***Watercoolers, Thriving Thursday***

Cathlete
Morning ladies,
Sorry I didn't post last night, my internet connection was not working for some reason.

Tracy, (((hugs))) to you. Your FIL's struggle is over. Your family has been through so much. My heart goes out to you at this time. Hope you have many good memories of your FIL. I was sorry I couldn't post last night to you. (((hugs))) again, my friend. I'm glad he could be home before passing. That was good that my GM never had to go to a facility. She didn't want to either. Sorry about no out west trip this year. We're also passing up going to the coast of Oregon. Maybe next year.

My golf game after work was very relaxing and fun. It started out pretty smoky as we have another forest fire that kicked off day before yesterday. Hope the wind direction is different today. It was very smoky yesterday, but had lifted by the end of our game. Enjoyed it thoroughly with my girlfriend. Today is bank and grocery shopping with my DH after work. Then on to working in the back yard.

Laurie, don't even try to catch up on the threads. Just glad you are on now. Can't wait for your avatar to be posted. I posted mine from my computer, not from Picture Trail so it was super easy. I know years ago when I was foxhunting, you sure didn't want the hounds chasing a deer because they could be gone for hours and hours and the whole foxhunt would be wrecked from that.

Debra, glad you got that laundry all caught up. 10 days of vacation....ahhhhhhh! Calgon, take me away.....!!! Father Tony has a big cast on his hand. He broke it in April, tripping over a sprinkler at home. I tease him about hitting the sacramental wine bottle too much. Anyway, he broke the bone, ripped the tendon away. It was a mess. Took him a long time to get into a surgeon. Finally go surgery about 3 weeks ago, but has had problems with infection. He's out of the golf loop for the summer for sure. He's hoping this fall to pick it up again, but I'm thinking it may not happen then. No shoveling has been done yet. DH has a backhoe so he's been using that for the rough work. The shoveling will come later. I assured him that I will help him from now on to the end of the week. I just had some er...obligations until now. We are going to Reno on Saturday to buy the pavers. Exciting stuff! Glad you are using the treadmill. Do you have Cardio Coach? Great workouts those are too.

Patricia, you sound better, thank goodness. Yep, the golf swing was better tonite with the lesson being applied. Of course there were the occasional "oh crap" comments. Something very satisfying in the ball coming off the sweet spot of the club or the bat, isn't there? We're not supposed to do personal stuff on our computers at work. I try to limit it and won't be posting to Cathe's site from work. However, I do browse... Hope your day isn't too frantic today. A Friday off sounds wonderful, must do it again sometime myself.

Okay, my workout this morning will be a full body weight work. Not sure what yet.

BBL,

Jeanette

Wendy, gusting crosswinds going downhill on a road bike scare me too. The winds we had day before were just a constant light crosswind so no scariness involved, just work. Okay, you are looking older lately, maybe 27, tops. I didn't get the recipe for the pie yet, but will remind her by the end of this week or beginning of next.

Morning Coolers

This mornings workout was P90X Total Body Plus.

Tonight we are going to church, and then my youngest gets to decide where she wants to eat dinner. Since she is the only one around she gets to pick today.

As you can see DH came through for me with the Avatar. Glad I had a nice pic from faire to put up. :)

Jeanette, Glad you golf game was fun. Our season for VB is almost over, we just have 2 games left. Don't know what we are in the standings, but we will find out before Tuesday. We are into the tournament action now. I find this funny since it is only a rec league. :D I was glad Cami came back as quick as she did. DH and I where talking about what we would do if she didn't come back. That was the day we where going to head back home. We would have had to leave her. Guess we learned a leason on that day.

Wendy, LOL about being a bad mother. ya right!! Not remembering a e-mail address is something I would do to. Yep I still am plugging away at the Plus workouts. I think they are great, and I am really reluctant to stop using them. Your family, Debra and the Diva are going to have a great time.

Debra, I really don't know what Cami would have done with the dang deer if she just happened to catch it. DH and I could hear her barking in the distance. I just kept calling her name. Gave up after about 20 min. It wasn't funny to see her trotting into the driveway of the cabin like there was nothing wrong. I just felt relief that she was still with us. Dang dog! I think she will give me a heat attack before my girls do. :D

Patricia, When I first started P90X I got a cold to. Must be the fact that your body is working so hard, your system doesn't have a chance to keep up. Do you like Tony? Or is he just a big PTA! :D Enjoy your day today, bet it well be quiet.

Have to get ready for work!

Laurie

Laurie, love the new Avatar!!! You are beautiful and glowing in it! Have a nice time at church and then dinner out. DH's birthday is Saturday and we're going to Reno to buy some construction materials. However, don't think he wants to linger there and go to dinner. Darn. Outback sounds good to me, or Macaroni Grill or something. It'll probably be a quick stop at a 7-11 for a Mtn. Dew and some jerky if it's up to him. Our Shorthair stays pretty close around the house most of the time now, but when she was younger, she'd take off for up to 10 minutes, running after birds or rabbits or whatever. Was a pain and always seemed to happen right when you wanted to go somewhere.

BBL,

Jeanette

Tracy I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL. This was sure a stressful year for your family with all his ups and downs. Hoping you're getting lots of support from the people around you. Thanks for letting us know.

Well, I have today and tomorrow off work. I had planned this as I was going to spend Thursday ripping out the basement carpet and Friday the new carpet was supposed to come. It was perfect timing to do it when ds was at camp so it wouldn't bother his asthma. But of course the carpet isn't in yet  DH is at work so just me and dd on a rainy day with no plans except a hair appt this evening. Not sure what we'll do.

