Happy Friday.

Rest day for me. Tomorrows run will be 11 miles. Can't believe I just typed that.

We are all doing great so far. Tweating our calories, testing what could work, mixing up our workouts.

I'm still hopefull I will be even more successful this upcoming month than ever before.

Shereta - can't wait to hear about your 11 mile run. I KNOW you can do it!! This was your goal for the end of the month right? Have a great run tomorrow and just keep reminding yourself of how far you've come and how much you should be proud of yourself.

This morning is Athletic Training for me. I may add a HIIT, depending on how my foot feels.

I'm really hoping I can get in a long run on Sunday. But if not, I'll try a shorter run. I'm really wanting to go running - craving it almost!

Melanie, I hope you're able to get a good run in. My neighbor injured herself on her last marathon and she is having major withdrawls from running. I've been her cheerleader for the past few weeks as it's really taking a toll on her spirits. It will only make you stronger when you're back to 100%.

Today was Kickbox Surge and High Reps. It's been over three months since I've done HR and I had forgotten how much it burns the shoulders and tris. One of my favorites for sure.

Next three days are heavy cycling and then back to new rotation for a month.

Quick checkin. On July 31 I weighed 153.6, today weighed in at 147. So I lost 6.6 lbs this month I think mostly from not eating cookies, cake, brownies, ice cream. I was a up a few lbs from my initial weigh in so my ticker doesn't show the whole weight loss for the month. Adding sugar back in tomorrow, will be more sensible about it though :)

Morning ladies! Thanks for the kudos Melanie! I've done the sugar-free thing a few times in the past and usually saw a 2-4lb weight reduction, so this time was my most successful weight-loss wise. In addition to no sweets, I tried to keep my calories at 1400/day. Most days I was successful, some days went over, my average for the month was 1411. A few months ago I signed up for Cathe's nutrition system and that told me to eat between 1200-1450 calories/day. So I settled on 1400 for last month. I will say that I didn't feel "peppy" at all during the month. I wasn't tired, but I didn't have a whole lot of physical motivation.

For this month I've added Cathe's 4 day split rotation (Nov 07) to my calendar. My goal is to follow that rotation without skipping a single workout. So I'm not even going to attempt any run/walks this month (but when I do I'm going to watch my stride!), I'm just going to do 4ds + yoga/stretch and have 2 days off a week from exercise. Totally doable :) I'm also going to increase my calories to 1500/day to make sure I have enough energy. May go up from there again if I need to. So this month if I lose weight, great, but if I don't and I follow the rotation like I'm saying I'm going to, awesome!

Hi Shereta - how's your 11 miles going today? Are you indoors or outdoors? I know you want to tweak your input for weight loss but make sure you're fueling those runs!

Melanie -how's your foot doing? Good luck on your run tomorrow, take care of yourself :)

Tina I hope you're having fun cycling, how much longer before the weather won't allow it? Are you following Cathe's September rotation or something else?

Renee - you & your dad are in my prayers, I hope things are going okay for you, are you visiting him now? Congrats on your weightloss, I would be stress eating!

Gina - Your calorie plan looks good! How do you track your intake? I use the "Calorie Counter" app from fat secret. Data entry is super easy once you get used to it (it keeps recently eaten and most eaten lists so you can just check stuff and it lets you save whole meals). Remember to give your body a little while to get used to the new calorie level.

As you can see its very late here. Thanks for the encouragement for my 11 miler. It went well. I ended up walking 1.25 miles of it. After 4 miles, 1 walked a lap. After 3 miles, I walked a lap, etc. the trainers say walk a little to save energy for the last few miles. I like that. I did watch a Cast Away while on the treadmill though. Love me some Tom Hanks.

And how come DH sat in the garage with me for at least 6 miles? Quality time. He cracks me up. He doesnt run on Saturdays. But, kudos for him for spending "quality time" with me. Right?
 
