Good Morning:)

Im the first one here? Its only 7 in the morning here so I can imagine what time it is in some places. We are 2.5 hours ahead of Texas...I know that much:) So that means its 5:30 at Traci's house...but that doesn't mean that she is sleeping;)

DS went to bed last night at 7:30 so at 6:30 he is ready to start his day. He only woke up to be fed once after I went to sleep but I wish now that I had went to bed earlier.Its alright though b/c my parents are comming here today for a couple of hours. They are on their way into the city and tomorrow they leave for Ontario for a week. So...its just as well that I was up early to get a workout done before they show up b/c I won't get one in while they are here.

Im looking for a rotation though and I can't seem to find one that I like. I usually do whatever I am in the mood for that day but I think I need to do something to change my workouts and get greater benefits out of them. I still have a layer of fat that needs to gox( and I want it gone. So as of today, I am tightening up my diet and trying to find a rotation!

Hope everyone as a good day! I will be around for alittle while to see if anyone gets out of bed:)

Hi everyone:

I'm wondering if I can join (or re-join) this wonderful WW group?? I used to check in here quite a while ago, but stopped doing WW and didn't hang on to check in. BUT............I am restarting WW today and really need some support. Can I join ya, again?? ;-)

Lori - I feel the same way about doing a certain rotation. I usually do what I feel, too, or I start a rotation and three days into it don't feel like doing it x( x( I'm looking, too, I've been looking Cathe's Bootcamp Rotation - August 05, but I have P90X and want to do one of those rotations in full, too. Let me know if you come up with something?

Well, I'm going to get in the kitchen and start labeling things to find out their 'true' points. I know from being on WW for so long on and off, I know most of the points of everything, but I'm going to double check - I don't want to be putting the wrong thing down. :)

Hi Marcia! Of course you can join! This is a great group and they welcomed me with open arms a couple of monthes ago and I don't think I would have lost the weight if it wasn't for their support! When your down, they pick you up, cheer you up, and get you focused again.
Ive been following WW's for 11 weeks now and the points system is pretty easy. I think I could follow it now without checking in online. I signed up online b/c I just had a baby and knew that I wouldnt get out to meetings. The thing I really like about online is the recipe builder. You add in your ingredients and servings and it tells you how many points your recipe is per serving. I only have a couple of lbs left to go so I am really debating renewing my membership. If I do it will just be for one more month.

Alright, so here is my rotation I came up with real fast! I think I will like it and if I see benefits from it, I may do it for 6 weeks.

Week 1 and 3

Mon- Pure Strength Back,Biceps & Abs/ KM/..P.M 30 mins run
Tues- Imax 2 + abs
Wed- PS Chest ,Shoulders,& Tri/ Circuit Max/.P.M 35 mins run /abs
Thur- Run (4-6 miles)
Fri- Butts and Gutts/ Cardio of choice or no cardio/.P.M 40 mins run
Sat- MM & CTX Bic, Tri & Shoul + long run (5-8 miles)
Sun- Off or Pilates

Week 2 and 4

Mon- GS Chest & Tri/ LM/.....P.M 30 mins run
Tues- # 2 Hardcore Extreme DVD + abs
Wed- GS Back,Shoul, & Bics/ C&W/....P.M 35 mins run
Thur- Run (4-6 Miles) +abs
Fri- GS Legs / Cardio of Choice/ ....P.M 40 mins run
Sat- MM & CTX Bic,Tri & Shoul/ Long Run (5-8 Miles)
Sun- OFF or pilates

Thanks Lori for such a nice welcome - your rotation looks really good! I teach circuit and step classes three times a week for the Community Education for our school. I'll be done for summer in a couple of weeks, so I am trying to find a rotation that will work for me, too. ;-)

Yeah, I had to find a rotation that I would stick to plus, one I could do with my schedule. I am the kind of girl that if I don't stick to something to a "T" then I won't do it at all. So I had to have certain days a certain way b/c I knew that was all I had time for.
DH is finished playing hockey now so I can get outside in the evenings for a small run. Im looking forward to that. I haven't ran outside since I had the baby so it will be a nice change!

Must get my workout done!

