Morning Gang-
Right off the bat I just gotta say 2 things...
1: Cheryl & Sandra THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR kicking me in the pants yesterday! I am back in workout mode and owe it to you 2!
2: AMY: ROFLMAO..... suction hose are what I visualize when you talk about your compression stockings.... I almost lost a mouth full of coffee when I read your response on yesterdays board!

Anyway... Got 7.5 hours of sleep and am ready to tackle the day.
Core Synergistics & will add on Power Circuit Cardio Abs/Planks
My P90X fist recovery week round is quickly coming to an end and will do my 4 week measurements on Thursday morning. I almost dont want to because I keep thinking I look buffer, my clothes are loser, my thighs and legs and trimer..... cant we just leave it at that? LOL

Buffy: Enjoy the cardio aspect of recovery week... It will be a break for you as you've neen adding on all along!

Have a great morning to all out there in CatheLand.... bbl:7

Good morning everyone!

Traci: Good luck with your measurements, you've been doing good - keep up the good - your results will prove that. :)

I have a busy day and tomorrow, too, ugh - where to fit in a workout! I definitely need to do something everyday - I need that endorphin rush for sure!!!

Have a great day everyone!
I hope to get back to catch up later.

Marcia.

Good morning Traci and Marcia!

Traci - if your clothes are looser, you are sure to be pleased with your measurements. You work so hard, enjoy your success!

Marcia - I hope you get the workout worked in! I missed a few over the weekend and it seems to double my stress level. Sometimes though it is just IMPOSSIBLE to find the time when there are 1,000 other things demanding your attention. Thank goodness my life has settled back down to normal this week.

Traci - since I've ordered all the Cardio Coaches, now I need a bigger MP3 player!! Oh my....

Good morning, ladies!

I did 45 min. TM run followed by 45 min. upper body/abs premix from Max. Intensity Strength. First time I've tried that one. Meant to do the whole thing, but then remembered I have B&G on tap for tomorrow morning. Eek! Trying to hit upper and lower at least twice a week plus a circuit workout like Drill Max...

Will weigh in a little later this morning... (at home, not at WW) I'll report the results.

Traci, hurray for hopping back on the wagon!! Remember, I'm chasing you!! (heh, heh)

Marci, I hope you get that workout in!! Makes or breaks your day, eh? Yes, we're crazy.

Jane, have fun with the CCs! Yippee!

Have a great morning, everyone!
Cheryl

Good morning, ladies. Just a quick check in before running out the door. DH has an appt to get running boards put on our SUV and wants to eat breakfast while we are out.

Traci- I am glad you cleared that up, I was so confused there for a second!!! :7 I am glad that you got some sleep and that you were able to get back on the wagon! Great job with P90X and your measurements sound great!!!

Cheryl- Great job on the TM!

Jane- I have been eyeing the CC series, but don't have anything in which to use them (no MP3, TM or elliptical), so my meeting Coach Sean will have to wait.

I think that I may tackle BM2 as written today with light weights. I have only done Jari Love 4 times in the last 2 wks, but am really liking what I see!!

Gotta run!

Hi Ladies....my dad seems more at peace with the surgery now that it is set, and he has had time to think about it. We went deer hunting again this morning. Amy, the reason the dr. said it would take that long is just because my dad already has wires and stints in his heart. He told them it would take 3 hours just to get his heart to the bypass machine. Hopefully it goes quicker. 7 hours is a long time.

Somebody asked me what rotation I am doing?? It is Cathe's Get in Shape for Summer rotation. I think it is April '05 rotation. Today is a mish mosh of kickbox. I am looking forward to it!!

Tomorrow is the dreaded WI. I hope it is positive. My yucky time is right now, and even if I gain, and I know that, it still stinks.

Have a great day!
Lori

Amy, good morning!! Sounds like you're having a decent day so far.

Lori, sounds like positive progress for your dad.
Yayy on the Cathe rotation. Sounds like a good choice.

Okay... drumroll... I weighed in at home this morning. 133.5!!
Traci, I am hot on your tail. Now you've got to stay in there, girl!! :) :) :)

Just as I had hoped and expected - now that I've put on the 5-7 pounds of muscle from Cathe, the losses should start showing up on the actual SCALE. I'm so happy.
Here's to a great morning, everyone!
Cheryl

Hi gang!

I polished off Cardio Fusion yesterday, but it felt tough! But then, that was the point, wasn't it? BTW, I still cannot stand those turning power squats, and I especially dislike the BM2 3rd blast because of them. If it weren't for those things, I would consider the cardio in that workout flawless. I guess we all have our nit-picks, hey? Today I take things down a bit with a KPC/LG premix (drills and standing leg work).

