What a neat surprise on QVC this morning

RE: Francine!

The pix helped bigtime! Cameraman did a perfect job! Give him a big hug! Back to your hair...leave it just as is! Perfect color for you & just a hint of highlights looks sooo healthy and radiant on you. JMHO! As far as the time you have taken for us...I know I'm not the only one who feels this way here Francine. I am just amazed at your wealth of knowledge and how much you unselfishly share with us all. A BIG Thanks to you!

Note that the seller put at the bottom:

(This unit is for pick up only! In New york City!!! MANHATTAN. This unit is heavy and it would not be cost effective to ship--that is why its only available for pick up only!)

Sooo, if there is anyone from Manhattan, this would be a great deal!

Punky!

I see you DID mention that the unit had to be picked up by the buyer. Sorry for repeating that!

Comparison BTS-TTT

Liz sent me the video(thanks Liz) and I just got done previewing the whole thing, The only thing that it doesn't have that the TTT has is an adjustable lever! (atleast there was no mention of it or adjusting happening-and it's not visible on the video! Which is no biggie, since the upper body exercises can be done kneeling and standing! I like how it had a chain with it for upright rows and other exercises. I'm gonna try to mimick some of these exercsise and see if they are effective on the TTT! (just for more comparison reasons)
Now that I seen it , those wanting a weight plated workout, you are definitely gonna be more satisfied with this, it's VERY similiar to the TTT but MORE EFFECTIVE if you want more than toning!Another Plus, I also like how the cam placements go all the way around with 30 holes for the pins! It's the TTT jacked up version ;-)
Here's the exercises that were demonstrated on BTS:
Donkey kicks(Butt Blaster)
Seated Leg Press
Standing outter thigh
Standing inner thigh
Standing isolation hamcurl
Standing Rear Leg Kick
Standing Hip Flexion
Standing calves
Lying ab curl(legs over bar)
Standing side bends(hold bar and lean)
Kneeling one arm bicep curls
Tricep press
Kneeling front shoulder raise
Kneeling lateral raise
Seated decline bench press (plus closegrip)
Kneeling left arm crossover then right)
Standing w/chain shoulder shrug
Standing with Chain Upright row
Seated Backrows w/ chain

I updated the pics for the TTT if ya missed them, at www.picturetrail.com/francigirl
Click on top ten trainer to see most of the exercises you can do on it! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Think we covered everything on these two now}(

RE: Comparison BTS-TTT

Wow, thanks Francine! You always go the extra mile for us. I, too, like the fact that you use the weight plates with this machine. Thanks to Liz also for sending the vid to you. This machine seems to be a lil' bit better quality too but I'm not sure. Now, I'm on a mission! THANKS-A-Million!!!

RE: Comparison BTS-TTT

Thanks from me, too. I already cancelled my waitlist on the TTT, but I haven't ordered the BTS yet. That's where I'm leaning though. Have to get the weight plates for it, too, since I don't have them. Did you suggest to Brenda Dygraf that she could improve the TTT by adding the weight plate option? Just a thought. Anyway, I totally appreciate all the "Consumer Reporting" you've done for us. I'll be watching for future posts and heads-up from you.

RE: Comparison BTS-TTT

Thanks so much Francine!!

Just when there could not be another question.....I still have one. How do the machines compare size wise to each other? I have limited space and the TTT looks as if it could be used near a wall, or pulled away from your wall easily. The BTS looks a bit larger, and I am not sure how heavy (especially if weight plates are left on it) or difficult it is to move about. Did it seem simple enough to load and unload the plates? I would just use the plates I already have for my barbell, so there would be plenty of changing going on.

If it is easy enough to move around, that would be fine, but it would go right inside my bedroom door, in an already cramped room. Not that I am eager for kids to grow up, but I do know what will be happening in my sons' room when they do finally make that leap!:) :( happy/sad=bittersweet

RE: I heard you Francine!

I ordered Brenda Dygraf's open palm 1 lb. weighted gloves and tried them for the first time on KPC this noon--love them. Just wish she also offered a 2 lb. pair. One pound was good for today, but it didn't totally fry me so I'd like to get a 2 lb. set with the weights on the top. Good purchase.

RE: Comparison BTS-TTT

Changing or moving the plates is super easy, but forget about being able to move it around! Also, I think it's about 5 feet long. Definately a space hog, but it such a unique machine I managed to find a spot for it anyway!

Best,
Liz

RE: Comparison BTS-TTT

I am also on a mission, Debbie. I was so excited about the first machine, now the BTS sounds great. But perhaps, too bulky for my workout room.

Francine, can you put a lot of resistance on the TT machine??-- I am thinking, if I can get a good workout without needing the extra weight plates--- that would be super!!

Any advice, should I go on the Wait List or wait until Brenda is on the show to promote it?? When do you get the best prices?? After the holidays _ money is tight and also my Husband will not understand why I need MORE fitness equipment!!! YIKES!!! But you gals have me so excited about this. And my lower body needs something!!!! :)

Thank you ALL for such wonderful insights and the info. that flows thru this site is so great!!!

Linda ;-)

Measurements

Dani53,
TTT: Easily folds for storage
Measures approximately 52-1/2"H x 40-1/2"L x 23"W.

BTS
Measures 45" L x 48" W x 82" H
Also, It takes the standard plates not the Olympic. There is an adapter that most sporting goods stores sell to accommodate Olympic plates though.

Linda,
Mine came with a pair of 5,10, and 15 lbs resistance bands! I also put a 10lb plate on mine for a slight increase in resistance when I use my 5's(it's not meant for that but I wore my 5's out ;-) and this works well for me!
As for you purchase and which way to go, do what is sensibly affordable for you! The TTT has made it's debut and I'm sure it's gonna stick around for a while(atleast this year ;-) I recommend if this is what you are gonna buy, get it when Brenda is on, the price is usually lower by 10 -$20 plus sometimes they do free shipping and flex pays! Plus you get a 30 day warranty to test spin -just minus shipping!
If you want BTS check into the above links, big fitness has a finance plan , you can ask Yukon if they do and http://bestbuyfitness.webdirectbrands.com/product.asp?intProdID=262
beat other online prices by 10 %!
Good luck on your decision and other questions feel free to ask!

Dsmiller, yes I did email Brenda some suggestions that would improve the TTT(the weight plate option (longer pole to add weight with the bands)and the all around cam holes ;-) Love those features!

RE: Measurements

Francine,

I just have to let you know how very appreciative I am of all your input and the time you spend sharing your wisdom and insights with us. You are really so knowledgeable in the fitness world -- I am grateful for your help with these bun machines.
The BTS looks great - but pretty massive !!! Because of the size, the TTT seems more practical. Decisions, Decisions.............

Many thanks!!! I hope to catch Brenda when she's on TV.

Linda :)
