Good Morning Girls:)

How is everyone? Im sitting here in a quiet house (its quiet when DS isn't screaming) sipping my coffee and I am soon gonna pass DS to DH so I can get my run in:) I did stay home last night so he could go to a hockey game and then downtown so I think its my turn while he watches him.....even if its 9 in the morning. To bad so sad:)

We went out for a nice dinner last night and of course the bread bowl got the best of me again. I had a steak and potatoe but I didn't eat much of the potatoe and when we were done eating I felt comfortable, not stuffed. We also had dinner early b/c of the hockey game so it wasn't like I was going home and going right to bed, I hate when its bed time after you eat!

I also did more shopping yesterday but I haven't bought one thing for myself:eek: I just don't see the point b/c I know I am not going anywhere. Im not going to work, Im not going to the bars....Im just not going very far so I don't see the point in spending money on things I am not going to wear right now. We will be in again when my SIL has her baby and if I am at my goal weight I could pick up some things then. BUT of course DS as places to go....I think I have spent over $250 on clothes for him...and DH bought him a pair of Air Jordons which were $60. I also want to go back to one of the kids stores today b/c I saw some really cute overalls there that I liked and they were 2/40. In my defense, he needs some summers clothes:)

Cheryl, good job on the run yesterday! I would love to run that far today b/c I feel bloated, Ill be lucky if I can get a 6 mile run in. DOn't worry, Im sure the scale will go back down.We will see our goal weight, I promise you!

Amelia,I think getting started with losing weight is the hardest but then when you see the scale go down, its alot easier to stay with it. Congrats again on your weightloss this week.

Traci, where are you??? Did you sleep in again? This is insane!:)

Belinda,good job on the workout yesterday.Ive benn 3 days with just cardio so its weights for me tomorrow:)

Mary,still thinking about you! I can't umagine what you must be going through! Good job on the weightloss.

Starting WEEK 3 without rest day because I am changing to a Thursday off this week … I have a rest day falling between Yoga & L&B… That works because I’m pretty tired by that time of week and I can keep Kenpo on Saturdays which I need because of bay weekends. I think I’ve had PLENTY of rest considering all the chocolate in phase 1!

Gosh I feel surprised and honored that you checked in on this difficult weekend. Its good to see that you are staying in touch and approaching your healing in a healthy way. We can all learn from you. So how did the talk with DD go? She is just such an angelic looking little thing…. I think kids do better than adults with death tho… if handled right…. My moms side of family are drama queens so all those childhood talks freaked me out terribly… I learned late in life that it doesn’t have to be a scary – bad thing. I am so glad you are here and talking about it all with us… Thank you deeply for sharing this private time of your life.
You just cracked me up about the scale! That’s the difference between us… Even tho I would have KNOWN there was something wrong with scale I still would have taken that 12#s! LOLOL

LOL on BBC! If you like X weight work & gym feel then it’s a MUST HAVE! More endurance based so it’s a great way to shake things up after an X round… Many people are seeing great results doing Phase 2 & 3 of X then doing a month of BBC then back to X or SH/GS/PS

Your run was AMAZING! You were so dang “high” when you posted… I’d be NOT high! Lol PLEASE don’t worry too much about scale…. You & I know exactly what we can & cant do with food and for some reasomn we both have been pushing the envelope- I am back in the game and I am going to stop telling myself negative things… Its all PMA! (positive mental attitude) for me from this point on! I tossed my log in drawer and will not log into SP for 30 days… I KNOW what to do and (Tosca) and I will do it. I no longer want symbols that I am not in charge… That’s really what the log & SP are for me at this point… It’s a NEW ME!

Lol on logging in… makes your heart stop for a minute huh? That’s Ok about laughing at my Denise… I’m used to it! Do you not EVER do lighter intensity/duration workouts??? I use them regularly to mix things up or in my recovery weeks. Keeps my body guessing better…Also Denis & Kathy Smith are my go to’s for non step- non & low intensity days..SSC for me.
I don’t know how all of you do it without giving your bodys a break… When I used to do that I found in order to keep my body in shape I had to do more & more…. I worked out (with Amy) 2-3 hours every day for a year with no results but overtraining and fat storage. Maybe its just how my body responds at this stage in life…. GREAT RUN!!!! Safe travels home today.

Hope you did Ok thru your storms! Wacky Doodle Weather! We are down in the 40’s this morning after a cold front BLEW the heck out of everything yesterday… 50 mile hour gusts all day! I just want my normal Texas heat & humidity…. LOL on Denise’s voice… I hear it but for some reason it doesn’t phase me… Maybe its because I had to learn to deal with all the Texas Twang years ago- nothing bugs me as much as that Southern drawl! LOLOL ^^^^5 on scale victory! 1 at a time they are melting away!!!

