Are medicine balls and exercise balls the same thing? Ads never mention that an exercise ball weighs 8 lbs. or any pounds, for that matter. Some of Cathe's videos mention that 8 lb. medicine balls are used. Thought I'd better check out where to get one before the videos arrive. So. Whaddya think? How do I go about ordering one?

Weighted exercise balls at D*ck's Sporting Goods, Sports Authority or WalMart are the same thing as a medicine ball.

Hi Paledino~If you are referring to the "balance ball" or the "stability ball", (they are the same thing) they are NOT weighted. Cathe will be using both the medicine ball and the stability ball in her videos. She is using an 8# medicine ball & if I remember right, a 55CM stabilty ball.

I think the size of the stability ball is based on your height, or more specifically, the length of your legs. I want to get one of those before I get the new Intensity Series. Any special thing should I look for?
I think I wait on the medicine ball (till I could get up to 8 lbs)... I hate buying different sizes as they are pretty expensive. Cathe said you could modify the exercises with dumbells till you are strong enough to use an 8 lb medicine ball.
