Good morning all -

I did really well last night. I had 11 points left when I got home from work, ate a small piece of lasagna and headed off to an hour of teaching circuit class. When I got home had a few veggies and dip. Not bad for just getting back on track, I thought.

How about everyone else? How'd you do yesterday? Exercise?

Good Morning Gang:)

I have a dentist apt today that I was happy to get but not happy about going!:-( My mouth is going to be numb for the rest of the day! I have baby group at 1:30 and I am hoping my mouth will be back to life by then!
So no workout for me this a.m cause my apt is at 9:30. Maybe I will get to go for a walk around 10:30 or so and save Imax 2 for after lunch.

Marcia, I did well yesterday. Lucky for me, I am breastfeeding so I get a lot more points then you guys do. Not sure how I will cope when I stop:eek: Sounds like you had a good day. The first day is the hardest in my eyes... when you get the ball rolling its alot easier. And then its even easier when you start losing weight.

I got my run in last night and my legs felt like they were 60 lbs each. They were so heavy! I did my run on the TM though while DH was out.
The baby as been sleeping alot better the past few nights....thankgoodness! He as been going to bed around 7:30,and waking at 11:30, 3ish and then 7 he is up for the morning. I like the fact that he is going to bed earlier b/c I do some things that need to be done around here.

Ill be around for a while.Hope to catch some of you!

Marcia-I did pretty good yesturday,yesturday was KPC/abbs! Sounds like you did a good job yesturday,good for you! I get 30pts a day(slowly declining,was getting 32x()I try to zigzag my points (more one day,less the next,then even and so on)I don't use any of my activity pts or flex,just zigzag!Have a great day

ETA-Marcia,looks like we got the same destination in mind!(140)your ten pds lighter though(going by your 3fatchicks measure thingie,its very cute;-))talk to ya later!

Lori-Im glad the little guy is letting you get more sleep,soon you'll wake up and realize you've slept all night!

Well gang,todays workout will be upper/lower then a nice long walk in the afternoon! I'm up agian before my kiddies(love it)didn't go to bed last night until 11 though!

I ate some speghetti last night,I measured my noodles and is it 4pts for a cup(cooked,2oz dry)? It just dosen't sound right to me,the serving seemed huge!

I know I'll bbl!:) ;-)

Changing X Kenpo to tomorrow as yesterday’s workout has left me very toasty in arms!

Will test drive Sweatfest SCULPT which is the Functional/Balance …. Looking forward to that one as well.

Workouts yesterday….
*Core Syn*…. I’ll never look forward to that one…it’s the rolling on the floor thing!

*Sweatfest Kick* (Tracey Staehle) LOVE IT! Can also be done “naked”. AWESOME drill type—she does go into really fast paces but then slows it down again “to get your form back” I really thought that was cool… I kept it low the whole time and still burned over 500 calories for the 60 minutes. I didn’t use weighted gloves and I still felt this one BIG TIME in arm muscles and lats! If I use gloves in future I think I can make it into two effective 30 minute workouts… Just what I am looking for! A KEEPER….

Also did waist, legs, buns & thighs from *SQUEEZE*- let me re-phrase… I *attempted* …HOLY CRAPOLA…. No wonder ballerinas have legs to die for. This is one I will have to work up to. I think I’ll do it in small segments throughout X. It’s a toaster!

I shall return with personals! You all are making me hop this morning to catch up!

I'm headed out for a 6 mile run with partners and hoping to complete Muscle Max after that.

I ate decently but not wonderfully yesterday.

Traci, wow, talk about coming back with a vengeance after being sick. What a workout day! Sounds like you enjoyed it.

If you really aren’t into cardio then walking is a great idea! The fact is that if you aren’t doing much now then even a little bit will shock the old bod! That’s great!!! 10 pounds is do-able! Just a little more cardio/walk/ walk& jog intervals will zap it.

Congrats on the 6.8 loss so far! That’s really wonderful… just take it one pound at a time. When I had 30 to lose I just couldn’t look at the big picture… I had to take it one weekly weigh in at a time… I celebrated all victories too… without food of course- usually a new workout DVD…. It may not seem like 30 was a lot but it took me almost 2 years to lose it so I know what a long journey feels like. Took me FOREVER to figure out what my 44 year old peri-menopausal body needed! You can do it!