WOW on Pyramids yesterday! GREAT JOB!!! LOL on rest days… I tend to go with my body too… I think that’s a good plan. Just take them when you need them… Cheryl taught me that! Some months its more than others.

I am the same way on clothes shopping... DH always says GO BUY CLOTHES THAT FIT! I say I'd rather spend available $$ on more DVDs!!! }(
Good job with last nights dinner.... I am grilling Steaks tonight- I'll have a 4oz with Veggies & Salad and DH can have baked potato & rolls... I LOVE BREAD but is soooooo would be on my butt tomorrow!

goog morning..we are having quite a bad rain storm today(not like traci's storms but pretty bad:) )i am going to try and catch up on my house which has benn neglected for a while. i think i may just run on the tm instead of stepblast. i did tell the kids about grandma but i must say nobody was realy reactive. my ds did not really get it but i think when he notices that she is no longer coming around it may sink in. we have changed our prayers at night to "please let grandma watch over me". i am starting to feel a little better today:)

traci:you are so sweet, i am so happy that i have you guys to talk to when things are a little crazy. maybe oneday we will all meet:)


lori:how is the boobie sleeping(or should i even ask)? i love to buy my boobies clothes too.

Mary- It's good to see you again! I am glad that you are doing okay. Yes, the fact that DG isn't around anymore will sink in, but I wouldn't worry about it for now.

Lori- I am SO the same way! I love to look at clothes, but hate to buy them because I really don't want to be in them any longer than necessary! Granted, because of the year-long plateau, I've been where I am for a while, but I am hoping that changes soon! Have a good run!

Traci- forgot to thank you for the email, I had to ROTFLMAO at it!!! I hope that the kiddies survived the storms!

Cheryl- Holy mackeral, woman! You are a crazy person with that run! I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about the scale....it's come off! Especially with runs like that~!

Amelia- I have to apologize about not congratulating you about your scale victory! I am lucky to remember my name when I am working, much less personals some nights! Anyway, Congrats! Keep up the awesome work!

Everyone else, I hope that you have a good day. I am heading off for a snooze before this becomes a rambling novel!;-)

Slept in this morning. It felt great. Now I've read the posts, had my nice Greek yogurt for breakfast (yum!) and am ready to get to work.

Lori, sounds like you had a wonderful night last night in spite of the bread basket. It will be fine. I admire your willpower while shopping. I shop more like Amy shops, I'm afraid :7 ;-)

Traci, wow, you are on fire with your workouts this week. Very impressive. You're making me want to crack DH's P90X's out of that case and give them a go.

I think I'll give Muscle Max another try this morning. Will have to clean off the disk and see if that helps. (I got my copy on the swap - but I have used it several times before without problems).

I finished my 45 min. brisk walk plus total body stretch 2!

Traci yesterday I was lifting 70 pounds doing lunges( PLB!)! I don't feel DOMS in my legs??? What is up with that??? I must be doing something wrong? Great job on your workout! I am ipressed!

Hi again, everyone! Belinda, that walk sounds really nice.

Aiyee, I had forgotten just how challenging Muscle Max is. It ran just fine this morning. I must have just been too tired to operate the player properly on Friday :7 x( That ab section is the killer of all killers and I think I'm gearing up for a good case of TOM (one reason why I think my weight is up a bit ... and my boobs have been hurting for TWO DAYS. Not a good sign). Anyway, hung in and did my best.

Teddygirl, how are you doing??? Hope your weekend is going well.

On to the day. Nice to have a great strength workout out of the way. I finally measured the wall in my workout area for mirror. I'm really getting into the strength workouts in a big way and want to start watching my form.

Onward and upward! I hope everyone is having a good afternoon.

Amy, thinking about the Road Trip is starting to get me so excited I can hardly stand it! It's going to be a great summer.

Traci, did you order the chin-up bar with your P90X set? If you did, did you like it? I seem to recall from long ago posts that the answer was yes and that you did... just checking my memory and sanity here... I'm tempted to try it. Just realizing how much the greater focus on weights is doing for me these days!

No I did not order chin up bar- I have french doors on my befroom (workout rm) and didnt know if it would work... I bought an ALTUS Door gym that is super great for my needs.... I wont get a "builders" back but thats ok - I still get definition with the cables on Altus..... plus its only 30 bucks!
 
Traci, nice, I love French doors.

I think I'm going to go ahead and get a doorway chin-up bar - I found one on eBay for $35 and in my case it can go on the door from my closet into the area where I work out (kinda hard to explain - but there's a second door out the back of my closet that goes into the expansion area above our garage which is where I work out - so it would be perfect).