Probably test driving Sweatfest Kick OR PowerSqueeze (30min version) I really want to see where it’s best to fit SQUEEZE lower in for the rest of my rotation of X.
As of 4pm yesterday all signs of returning fever is gone- I slept a good portion of yesterday so that must have done the trick! HOORAY!!

The next 2 weeks are also “get serious” time for finishing my AFPA studies so I won’t be around except for early morning posts… I will catch up with you fine ladies over my morning coffee everyday… other than that it’s CRACK THE BOOKS for me!

Good idea staying off of scale daily if its not a positive force. Some months I need to WI daily and other times I have to back off to weekly… Just notice whats working FOR you and go with that. Congrats on the new pant sizes! I still take in larger sizes because I need to work on my body image… So sorry about that tooth! You know I used to dream all the time about my teeth falling out.. I wonder what the hidden meaning of that is? Enjoy parenttime today… seems like the world wants to hang out with our Lori! I think its great you are going to follow a rotation… The consistency of focus really does make a big difference… We always hear about muscle confusion but not enough about consistency first THEN muscle confusion. Your new rotation looks perfect for that!

Welcome “home” Marcia! Congrats on that ticker moving downward!!! You are so active and faithful with your workouts its probably a great idea looking at control of diet – Have you read Tosca’s Eat Clean Diet ? It really makes the whole eat clean thing so do-able and easy to follow- It got me on track and I was able to finally get in my goal weight range… That and P90X – or concentrated lifting in general (other than circuits) Let us know how we can best support you this summer.

NO More Sleeping Pills for this ol'gal! Geesh,it was still in my system w/my wo yesturday,I didn't have quite the energy I ususal do!

Welcome Marcia,(or welcome back;-))I've been with this group for a couple of months,and just like Lori says there a great bunch of gals! I've been with WW for 12 weeks now,lost 21.5 pds so far,still have quite a few to go(atleast 50)but I love the system! It soooo easy! I started w/Cathe back in dec and thankful to have found her as well(shes my idol;-)) Before finding Cathe and joining WW,I was on a terrible Plateou that started back in the late summer of 06'(lost 30pds and just stopped) so if you can imagine,I was on my last nerves when I found them! Im glad your joining us,if its support you need,were here for ya :D! I was also welcomed with opened arms....have a great day!

Lori-I didn't get a chance to get back on the computer last night,so to answer your question from yesturday,My WI day is friday,and I was down exactly two pds! Im refusing to get back on the scale until this upcoming friday(lets see how long I last;-)) Ya know,sometimes I wonder if that scale is accurate,I would be disapointed if it wasn't! On a brighter side my DH also is down 2pds since last fri.(Men,they don't even try and they lose weightx( )but Im proud of him! Im sorry about your tooth! I hope everything is well for ya!

Traci-Im so glad your feeling better!If I may a ((((((hug))))) to ya! Im glad you got alot of sleep,it does a body good!

Belinda-I love playing spades,well use to when I played w/DH! We need to start making time for 'play'!

good morning chickies...what a beautiful day we are having:) :) i hope everyone had a great weekend. yesterday was such a busy day that i could not post. i am deciding if i should to an all out soring cleaning a count that as part of my workout or if i should go with stepblast or maybe both:) i have family coming for dinner so i am thinking of cooking so i dont go crazy.

traci:it is soooo good to see you are feeling better:) :) that bbc is crawzy and i am loving that intense cardio. imo they are some fine looking men:) were you suppose to go to a concert this weekend?

lori:wow the baby slept pretty well if he only got up once:) i think you are amazing....you have such stamina and i can only imagine how crazy your workouts will be when you get a full nights sleep:)

amaelia:sleeping pills effect me the same way! i did not realize you had such a tremendous weight loss!! that is great.

marcia:welcome or welcome back. this is such a great group and i think you will find them valvuable not only for weight loss support but in other ways as well:)

Mary-Good morning to you as well,My starting weight(atleast pre pregnate weight) was 278,now I weigh 199.5(last wi on fri)but want to get down to atleast 140,its a working progress;-)! I've got to get some cleaning done as well,not working out though,already decide to take a rest! I hope you have a great day!

