*** Watercoolers Weekend Sleepover ***

Good Morning!

Just getting us started. No sleepovers here. Leaving in a bit to practice massaging dh at Patti's house. Will be back to post later for catch up personals.

Morning,
No workout for me this morning, took the time to get a little extra sleep. Maybe tonite if I have time, will throw in a fun one like SJP or Supersets. Need to go shower now and get ready for out of town golf trip. Sooooooo looking forward to it!

Wendy, I bet Phil LOVES being the subject of study. I know my DH would, especially when the subject is massage.

Prayers and hugs going out to Traci, that hurricane is doing a number on Houston.

BBL,

Hi there ladies....Just dropping by for a quick hello...I am headed off for a little siesta since I just finished my psych test and got a 100! :D At least that is done for this week. :p I need to get a little rest so that I can be perky for tonight and tomorrow's adventures! If I have time later this afternoon, I will be back for a quick chat.

I did end up doing CTX KB yesterday...just the cardio, not any of the weights or abs. I am hoping to get in willPower and Grace this afternoon before heading down to Charlotte...we'll see...LOL!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend with lots of fun and family time!!

Yes, I was thinking of Traci too, hope she's ok.

Debra WTG on the 100% Have fun on your trip!

Jeanette Enjoy the golfing trip!!

Just finished Circuit Max, going to head over to my sister's so the kids can play and we can chat after lunch. This morning I took ds to football practice as they were doing team pics, they presented him with a football that the whole team had signed! Aww! :D We were very touched!

Kim

I just finished massaging my next door neighbor around 10:30. I wanted to practice some tips I learned today while working on dh. So, on the spur of the moment, dh asked our neighbors if they wanted a massage. Tomorrow evening I'll work on my neighbor's dh since my test body will be a man. Anyhow, I massaged her for 2 hours straight.

Kim... How sweet! I'm sure your ds appreciated the football. How's he healing?

Debra... Congrats on the A+!!!!:) Have a drink for me tonight. Dh and neighbor's dh didn't leave me a beer!!!!

Jeanette... You should see Phil after a 2 hour massage. He looks drunk!!! He can't even drive after getting one because of all the endorphins going through his body. How was your golf trip? Are you still missing the Captain?

Well, I am exhausted. Talk to you all tomorrow!!!

Sweet Dreams!
Wendy

Hi fellow Coolers,
I had a GREAT time today golfing. Nothing for the record books, but I did have one hole where you have to hit over a large pond and land on the green. Out of our foursome, I was the only one that did it and I parred the whole in 3!!! High point of the day. They all called me a sandbagger! Of course, the next hole was a 10 so not consistent. My drives were good and long and with good contact. Need to keep working on the putting. My GF had never played at this course and absolutely loved it. We will definitely be coming back here before winter hits. We got teamed up with a couple older guys, but it worked out fine and they were nice and not too gung ho. A fabulous day.

I came home, took a nap, got up and did a circuit premix from Step, Jump and Pump. This DVD is probably my favorite of all that I own. Guess it's the music. I love the working chest section and music. It's a real feel good workout for me.

Wendy, I thought of you while I was doing my workout tonite. I usually work out in the mornings and feel pressured to keep on a schedule so I'm not late for work. It was really nice not to have anyone home (though I miss DH) and I could relax and enjoy my workout tonite. A 2 hour massage for your neighbor??? Do they pay you for that? Are you trading babysitting time for it? What type of massage did you do on your neighbor? Do you prefer to massage a muscular person or a more fluffy person? My massage person once told me my fascia was loose. Not sure if that's good or bad. I think that was the term she used.

Debra, another great job on your psych test!! WTG! Have a blast in Charlotte!!

Kim, what a nice thing the team did for your DS. Sounds to me like he is well liked by his teammates. My golf trip was wonderful!!!

Tomorrow morning is the group bike ride. I haven't ridden with them for a few weeks, hope I can keep up! Think I will scrape the peeling paint on the foundation above the new pavers. Maybe paint it too. DH kept commenting on it so he would be pleased to find it painted when he returns. I've tried to call DS out there in Wyoming, but guess they don't have cell service. I always think of Wyoming as where the antelope roam. Hope they see some roaming elk and have a successful hunt. DS would be on top of the world for sure.

Talk to you all in the morning,

Jeanette... The longer you play, the more consistent you'll get. Awesome hole... even though I don't have any idea what you're talking about! par, sandbagger, etc...:D I'll have to learn golf lingo. Now, just don't go taking up tennis. I never learned how the point system works for it too!!! The only reason I learned about football was a hot ex boyfriend explained it to me like I was two instead of twenty!:D Apparently, not knowing didn't hurt me in my cheerleading days.:D:D:D I didn't charge my neighbors. I need to practice for my test. I worked on her a little longer... added extra stroke. She goes for deep pressure massages once in awhile. But, she could really benefit from monthly Swedish massages to get the fluids moving. After my test, I won't be giving free massages. I won't charge a huge amount... but they won't be free.

Okay, I need to hunt down some Sudafed Sinus.

Hi to All who follows!!!
Wendy

Back from the Atlantic!

Hi All:

Had a GREAT vacation in Maine. We were at Popham Beach which is about 1hr north of Portland. Had a good mix of weather so no complaints. Went to Portland for a 2hr sailing cruise and even got a chance to try kayaking. I've been wanting a kayak for the cottage but want to try some out b/4 buying. Made some sand castles on the beach and of course shopping. Boy, do I like your DSW store. Bought 4 pairs of shoes for $100 and then spent $$ on children's clothes at Carters and the Children's Place. Got over to Cabelas for DH who went back on his own for a second look around. Well, all I can say we certainly helped the US economy!:D:D

I took some Slim in 6 and Slim Series with me so was able to w/o several times. Needed it to make up for all the Coolers/wine and Ben & Jerry ice cream I had:D:D

Only got home around 4pm so just getting ready now for the work week and all the laundry that needs to be done.:(

Won't catch up on the previous weeks post but hope everyone had a good one.

