

A small safe town to live in and a public school that still lets the kids pray on the football field.

My girlfriends from high school that are still my best buddies and who without I probably would not be here - they kept me safe and on the right road. It's been 35 years of tears, laughter and fun!

My wonderful hubby and son, who is just a good kid.

My job - pain in the butt at times, but I am employed and enjoy the people I work with

Cathe and these boards, without her, I'd probably suffering from some major health probs, glad I found her when I did and got things straightened out food/exercise/health wise

My doggie Vladimir, who always makes me smile, and my kitty Merlin, even though he tries to trip me down the stairs, and always wants to drop litter box bombs while I'm downstairs trying to exercise

My car, Priscilla Bluebell, she takes me where I need to go

I am forever grateful for my parents. I couldn't ask for anybody more supportive and loving.

Finishing up school! This final semester has been so trying and for some reason, I have been dealt some of the most horrific people. But as of this week, the worst is over!!

The wonderful people who've recently come into my life that are helping me get my health and skin under control. After years of trying, I think I finally found a team of people actually willing to put in the work to find out what's wrong with me and how we're going to fix it.

I am thankful for the gift/blessing of being able take care of my mom and the time we are getting to spend together.

For family that lives in the area (uncle, aunt and a bunch of cousins)

That I have a job and the bills are paid.

For my cat Azriel, who is my baby.

I am thankful for my family - what in the world would I do without them.

I am thankful for my wonderful husband - love him so much.

For my wonderful puppy girls - who light up our lives everyday

For my job and the good people who work there.

Thank you God for Gavin, Kayleigh and Kenny the shining light of my life! For a husband who is willing and able to go to a job that is extremely physically taxing and mentally stressful to provide for us. For my health which has been in question this past year. And for these forums as an outlet.

Happy Thanksgiving Friends.