Happy Sunday, All. I only got 4.5 hours of sleep last night, but I was determined to get up and get some cardio and upper body. I did 35 minutes of Body Max 2, the upper body work and core work. That is one of my favs. I kept the step on 6 inches and did no high impact to save my legs and knees. Im feeling great.

Congrats to you all for your successes.

So tired of sitting. I tried to jog yesterday at my sisters apt complex. It was raining I didn't care I got in 25 minutes before thw lighting started. So for thee days I only got in that. It seems everyone wants me to eat... I'm fat geez I don't want to eat. I appreciate the offer but I don't see the point in eating dinner when I had just ate. Grrrr.lol

I just finished a 2 miles walk and 30 minutes of Lower Body Blast. Great music and fun. My legs were quivering.

Had the best riding weekend ever! Mega hills and roads we've never traveled on, put in over 150 miles. Tomorrow, NO CARDIO, just a Gym Styles upper body and a really long stretch. Eating was great until we went apple picking and the farm was just putting out hot apple cider donuts. We bought a dozen and devoured them between the four of us. Best thing I've eaten all summer! I'm so happy it's a long drive to get there, otherwise I might be tempted to buy more. MMMmmm!
 
Made it home! I did mike donavantes workout Im not spelling it right but I really liked it. It had some high impact but nnot a lot. Yesterday I tried christy Taylor cool step seemed like it will b fun. I only did 20 min of that my ankle srarted hurting. Frustrated for sure. I wonder what the heaven is wrong now. Me n DH is going to beach his job is sending him. So ill b resting on beach. There is a gym there so I think it will b perfect time to do elliptical and maybe get my foot to heal! It seems to b getting worse again. Have a great day all. My dad isn't doing well. I am scared for him. My sister is not a reliable person to take care of him.

Happy Tuesday - hope everyone had a great long weekend.

I'm down 2 pounds today - woohoo!! That's the largest weight loss I've had in a while so I'm feeling that I'm in the right direction with my diet changes. The only thing I really struggle with is popcorn. Well, its only been a week so hopefully those cravings will subside.

Shereta - congrats on your 11 miles!!! And its awesome that your hubby was cheering you on. What a great friend.

Tina - 150 miles?!?!?! WOW. You are really inspirational. Those apple donuts sound irresistable. I'm sure they didn't hurt you too much considering how much cycling you did.

Renee - hang in there. You should be so proud of yourself for getting in that 25 minute run considering your circumstances. Taking care of yourself is the best way to make sure you can take care of others - both physically and emotionally.

I didn't get in my long run this weekend. On Saturday I spent all day on my feet making tomato sauce - made 30 large jars!!! I was on my feet from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. While the sauce was cooking I did IMAX 2. So by the end of the night, I could feel my left foot was tender. I decided not to do a long run on Sunday. I did Afterburn instead - which is a true burner. As Cathe would say - YOWZA!!

This morning was Gym Styles BSB and tonight will be Gym Styles legs. I'm doing two workouts today cause tomorrow I'm travelling to Atlanta to visit my parents for a week.

Renee have a great time on the beach, I haven't been to the ocean in quite some time, but it has a calming/relaxing effect, just taking in the vastness of it.

Shereta - did you do the weights after KB today? wow, my knees are stiff now!

Hey, Yall. Today was 2 miles of 300s at 5.5 speed. Wow. That was a tough little workout.

Sue, no weights after KB. No time. I did that one mostly for the great upper body workout KB gives me.

Tomorrow should be SuperSets. Love that Ball work.
 
Today's workout was the Firm's SuperCharged Scultping. That's one of my oldies but goodies. It always leaves me sore the next day.

Just finished 4DS LIS, thought it would be an easy day but still felt it. DOMS from Tuesday legs/core still. Eating clean for breakfast and lunch the dinner and evening have been a bit dirty this week. I may weigh in tomorrow but I'm a little afraid. It's quiet out there I hope you ladies are enjoying yourselves. Shereta enjoy your rest day tomorrow, you've earned it!