Want me to email all those guys and tell them what are acceptable munchies at the office???? Sounds like you are all still celebrating tho and you all deserve it- You are in control just fine… I give it another few days and the stuff wont look appealing anymore! HCE 2 days in a row???? OH MY! I’m pulling it off shelf this week for sure!

{{{{loris teeth}}}} Hope it goes well this morning! Great run yesterday! LOL on DH and his priorities these days! Men are so funny- my DH constantly has to be reminded that I have an entire life when he’s not around. … They are so much more high maintenance than women imo…On your rotation and the feedback… Take all feedback and consider it then dump whats not right for you…. Whats TOO HEAVY on cardio to one person could be your norm…. Remember that everyone of us is only speaking from our experience with our body! The fact is I took everyone’s advice on forums and GOT NO where for a year…. When I stopped listening to others and started paying attention to how my body responded to exercise I got all results plus more than I hoped for! You’re smart…. You know your body…. Trust yourself… advise is wonderful but it is never to be substituted for your own good judgment.


Amelia: Package is ready to ship today! So happy you are loving KPC! Are you digging into those premixes yet? ^5 on exam last night! You are so disciplined! I need you to teach me how to study…. Your {{hugs}} everyday were very much appreciated and felt! Thank you sweetie


Belinda: Package is ready to ship today too! Nice run! Hope PUB makes you cry MOMMY today!!! YEAH on the no sweets yesterday! On the food… have you tried alternating starchy carb days with “no” starchy carb days? That might not work if you cant control the portion sizes but for me it works great… Yesterday I had bread (whole grains) at 3 meals…. Today and tomorrow will be no bread days…. Thursday I’ll have them again… etc…. Just an idea that worked for me – Got it from BFFM a year or so ago.

Do you count running after the little one these days as cardio? Lolol I bet you are amazed at the challenges such a little person can create with just crawling! Wait until walking starts! OMG! Glad BBC is going well! YEP- those guys are lookers and HIGHLY MOTIVATE ME! Lol Missed the concert due to the bug… that’s ok- sometimes life has other plans for us. I don’t sweat those things much anymore… Life is good so a curveball isn’t going to take me down!

That’s it for me…. Took well over an hour to catch up so Plan B today…. Perhaps a mid day checkin ! I could have been done with half my workouts by now! You ladies are keeping me hopping…. Oh yes- a report card on yesterdays studies!
Lets see…. All the pencils are sharpened, the books are laid out nicely, the DVDs are all stacked next to player….YES I am ready now! lolololol
 
Good Morning Gang!

Up and at'tem early as my facial is scheduled for 10am (Sorry, Lori, I'd much rather have my appt than yours;-) )

Anyway, yesterday was one of my days that the switch was never able to turn "on", so it was a day that went from the bed to the couch, back to the bed and back to the couch!

Oh, and I am finally getting my guts worked up to have DH take pictures this morning, toox( I HATE having pictures taken of myself, especially on purpose!!!

Legs/Back on tap today and I think that I'm going to add in a bit of yoga at the end to loosen everything up because I never did get to it yesterdayx(

I admire how everyone can keep up with personals. It's not easy. I'm confused, I guess I have to get to know everyone!!!

I did okay yesterday as far as eating goes. I went to bed with just 18 points under my belt. I'm feeling better already and going to weigh in tomorrow.

Lori - I like the rotation you wrote up yesterday. I don't have PS though and since I read it's dated now, I'm not going to purchase it. I can't wait until the four-day split is ready. I'm really looking forward to that one. Good luck at the dentist!!!!!

Traci - I might have missed this but did you get to do Squeeze yesterday? I'm really curious how this workout is.

Mary - How was dinner? To answer your question from yesterday...my mom has adjusted to my dad's death but she really depends on me a lot! She was always very dependent on him and now she deals with her own health issues. We keep plugging away.......

Amy - I hear you on the communication issues with DH. You're not alone! Have fun in Philly. Don't forget to eat a cheesesteak while you're there. After all of the working out at the Cathe Camp, you'll have plenty of points, lol!!!!!!

Kim - Congratulations on the weight loss. You truly are an inspiration!!!

Cheryl - Thanks for the warm welcome and I hope I can add some inspiration back.

Belinda - My downfall is the weekend too. Too much eating out....but this weekend I did okay. I'M ON PROGRAM AND IT FEELS GOOD! Let's see how this weekend goes, lol.