Ladies,I have question I forgot to ask earlier! I can't remember if I've posted this before but everytime I do KPC my mid-back hurts,Am I doing something wrong? Im sure its not suppose to hurt! Any suggestions!
 
Amelia- WOW congrats on the total weight loss!! That's awesome! Keep it up, girl! Oh, on you mid-back hurting after KPC? They are called "latissimus dorsi DOMS";) My lats and back always hurt after a kickboxing workout because of all the punches and no, if it feels like muscle aches, you did it right, not something wrong!

Marcia-Marcia-Marcia- Welcome home lady! We missed you and welcome you back with open arms (like we really wouldn't!).

Traci- My dad asked me close to the same thing when they were here at Christmas....if I've ever though about being an instructor or personal trainer. I had a co-worker once tell me that I'd make a good WW leader, but since I don't do WW any more, I don't think that would be appropriate. Now, what Cheryl does intrigues me!

Okay, yesterday's workout was Shoulders/Arms from P90X plus the SQUEEZE arms/triceps add on. I can really feel the SQUEEZE in the front delts this morning!

Lori- LOL about the rotations! I TOTALLY understand what you mean! Up until last November, I just pulled out whatever workout I felt like, making sure to alternate weights and cardio. I didn't think that I could ever stick to a pre-written rotation, but tried Cathe's January one and had a blast. Now, I love the pre-printed ones because then I don't have to think!

Cheryl- What sort of goodies do you have planned for today? I hope that you have a good one!

Oh, gang, I am excited about the RT for another reason today! Other than the whole RT thing, but I was debated on asking DH to meet me in Philly on that Sunday so we could bum around the city. Anyway, I wasn't sure if he would want to (we've been having some issues with communication) so yesterday I asked him and he sounded really excited to go! Now, I won't make him sit through the entire weekend at Cathe's, but meet him at the airport on Sunday and then go from there to a hotel and bum around and sight-see since neither of us has ever been to Philly. I have to ask around about what not to miss! YEA!!!:7

Wow, Lori, that rotation looks killer awesome. You have double workouts on some days - looks like my kind of rotation, and plenty of weight workout. It looks like my kind of rotation, actually, except that I don't have Pure Strength... it's the one set I didn't collect since I have everything else :) It sounds great.

Marcia, welcome to the party! This is an awesome gang and will definitely help your success.

Traci, it is sooooo good to see you feeling better!!! I'm so glad. It's a new day, a new week, and nice to have you back in the saddle again.

What a chatty bunch! I missed alot while I was working out.
Day one of my rotation is done:) I didn't realize that the weight workout was so short. I think it only took 20 mins and KM isn't the longest workout out there either but long enough:)I didn't do the leg drills. I forgot that my dvd sticks during the 4th combo, it was a real pain b/c I had to start the dvd over and fastforward through the sticky part but then it just stuck while I was fastforwarding it....so i had to skip it and go right to the blast.

Good news, while I was working out the dentist office called and they got me in for tomorrow morning at 9:30:) Phew...they will save my tooth before it keeps chipping away. I have had to eat on the other side of my mouth for a week now.

Amy, thats awesome that your DH can join you during the RT. You can make a little vaca out of it! My sister and I were talking the other day and we were saying one of these days we are going to go on the RT. And if we don't get to do that, then someday we will go to New York, then Jersey and go to one of her classes! She is in Jersey..right?:)

Traci, you approve of my rotation?:) I posted it over on the rotation board and I didn't think about the intensity of it so others may be more concerned about me that I am:) I may get told off a few times...oh well!:)

Mary..whats for dinner? Sounds like you have a nice day ahead of you and you seem to be doing very well!

Amelia, don't ya just love it when men drop weight as fast as they drop their pants! LOL :7 :7 :7 HAHAHA! I just came up with that...but so TRUE! DH is relly thin and if he skips a meal you can see it on him. He is 32 now and his eating still hasn't caught up with him. I would love to get on the scale once a week but I know that won't happen unless someone takes the scale and hides it from me. Congrats on the lbs! You doing a great job!

Cheryl, PS is really old. Was it made in the early 90's? When DH came downstairs he made a comment about it being made in the 80's. They are good workouts though but if I didn't have them I don't know if I would buy them with everything else she as.