Cheryl - this was my second time doing CF, and I can't say I found it too complicated. I think I've done the other workouts enough that I'm okay with the choreography of it all. And I've been doing Cathe's workouts for so many years that I can follow her cuing very easily. She's extremely consistent in how she structures her step routines. Oh, and I am a "note taker." I have a page in my notebook for the breakdown of every workout, Cathe's weights, and my weights. For a workout like DrillMax I always briefly review the descriptions of the drills before hand, and have the necessary equipment waiting for me to get at easily. That helps a lot. I'm glad you ordered CK/CM!! They are both very good workouts, although it took some time for CK to really grow on me. Now I really enjoy it, and I especially love it when I mish mosh it, circuit style, with Leaner Legs. And the drills at the end that Jane referred to are fun. That's an awesome 80 min lower body bonanza. Circuit Max is just a thorough, fun, cardio workout. It's surprisingly intense; one of Cathe's stand-alone gems. If you really like HSChallenge, then you will love HSTA as well. They are very, very similar. And CTX is a super, super series, for its versatility. I never do the workouts as produced, but use them frequently in different ways. Leaner Legs followed by CTX Kickbox cardio is a terrific combination that leaves your entire body feeling toned. All-Step and Step & Intervals cardio combined is an intense one-hour step workout. The CTX Upper Body premix is a 50 minute upper body workout that hits every muscle, repeatedly. Very, very good.

Buffy - I love hearing about your progress!!! GOOD WORK!!!!

Traci - so, what did yesterday's workout actually consist of? And I'm not the one who did the workout; YOU are the one who deserves the credit for getting yourself suited up and off to the races. High Five!!!! Power Circuit is a fun, fun workout. Personally, I think you're feeling good about your progress with P90X, then you don't have to take your measurements if it's only going to de-motivate you. You're obviously doing terrific!!

Lori - if the surgery is on the 12th of Dec, will he be home for the holidays, or will you be celebrating at the hospital? A mended heart sounds like a wonderful present :) My 6 year old AND my 14 month old are both asking Santa for their two front teeth!

Amy - Well, if that isn't just great news on the compression stockings!!! Have fun with BM2 today. And if you would do that third blast twice, I would appreciate it. That way, I won't have to do it again on Friday.

Jane - 8 CCs!! You'll be on that treadmill so much you should hook yourself up to the electrical box and just power your house. No sense in letting all that expended energy go to waste now, is there?

Marcia - I love my daily endorphin rush, too. I hope you find time to get it in!

Okay, time to return to my real life. We reached a record low temperature for this day: -27C (-16.6F) with a windchill of -40C (-40F). Anyone want to pay my heating bill next month? I can probably become registered as a charity, if that helps :)

Have a great day!
Sandra

Last nite I did Core Synergistics from 90X. I had to work out at nite since I was too tired to get out of bed in the morning. I really hate working out at nite and the though of it is what usually gets me out of bed in the morning. This morning I got up super early because I had an 8:00 a.m. meeting and I wanted to get my yoga in so I won't have to do anything tonite.

I'm really feeling my abs from Core Synergistics. I also feel my shoulders from push ups. I did them all on my toes though, so that's good. I'm kind of on the fence on whether I like this workout. I thought some of the moves transitioned too fast to get down the proper form (i.e. superman to banana). All and all I found it to be very hard. At the end I substibuted some hanging ab work since DH finally put together the tower in my gym (yippee!!).

Eating went well yesterday except I only used 17 pts. I know that's a no no. Will do better today. One of the other attorneys in my office is a mad baker and brought in a container of chocolate/chocolate chunk cookies. GRRRR!!!! This time of year can be so challenging on the diet. I have resisted so far and will continue to do so.

Sandra - where do you live that you are having such cold weather this early in the season? Canada? I live in Vermont and we haven't had any days below 20 F yet so I'm happy.

Buffy

Marcia: If you get as grumpy as I do when I have unplanned off days then LOOK OUT WORLD! I do hope life settles down just a bit for you

Jane: Oh I want an MP3 soooooo badly! i dont know if Santas going to bring 1 or not... Did you RUSH DELIVERY your new stash???

Cheryl: PLEASE express ship a 60 day supply of TM Happy Pills.... I still look at mine with un-clean thoughts! AWESOME 133.5! Girl - you are so past chasing me! I WI this am at 132.8.... You are side by side and I am so excited for all you are accomplishing! I will "let":p you take the lead as I think I need to get in your airflow for awhile! You must feel & look amazing.... wt is down and BF is down! I am so perplexed on my BF%... barely moves FABULOUS RESULTS due to your FABULOUS consistency & focus.... I take my hat off to you today!

AMY: What did ya have for breakfast? Not being food police but I just LOVE breakfast foods... Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes.... I could eat those 4 things all day every day and be happy forever! GREAT selection for W/O today... EXCITING news about your Jari Love results so far! High 5

Lori: Happy your dad is feeling more at peace. The unknown is so very difficult. {{{{{{{{lori}}}}}}} I really hope you dont spend any energy at all on the possible WI # tomorrow. It will be exactly what its going to be and you are such an inspiration to be w/o regularly with all that is going on right now. You are a strong woman and you are dealing w/ a family crisis so please let yourself off the hook for a WI. Continue to nurture yourself thru exercise and let the rest just be.

