I am so excited for all 3 DVDs but the one I am most looking forward to is the advanced DVD. Just wondering what you ended up doing for the 30 minutes of extra footage? Thanks!

I believe she put upper body like in boot camp.It wasn't listed before I don't think. But is in description now.originally it was cardio and lower but now it's cardio upper and lower.I might be wrong.

She decided to put the upper body circuits within the highstep workout itself. Perhaps the extra 30 minutes consists of upper body too, but I do know that the workout itself contains upper body.

RE: What are the 30 min. on the Advanced DVD comprised ...

I thought it was a 60 minute workout. I tried to calculate it:
5 circuts
warm up (guess) = 5 minutes
2 minutes cardio = 10 total min.
2 minutes legs = 10
4 upper (guess) = 25
cool down (guess)= 5 minutes

This equals about 55 minutes. Is there going to be more added? That would be great!

RE: What are the 30 min. on the Advanced DVD comprised ...

Sorry I keep jumping in on my own thread! Cathe asked up front for suggestions regarding 30 min. of extra footage for this DVD that would be used in premixes. I was/am hoping for intervals or some kickboxing, but Cathe has yet to let me down, so I know I'll be happy!

I'll help bump your thread. :) The new clip looks fantastic. After viewing it, I remembered that Cathe was asking for suggestions, and I noted that there wasn't anything listed on the breakdown of this DVD.

Cathe, will there be 30 minutes of extra footage in this workout? Thank you......................

Hi Jillybean and others! I have held off answering this until editing was complete and I was sure of my decision.

First let me say that I am very thankful and appreciative of the time everyone took to supply us with feedback regarding workouts that they would like to see as a bonus. But in the end, and after filming and viewing the footage, I have decided to hold off on including it in the workout. It had a different energy and seemed to call for its own workout rather than be a bonus to the High Step workout.

There is some good news, but let me explain things first: When I first asked for suggestions regarding a bonus workout a couple of months ago, I was looking for ideas to compliment the existing high step circuit as add on options. But instead, to my surprise, I received a lot more requests for Imax 2 type and kickbox type workouts. So I decided to go in that direction and choreographed a 30 minute segment of cardio blasts ranging in style from athletic, to Imax2-ish, to kickbox-ish. My honest feeling was that after filming this segment, it was just so much fun and had such great energy that when the 30 minutes were up, we wanted MORE...not a cooldown. So I decided right then and there, that this workout should truly be expanded upon and made it's own intense workout rather than a "thrown" in as a condensed bonus. And after viewing it in the edit room, my thoughts were confirmed.

So while there will be no bonus on this DVD, you can look forward to a future DVD that will contain the blasts mentioned above plus more. I have saved all of your very valuable suggestions to help me while grooming this workout too.

I expect that you are now somewhat disappointed, and that is very understandable, but at least you know that the workout that you requested is well into the making:)

With regards to the High Step Advanced workout, I do think you will be very pleased with it. The blasts are really fun and the upper and lower body work is very slow and controlled, allowing you to go even heavier if you want (ie: we do bicep curls to an "up 2 down 6 count" tempo, and then again to an "up 6 down 2 count tempo".

Enjoy!

Hi Cathe !

I am really glad to see that a new fun and intense workout will come ! Do you intend to make a new series of workouts with this one ? (I hope so ;-))

Man, I am so bummed. However, I trust your decision Cathe. Thanks for taking all of our thoughts and ideas into consideration. Can't wait to see what this workout will look like once it's available.

RE: What are the 30 min. on the Advanced DVD comprised ...

I'm not really disappointed at all. I'm very excited that you're thinking of future workouts already.

Thanks Cathe,

I only ordered the advanced dvd, but now thinking I should get the other 2, but not sure.

Sounds like a great decision. I'm looking forward to the new (after this "new"!) batch of workouts.

I just looked back at the detailed breakdown of the advanced workout, and it looks like so much fun! Does doing it in ones head count as exercise?

Can't wait for these new (currently new) DVD's to come out.

Hi Cathe! Thanks so much for the detailed explanation of your decision, which sounds to me like it was well thought out and smart. I'm not disappointed at all -- I've got so much else to look forward to getting right now! The video clip from HSA looks wonderful even in rough cut, and from your write-up of the first two DVD's I can see that we'll have plenty to challenge us and to enjoy with just a few modifications. So I feel VERY satisfied for now, and it will be fun to anticipate that future DVD with the bonus footage "expanded version."

Will you actually use the filmed footage, or will you re-film it entirely, do you think? Just curious. :)

Anyhow, GREAT job, as usual, on the new DVD's! Hope you'll soon be able to enjoy a few days of R&R with all those cute boys around your house!

Cathe you are too cool. I'm ready for another pre-order :) . This workout sounds awesome. Will this be a set or only one this time:9 . Whatever you decide I think it will be GREAT as always. Helen

No disappointment from me either. I trust your judgement completely and I am looking forward to the "full-fledged" workout in the future (hopefully in the near future;-)

The slow and controlled weight segments sound fabulous!!

I just upgrarded and ordered all three of her new dvd's, doesn't get any better than getting new cathe tapes, I am excited. woo---hooo.

Although I look forward to the new DVD, I must admit I am disappointed about the lost add on section. Oh well, life does go on. Thanks for the update... I was waiting for a response.
