Weight Loss Check-In 1/6/03

Okay, no one running to post this huh?

Does this mean sad news across the board ladies? :(

Nope! :)

The Intensity Series rules! Even with the worst eating weekend in a long time, I'm still showing a 1# loss this morning! :)

Who knows, once I sweat out all the extra salt from the dining out all weekend maybe that 1# might have a friend to take with it! :) But I'm happy with any loss!

How is eveyone else doing?

I'll check back...

Donna

You go Donna!!!

I'm not doing as well weight wise. I only lost .25 but hey it's the holidays, right? The really great thing is that today was my "measurement day" & even without a weight loss, I've lost an inch on my waist & .75 on my hips. I even measured 3 times to make sure I wasn't mis-measuring. I'll keep the steady weight if my measurements are getting smaller. That means I'm gaining muscle, right?!

The intensity series is AWESOME!!! I'm going to do the Total Body Blast for 3 weeks & move on to something else. We'll see when I get to the end of the 3 weeks how I feel.

Hi Everyone,

Donna--good job on the pound. The Intensity Series really rocks, doesn't it?

Gettinfit--good job on the inches lost.

I wasn't running to start this check-in at all, but here I am anyway. I gained about .5 pound this week.

I have really been eating crappy lately. As you might have seen when I posted over on the "Ask Cathe" forum, I've been struggling with having/making time to eat cleanly. I hope Cathe answers with some insights, but any help is welcomed from others. I love to cook, but lately, I just don't have time it seems.

Well, stay safe with all this snow!

Linda

Good job Donna/Gettinfit. Good luck Linda... you know you are fighting against nature this time of year trying to lose weight don't ya. Hang in there!

I lost .4 lbs (ok.. 1/2 lb). But I've been doing Donna's PS rotation and I feel pumped!! I'm sure the fat/muscle exchange thing is going on. Looking forward to better results next week!

See you guys later and best wishes to those to follow!

Great going Gettingfit and Sharon, measurements and 1/2 lbs are all losses, and all welcomed! :)

Linda: I hope Cathe does give some insight because I too have been struggling hard! I like cooking, but some evenings I'm just in a slump and can't seem to get back the enthusiasm I use to have in regards planning and cooking healthy meals. It doesn't help that many meals I'm eating alone now because hubby's schedule is all over the place right now and I just don't have the "umph" to cook a real dinner just for me. But I've got to do better and hopefully this loss, as small as it is, will be just what I need to get me motivated again. But we'll figure it out! :)

Hi ladies!
I don't have much time to post as my baby is being very fussy.:( But I wanted to post that I lost 2 pounds this week.
I missed my WW meeting b/c of a snow storm, so hopefully it and more will show up this next Thursday. I am out if the 180s! Hurray! It's always fun to get to a new decade! Hopefully the 170s will go quickly with the new I-Series. I'm dying to get them! Have a great week everyone. Heather

LAST EDITED ON Jan-07-03 AT 06:48AM (Est)[p]I dont' know if this will help, Miz D, but I subscribe to 2 recipe magazine - Quick Cooking & Light & Tasty. I was in a slump, like you, with cooking the same old stuff all the time, and I got a lot of good, EASY, and healthy recipes out of these magazines. They have a lot of good grilling and beans recipes - what Men's Health would call "A Man, A Can and A Plan." Substitute "woman."

They may have a stockpile of these at your library. I'm a crock pot cooker, and make a batch of stuff to eat right now and to freeze. You could cook up a batch and freeze some in individual containers for those days when you don't want to cook for yourself.

Does that help?

Congrats on your loss! I know you'd been in a plateau. I switched to CTX myself this week, and I forgot how intense they were! It pays to mix it up, doesn't it?

Just Do It! :)

Heather: Congrats on your 2# loss! Wooo-Hoooo! And yes, every "decade" is a pleasant experience! :)

HB: As always, "thank you," and I'll check out those magazines. I'm always up for a new subscription for something "useful." I think I got a freebe of "Light & Tasty" once and found it very informative if I'm thinking about the right magazine. And, now I need to just go to Wal-Mart, get my crock pot and call it a day!
It seems it will simplify a lot of my "eating for 1" issues.