Sandra: I dont know why I ever take a sip of water while reading your posts.... You surely must be a comedic writer! I do have to share a new Japanese Proverb w/ ya tho: BEWARE OF HIDDEN POOP UNDER EVERY FALL LEAF
Yup- 3x today!!!!!!!! lol
Ok read this carefully my friend: KPC/LG is NOT a "take it down a notch workout".... All I got thru was CTX Kick yesterday.... ***hanging head in utter shame***;-) OK I'm lying- you really are another inspiration/torture for me!
I love what you said to Lori: " Dads getting a mended heart for the holiday" You made me cry w/ that one..... What a wonderful way to view the situation. I wish I had known you last year when my mom was so sick..... thanks for touching my heart this AM.
ENOUGH sappy stuff- I have a Christmas tree to get up and decorated!

Hugs to all my WW Friends... You are each so unique and perfect :)

Afternoon Ladies,

This morning, I did Imax 3 WOW that’s great workout. I’m really starting to love this workout, very challenging, don't ya think?

Tonight, L&G & abs :p :9 :p

Guess what, I just received Get Ripped 1000 can't wait to watch it tonight :p :D

Teddygirl~

Traci - I had them sent priority... 4.20 with no handling fee! I am now looking at the IPOD nano 4 GB. I have it narrowed down to buying it off Amazon (no tax) or our local Walmart... same price but will have to pay tax about $15.88 on the IPOD and holder. I know if I buy it from Walmart and have any problems, they'll take it back and give me another one, no questions asked. Not sure about Amazon. Decisions, decisions.

I just finished B&G and didn't do PUB as I'd also planned today. Too much time on the computer comparing a gazillon nanos!

Off to the shower and then to town. I have a routine dentist appt at 4:15 and then the WW meeting.

OH BTW.... after Thanksgiving last week (which I did well but still used all my flex points) and then a high point day on Saturday due to STRESS, WORKING, AND MORE STRESS.... I was DOWN 4.5 pounds this morning from last Tuesday morning. You did not read that wrong. I am back down to the weight I achieved on about week 8 of WW, then bumped back up. I am starting week 13 tomorrow. All these weights though have still come in under my set weight at WW. Also what is very puzzling is the fact that TTOM arrived yesterday.... go figure.... I've quit trying to figure it out....:p

DH wanted to go to Denny's for brunch, so I got something of the Fit n Fare menu. I can't remember what it's called, but it was 3gm if fiber, 496 cal, 11 gm fat (dry sourdough toast with egg beaters and grilled ham with fruit on the side). It was very tasty, and I was only able to eat about 1/2 of it.

I found this on a different site and thought that it was interesting. According to these calculations, my points will be 28 on the new scale, whereas it's 24 on the old....Hmmmmm very interesting!

"I also found out a little more about the new points target (from one of the WW boards)

Total is daily points....suppose to be effective Dec 8th... "

Buffy- for some reason I though about you when I read this and how great you are at staying right at 20-22 pts/day. This may give you a bit more leeway for that sushi night!
;-)

Oh my goodness, Jane, what a drop in weight!!

Ummm, could the extra hard workouts and ocassional even 2-a-days have anything to do with it? :)

I have a theory that for some of us who are really amping up the workouts with Cathe and P90X that the muscle gains have disguised our fat loss on the scales for 3-4 weeks, but once we've hit that new level of muscle we're not likely to add much more muscle without dramatic new effort (i.e. bodybuilder splits with extra heavy weight, etc). So at this point I think the progress is starting to show up again on the scale. Does that sound right?

So everyone's leanness and reduced measurements have been showing, but no weightloss for awhile... now our patience is really paying off as the fatloss continues and the scale drops as well (helped further by the additional calorie-burning muscle we've gained). Don't you love it? I think it makes perfect sense.

Makes all the workouts more worth it also, eh?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
Cheryl

Amy- Thanks for that info!!! I figured my Points would be at 23, up 3 Points. I had a hard time figuring my daily activity. I work from home, I am a very busy person, but I do sit down somewhat. I figured the walk alot catergory. On our board last week, it said the new program was not coming out until Dec. 17th!! I might ask tomorrow why so late?? I asked our receptionist last week, and she did not know.
Lori

Lori- I have heard that the new program was going to be launched on 10 December, and also the 1st, so who really knows??? I am hoping to get some further information this Thursday at my meeting.

Hi

I am going to go to WI tomorrow and not talk myself out of it or get "too busy" with work! I did my monthly WI early last week so it has been quite some time now since my last WI. I have managed to wait until the last possible chance this month. If I skip it, I'll have to pay next time, and I don't want that!

I did B&G today, but not the floor work. I get really impatient after about an hour so the standing legs and abs was about perfect. I am going to tack the floor legs onto a cardio day later this week.

4.5 pounds in one week is awesome!