Marcia - Me too!!! I usually don't have too much problem working out, it's always the food. I also eat too much of the good stuff. My portions have been out of control. I would be huge if it weren't for the fact that most of my choices are "clean".

Nancy-I know excatly what your talking about,my first couple of post i was afraid i would get everyody mixed up! The way I keep up is copy and paste method!(reply,write a little,copy,go back,read,then it starts all over agian)It does take awhile though, I have a VERY bad memory so it works for me! This thread is so much fun,I love it!

so far I haven't jump on the scale!( and don't intend to until friday,I've set my mind to it;-))........BBL!
 
goooood morning ladies:) WOW are we a big group!!! this is such a great place to come and chat. my dh makes fun of me because i am always checking the forum to see if anything new happened:) i am in a kickboxing place right now so i am thinking kpc or kickmax or kenpo along with slow and heavy. i am going to incorporate slow and heavy for the next 3 weeks, i am trying to break a plateau that i have hit:)

traci:i am sorry you missed the concert, but i too believe everything happens for a reason and you were not meant to go. i love your positive outlook it is an inspiation

marcia:way to go on day 1. that is amazing!!i also love to eat but i never mind working out. my family makes fun of me because i work out for and hour and than i will have 2 slices of pizze(trying to stop that of course)

kim:great job on your weight loss. i am stuck at my weight right now but i am going to try and spice things up to get some better results. the fact that i have been grazing for 2 weeks i am sure has not hepled:)

cheryl:looks like a great day ahead for you. i have the same problem at my office(i work from home)i have to force myself not to snack on the kids food:)

Marcia I did well all day exept for dinner! I did had spinch ravioli for dinner:9 The scale is still going down! I am happy with that!

Traci I am going and give it a try! For breakfast a ate a little muecslix with yogurt, lunch and dinner no carbs today! The carbs are the hardest thing for me!

Nancy I usually do bretty good on the weekend! I eat a little more, but I don't become Miss Biggy! I fellt it on Sunday:+ I can't just eat 20 points on WW, I end up eating 30! You guys are doing so good! I am alway hungry when I count WW points!

Mary have fun with Slow and Heavy! I didn't loss any weight in March! Cathe's April rotation is breaking my plateau! Maybe you want to give this one a try?

Amy you look fantastic:) You do still do PO90! Have fun with your workout today!

Amy-You Look Fantastic,how much weight have your lost is total? Your where I want to be one day:)! ^^^5's to ya,you deserve it!


Belinda-I was around 140 at 18yrs so I remember looking pretty good at that weight! Iam 5'2, and most of my weight is in my legs/thighs/stomach(the body part I hate working out the mostx(). Oh,Im so excited, I can't wait until I get there agian!(got 58.5 more pounds to go:) )but going for 20pds at a time;-)!

Well gals,I got through with L.I.S and upper body and a seg. from t.b.stretching so Im pooped,my arms are toasty!I love that feeling:7 ! will try and sqeeze in the walk this afternoon! will see! I can't wait until WI friday,hopefully I've lost another two pounds(hope I don't genxs myselfx( )

Im sure I'll bbl;-) !!
 
Mary - Yes, the weather is great!!!!! I like it today better than yesterday as it's a little cooler.

Amelia - Yes, I'm enjoying checking-in too.

Amy - You look good already. You appear nice and tight so exercising has really helped you. Good luck with the X. I got to the third phase and gave up. I missed Cathe's style too much but most people get right to the end. I know you'll do well. I didn't have a pull-up bar (I wouldn't even attempt them as I have very little upper body strength) but I bought BB's bands and love them!!! Keep us posted on your progress.

Nancy, I agree with you. I am trying to learn everyone and I am so afraid I will get people mixed up. Everyone seems to be so nice and patient though. Also, thank you for your congratulations on my weight loss. I weigh in tonight. :eek: I am not too concerned. It has been a good week with food- I can do better with exercise. I could not sleep good last night- woke up at 2am and did not get back to sleep until after 3:30, so when 5am came to workout...

Amelia- in case you missed it on yesterday's board- Congrats on your exam!!! That is great! What courses are you taking?

Traci- Thanks for your compliment regarding my screen name. Also, I have been looking at Sweatfest Kickbox by Tracey Staehle- so you like it? You also mentioned you have Squeeze by the other Tracy (can't remember her last name... start with an "E"). Do you like that too? How does it compare to Lotte Berk (which I have coming from Amazon)?