I was hoping to get out for a walk today but its snowing...yep, snowing! Tomorrow is suppose to be warmer...but rainx(

Alright, i must go do some stuff before my mom comes back. The Queen is gone to get her pedicure! LOL

I've decides to do KPC today! Im getting excited too!Can't wait,now that I know its just DOms and not pain(Thanks Amy,I remember that mucsle from anatomy class)in my back!

I've been up since 6am and its quite amuzeing why: My DH and his brother work at the same company,and he informed me yesturday that his brother comes to work w/biscuits and coffee at hand,which his wife makes him every morning(they got divorced,separated for two years and now working it out)anyways,I told him that I can't let my S.I.L 'out do me ' so from now on Im making him breakfast,coffee,and packing his lunch and seeing him off from work! Its was nice this morning to talk quitely together before he left,got some alone time as well!

Boy,you can sure tell I've been alone for a while,I'll close my big ol'mouth and fix my kids breakfast(not to mention study for exam today)catch you girls later!

I know you have another newbie today (hi, Marcia!) but I was wondering if you would like to add one more...?

I often lurk on this thread and get good information from all of you. I'm a WW lifetimer....I only needed to lose 10 lbs. at that time. Well....a few years later and I have 10 lbs. +. Well anyway, I usually go to WW to weigh in once a month (to keep my lifetime status) but have decided I really need to go once per week and stay for a meeting once in a while. I've been back on program for 5 days now and am feeling really good. (well, at least less bloated, lol) If I gain another 2-3 lbs. I'm going to lose my status with them.

I'm really good at my weight training too. However, I hate cardio and don't have much stamina for it either. I've been walking the last few days but I probably should be doing more.

Well, that's about it in a nutshell. I hope you have room for one more.:)

Well, ladies, Hardcore Extreme #2 jumped out of the case at me again today and I liked it even better than yesterday. Couldn't resist. A nice workout with lots of fun choreography and good blasts but the killer blasts are spaced out a little better than in straight iMax3. Loved it.

Off to work. Can't believe it's Monday already. Good thing I like my job :)

Traci I eat to much junck on the weekend! My tummy was sick Sunday! Today is another day, I will track my food intake! No more sugar, white flour, pasta or rice! Not sure what I am going to eat! I will try! My goal is 18 pounds until the RT! Please keep me on track:)

Amelia I never played spades before! I don't play cards, I really never got into it! I have to say I had a lot of fun Saturday! My husband and I bought an RV last year, so we can take my dogs on vacation with us:D :D I hate to take them to a kennel! We play cards at night in the RV with the kids it called bull s**t. That one is alot of fun!

Just a quick pop-in...amelia, when i do kpc i have to really concentrate on tightening my abs or else my lower back will hurt too.
welcome nancy, i see you are from staten island, i am from long island we are pratically neighbors:) i hope everyone is enjoying their day. on a side note i am cant believe my mom is gone 2 weeks already. i miss her a lot but i am trying to stay focused on my family which definatly helps me feel better. my little one has learned to crawl so i dont sit anymore:) bbl

Well, so far so good today - I'm making it through the morning staying OP and going to walk at lunch to add to my activity points.

I LOVE to workout that's usually not my problem, it's the eating and honestly I never thought it was too bad, I think I just eat too much. OK that is obvious, I guess what I meant was I know what to eat and staying with the 'good choices' isn't hard, but I eat too much of everything even the good stuff. Does that make more sense?? I've never been able to find the "right combo" to get this weight off. I teach two circuit and one step class during the week for our Community Education dept. in town. That's soon over for the summer, so I am looking at a P90X rotation with running added in.

Yes, Mary, we're practically neighbors. Just a hop over the Verrazzano. Are you very far out? I know those roads out can get brutal with traffic. Also, I'm really sorry about your Mom. I read about it a bit on this forum. I'm so sorry for your loss - she was way too young. I also lost my Dad to cancer some years ago. It gets easier with time, but it always hurts!!!!!

thank you!! we live about 45 minutes from the queens/ nassau border. i am originally from queens but i moved to long gile-land(pun intended:) )i am sorry to hear about your dad. my mom had ovarian cancer, what type of cancer did your dad have?