Laurie Love the new picture!! Don't worry about catching up on the threads. Really not much happened as everyone was busy playing with the new website. What's your dd doing in PR? Good for you for sticking with the + rotation. I finished week 5 and then took a few days off because I hurt my back and seriously thinking of not finishing the rotation.

Debra I wasn't that impressed with Wall-E. I thought the same thing that it would be hard for little ones to figure out. DD said it was okay but I did notice lots of restless kids in the theatre. Good for you doing all the running, I haven't ran for a couple of weeks. I did buy some new running shoes and only have 30 days to return them so need to try them soon to make sure they're okay.

Patricia Glad to hear your starting to feel better. Hopefully the weather will be nice for the long weekend! I do get Monday off. I only work parttime (.75) so Thurs/Fri are just non paid/non work days so it is a nice long weekend especially with no carpet to work on! We're heading to the cottage on Sat am and will pick up ds on the way :D:D Now I'm starting to feel like too much free time, LOL, I agree with you dumb tv shows, enough housework, I enjoyed my few days off and now ready to get back into my daily workouts.

Jeanette Tell me about this project that you are doing. Is it a patio or a driveway?? Father Tony's injury sounds like a big one, hope he heals quickly!

Kim

Kim, Oldest dd is in PR on a mission trip with our church youth group. They left Sunday morning and are returning on Saturday. I have missed her a lot, but I know she is doing something that will make her a stronger person.

Laurie

Hi!

Hi all!! Just stopping by for a quick hello!! I have been running errands all morning...and I still need to pack myself for my trip...and the Diva has brought down some dolls and animals to bring, so I must find a place to stuff those too. It's a good thing that my flight doesn't leave until almost 3:00...that will give me plenty of time to rush around in the morning...LOL!

CBL and I had a good, but late night last night...He is hurting a bit at work today...Lucky for me I can take a little siesta!! :) In fact, I am heading to do that right now...I am sure I will get side tracked a bit with the packing, but that should still give me plenty of time for a quick nap and an upper body workout this afternoon.

Back later to catch up with personals....but I have to say to Laurie...I LOVE the new avatar!! What a beautiful picture of you!!! :D

Okay, ladies...back later on for a little more chatting!!

Hi Ladies,

It's been a busy day here. Couldn't fall asleep last night due this lower back pain I've had since TTOM. So, I did the warm-up and first combo of BM2 and Shoulder ^^ in the middle of the night. It helped my back to relax enough to fall asleep.

Woke up late and made a dash for Patti's house. I only had time to practice massage and not get one. I should have gotten one, but I wanted to practice so bad. This time I practiced on Patti's friend, who is also a massage therapist, while Patti helped me with my body mechanics and techniques.

I still have a lot to pack!!!

Debra: The girls are so excited to meet you both and go to the beach. Eldest dd has been counting down the days! Did CBL lift something heavy? Wow! Has it already been a year?!?! It seems like ya'll have only been dating for 6 months. Congrats on the year anniversary!!!

Laurie: LOVE the new avatar!!! Isn't the new forums so nice! What's the purpose of your dd's mission trip? My gf, the twins' ex music teacher, is on a year long mission trip in the Philippines teaching music. Where did your dd pick to get dinner? Have you considered lo-jacking Cami? I heard on the news about a dog that was found years later because he had one of those chips. The dog needs to be scanned since it's not a gps chip. Don't know why it took so long for the dog to get scanned.

Kim: What a bummer about the carpet. Will they have it installed before your ds comes home? Love getting my hair done. Enjoy!!! Has your dd watched Penelope yet? The girls and I watched it On Demand a couple of nights ago. Very sweet movie.

Jeanette: What's the word on when the fires will be quenched? Do they usually end at the end of summer? Glad you enjoyed the golf despite the smoke. LOL on the obligations!!!

Tracy: I hope you and the family are doing better. Is your dh in charge of making arrangements? Sorry about your trip out west not happening this summer. I remember you all having a nice time last year.

Well ladies, I need to get some things done around the house. Off to read the forums and start packing.

Wendy

Evening,
DH and I didn't get any yardwork done tonite, errands in town instead, then BBQ'd with my DB and me preparing a chili relleno casserole for DH to take to work in the morning. I did make some time to vacuum, mop and do a couple loads of laundry, but only after taking the time to practice my golf swing in the front yard with some whiffle balls.:D

Kim, sorry it didn't work out about the carpet. Hope it comes in soon and you can cross that task off of your list. How was the hair appointment? The project in the back yard is a patio. We also want to rip out our old deck and put in Trex. That's not cheap either, but we want no-maintenance. Surprise about that, huh? Poor Father Tony, I'm sure he never thought that his finger would be such a pain and hang on so long.

Debra, hope your international airport wasn't too too crowded this afternoon:p. Know you will have a fabbo time! Congrats on your anniversary with CBL! Has it been that long, wow!

Wendy, sorry about your back pain. Hope it doesn't disrupt your trip at all. A lot of the fires are out, but some are still going. A new one just started a couple days ago and it sure sent the smoke into our area yesterday. Today, however, was fairly smoke free. Just depends on the wind direction I guess. It's been a bad fire season, so dry out here. The last years have found fires going even in the winter, just so dry. We need the moisture you get back east.

Well, must get ready for bed soon.