Debra - WTG on the 100% I bet you were a Browner in school;) .What's happening in Charlotte - must be exciting if you have to prepare

Wendy - see you've got the neighbour to practice on. Are you warning her in advance of the charge after your're certified? Is DH getting a commission for any patients he brings you?

Kim - how is DS doing with his leg these days? That was awfully sweet of the team to autograph the FB. Has he been able to go watch the games?

Jeanette - WTG on the Par 3. I'm sure the memory from that whole will keep you on cloud 9 for a while. Is DH away on a trip for awhile? You're so sweet to re-paint the wall while he is gone. DH always says he doesn't understand why I need to w/o as he can always find something physical at the cottage to do. Hmm, manual labour or stepping to Cathe. She wins everytime! Have fun on your bike ride tomorrow.

Hi to Laurie and everyone else popping in. I'm off to get settled in bed.

Good Evening Ladies,

Well, I got a workout. It wasn't MM. I'm sorry Kim, but I'm dropping out of the Sept. rotation. I just can't see myself massaging people with DOMS!!!! I'm going to have to figure out how to integrate working out into my schedule without it interfering with massaging people. This quarter finishes on the 22nd. So, I'll do weight workouts between quarters, and access where I'm at when classes start again.

I finished massaging my next door neighbor's dh around 8:30. It was his first massage EVER! He LOVED it!!!!:) It was a great confidence booster. I really needed to hear the praise. After the massage, he had that same relaxed, glazed eye look that my dh gets. It made me feel so good that he enjoyed it. I'm going to practice on each of them next week. I want to be prepared for my massage practical test.

Patricia... So nice to have you back home safe and sound. Thanks for helping our economy. :) It sure felt like I helped yours during the Eoin workshop.:) How did you like kayaking? Kudos to you for working out on vacation! No worries... I told them tonight that I'm going to start charging people after my test on the 22nd. I'm only charging $20 an hour plus tips for people who come to my house. I don't mind going to neighbor's homes, but I don't want to drive. I'll start charging more the more experience and education I get. My neighbor already informed me that he was my new client.:D As for after I graduate... I haven't decided what I'll do. I do know that I enjoy working for myself rather than other people. I might work for Patti once she goes independent. She'd be a cool boss. I don't want to work more than 6 to 10 hours a week.

Okay, I'm going to play around and try to fall asleep early.

Have a great night everyone!!!

Wendy

Just finished my 45 minute run (instead of cycling) and Core Max. I didn't quite finish CM because my asthma was really bugging me from the run. Have to go find my puffer so very quick post for me!

Glad to see Patricia back!! Sounds like you had a great time! DS is doing a million times better, he sees the orthopaedic surgeon tomorrow, I'll be happy to hear an update!

Wendy- DO NOT worry about dropping the Sept rotation! You are one busy lady!

Jeanette How was the bike ride? Did you get in contact with DH and ds??

Kim

Couldn't fall asleep. UGH!

Kim... Did you find your inhaler?!?!?! I have to say, 45 minutes of running would make me borrow your puffer!!! Give us an update on ds after his appointment. Hope he's healing well!!!

Jeanette... Loose fascia is a good thing! Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds our bodies and muscles. She was probably referring to your superficial fascia. My superficial fascia is loose too... except for my calves. I tend to hold fluids in my lower body. I prefer to massage people with loose fascia regardless of weight/muscle mass/adipose tissue. It's easier to feel tight or loose muscles. I think it's easier to FIND muscles with looser fasica.

Debra... Did you make it home safe and sound? Tell us all about your sleepover weekend when you get a chance.

Okay, I've got to get some sleep. Mondays are busy days.

Sweet Dreams!

Evening,
Today's group bike ride had 4 of us out on a beautiful morning. Weather was perfect! We did 30 miles, stopping for coffee 1/2 way. We've planned a ride for next Sunday around the local lake. After getting back from the ride, I took a little nap, then got up and scraped and painted the foundation blocks on the house, above the new pavers. Looks nice and DH will be pleased. Didn't do much more than that, besides folding some clothes, visiting with my parents who dropped by and going to the grocery store for a few things. Tomorrow I plan on hitting another out of town golf course that's pretty laid back (and cheap).

Wendy, so I've got good superfacial tissue? I think it's awesome that you've gone after your desire to learn massage and are loving it and finding it rewarding. Know you will be very successful in the future. When do you become a full fledged massage technician or whatever the name is?

Kim, sorry you had the asthma attack today. Hope it's all better now. I've tried to call DS and DH, but guess they are out of cell phone range.:(

Patricia, I'm glad you're back. We missed you here. There is a Cabela's in Reno (80 miles from here) so DS and DH get their fix. Right now, they are in Wyoming, archery hunting for elk. Actually, DS has the elk tag, DH is just there for company,...and provide the camp trailer....and truck....and generator....and, and.... LOL! I really hope they have a great time. So did you like kayaking? Are you going to buy one for the cottage? I tried it once and it was nice. And thanks for helping out our economy. :)

Hope everyone sleeps well tonite. Been thinking of Traci and her house in Houston. Think they are safe, but last I heard the ceiling was falling in due to roof water damage. My prayers are with her.