Cheryl- I feel your pain regarding co-workers bringing in delicious food to the office. My office thinks up reasons to bring in food!

Amy- Yeah!! Enjoy your facial!!! I got a massage coming up May 5. I can not wait.

Marcia- Good work on your first day on WW and on getting moving. I have been walking twice a day at work also. The weight will just melt off of you. Keep up the good work!!

Amy- You look great!! I have been so tempted to get P90X!!!! I have so many other new workouts I have not even tried. I keep watching the infomercials. I am restraining myself.... for now.}(

I have a couple of questions for you all.

First, WW points. When I was on the program a year ago, I was allowed 32 pts/day. Now they have a new way to calculate and I am allowed 36 points!!! I think that is too many points. But then I hear Ameilia say she is alotted 32 points and I believe she said she was down to 199lbs. So I guess that may be right...????

Second, I posted this in open discussion but no one seemed to know. Have any of you seen the infomercial for the Spinner cycle www.spinningtv.com ? I was thinking about getting it and wanted some feedback. Does anyone know anything about this?

Finally, I was suppose to do Push Pull this morning and my two 30 min. daily walks while at work. I did the A.M. walk and will do the P.M. walk. I will do PP after my WW meeting tonight.

i love your motivational quotes:) it was hard for me to keep track of everyones names but now i feel like i know everyone better now it is becoming easier. i also have the spinner and i must say that i love it. i used the videos all the time when i first got it but now i do more of a circuit workout with my treadmill, punching bag and my spinner. i say a good investment:)

Back from my ME day. The facial was wonderful! I had to cancel my last 2 appts due to DH's dr appt and him not being able to drive, so Lisa (the lady that does them) had a LOT of work to do! Anyway, she is such a sweetheart and is in a new relationship so she just glows! From there, the mop got chopped! Yes, a haircut, that was muchly needed! Then a pedicure, another muchly needed thing! Oh, I also got my eyebrows waxed and the bikini waxed. I think that that just about covered the personal grooming that I have to pay for....at least for this month!

Amelia- Congratulations on your exam score! Keep it up!! I have lost a total of 70 lbs and would like to lose another 15, but am not going to be heartbroken if it doesn't happen.

Belinda- I just started P90X last week. It took me this long to work up the courage to have pix taken!

Nancy- I have to say that you are beautiful in your pictures with your family!!! I love the backdrop!

Butterflygurl- I know that I'm not Traci, but the SQUEEZE that you are talking about is by Tracy Effinger. It's awesome! It's not cardio in anyway, purely toning and it's killer!!! Yes, they revamped the point program last December to make it more personalized. It gave me more points, but still didn't help me a lot because of the intense workouts that I do, I still didn't get enough to eat. Don't worry about remembering everyone, it will come with time!
 
Butterflygurl-I love quotes,yours are very inspiration! I just added one to my avatar that i've been meaning to add for some time now,my instructor puts quotes on the board in every class so this one was the one on the first day of school!BTW,Im taking Medical Term.,just got through with anatomy! Hey,who wrote the quote thats talking about being succesful or making excusses! thats my favorite one!(is it Anon,are those intials)

Amy-"70pds" thats Awesome,congrats to ya!Do you use your activity pts? I was thinking that maybe I should try and use some,cathe's WO really burns me! I don't have a HRM,but the activity pts booster slider says I earn eight pts when I work out,its just hard to trust that!

Well got to give the kiddies a bath and spend time with DH I will talk to you guys bright and early !

Hi, everyone, couldn't resist popping back in to check out Amy's pix :) Very fun. Amy, you look buff already. Wow. You and Traci are tempting me to finally break out DH's P90X's and give 'em a try. We'll see.

Didn't do MM this morning - ended up opting for CTX UB plus abs instead after my run - so this has been my first weekday "double" workout since the new business began on 4/1. I love it! Feeling like I'm back in control again.

We'll take some agency photos on Friday and then hopefully, finally have our new website up very soon!!! Working on a full page ad we'll issue in the main 2 technology magazines in Utah on June 1. Very fun.

Amelia, Nancy, Marcia, Butterfly girl - very fun to have all of you with us and to see your progress. We're having a great day, all of us, eh?

Lori, how are your teeth?????? Aagh, I'm so glad for you it's over with!!!

Amy, I hope you really enjoyed that facial. What a fun treat.
