Wanna chat at 12:30pm Eastern time today?

Can we ask specific questions about STS? I'm dying for details. :) And I promise I won't hold you to the answers - just wondering what's being considered.

Any pull ups / chin ups? These were SO hard for me when I was doing my P90X rotation, but WOW did they do great things for my arms and back, and what a great sense of accomplishment to jump up to a branch on a tree and pump out a few on a random summer day. I'd LOVE to see you incorporate these into the STS program.

It looks as if the series will have a strength building bent to it, as opposed to endurance building - is that the case? As it's difficult to lift really heavy for legs at home, how will legs be worked?

Thanks much!

Came back to say that I LOVE the "SERIOUS" picture! Waaay cool!

Hi Cathe, I am home for lunch and just wanted to say hi!

Your new series is fabulous! I have been working out with you and the crew for about 8 or 9 months now, and I have dropped about 15 pounds and gained so much muscle -- I am in the best shape of my life.

My birthday is in January, and I have asked my fiance to bring me up to Glassboro to take a class with you as my b-day present. I will send you a PM or something closer to that time to see if you will be around -- sounds like you might be really busy with the new filming!

Take care, and have a great weekend!

Hi Cathe! I just want to say how excited I am about this new series. You never cease to amaze me! When my husband is in from offshore he works out with me often, especially when I do your weight workouts. This new series is going to be great for both my husband and myself. This is the most excited i've been about a new series! Thank you so much for going above and beyond. You're the best.

You kicked my but yesterday with Body Max 2 & Bonus Abs on B&G. That ball really has endless posibilities!

Can't wait for STS! When I seen that picture of you on the blog I was very scared and excited at the same time. It sounds like it will be an evolution to your collection and I am glad to see every step along the way in your blog.

Eagerly awaiting STS in Regina, SK, Canada!

Hi Ly10up! Sorry that I don't have that thread pulled up right now, but if you look into it, I believe Chris addressed this in more detail in a cardio based question a couple of days ago. But for now I can tell you that the future STS cardio workouts will follow along the principles of the STS system :7

Cathe,

I'm really looking forward to these new workouts! Will Brenda be well enough to participate in them? I will really miss her if she's not there!

Janet

Happy Friday, Cathe!!!!

Cathe:

I am loving the 4-Day Split and your November rotation! :) This my first Cathe rotation, and the way you added stretch and rest days is making this series even more enjoyable for me. I started Sunday morning and enjoyed the HIS cardio premix for my optional cardio party this morning. Fun, fun, fun! :7

I am excited about the upcoming STS workouts. I love the thought of having a series designed by you for results! I am having fun while I can because it sounds like the party will be over when STS arrives. Cathe, I hope YOU are not too serious in the STS workouts. I am ready for serious workouts, but your warm and encouraging personality is what inspires me to push myself. You look kind of intimidating in the blog picture. ;-) LOL! I love your personality in the 4-Day Split, and I am already using heavier weights than I thought I could! I may need 30-pound weights soon! Please stay sweet and fill up with warm fuzzies before you start filming! :)

Have a blessed weekend! You can count on me to keep you in my prayers through this whole process as I can only imagine how demanding this will be for you. Enjoy the journey! It will be my delight to support you through another preorder even if it is a long one. Love and Heather hugs to you! :*

P.S. I am still dreaming about Rhythmic Step 2!!!! :7

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hi Mspina! I can't get too into specifics just yet however I agree....I LOVE pull ups and do them here at the gym. Nothing works the back like a pull up/chin up.

Yes, the program is overall strength based for sure :)

RE: Happy Friday, Cathe!!!!

Thanks for the 4DS series...the best thing for me so far has been that I am able to lift heavier in other Cathe favorites! I have progressed w/ this series in a relatively short period of time! THANKS! I am always inspired by you and enjoy ALWAYS having a friendly workout partner when I get home from work...
Looking forward to any/all projects you do. & being green when I see your muscles. It's fun to watch how you and your crew have all changed throughout the videos we own! Do you ever look back and giggle?
How is Brenda!
Thanks for all the inspiration --- Kari

RE: Happy Friday, Cathe!!!!

Hi Robin! I'm fantastic thank you and I hope you are well too. The crew is great. I just touched base with them all and everyone sounds happily busy. Brenda is doing great with her rehab and right on schedule with her recovery.

The STS program is based on periodization which is a meat and potatoes concept in the fitness industry. Our company's motto has always been to bring a health club workout to the home exerciser. We have been developing this concept for over a year for our audio download project but I have now also decided to put our STS periodization concept on DVD.

Thanks for asking :)

RE: Happy Friday, Cathe!!!!

Periodization is a tried and true method of training, congrads and kudos to you Cathe for bringing it back!:) I used this system of training when I was bodybuilding at the gym, and yep, it works! I cannot wait to order your new series! An at-home training system like this is just what I need. I like P90X (mostly cause Tony's pretty hot) but I turn to you everyday to get me through another tough workout, you and your gals are like old friends. My workout space looks kinda like a "Cathe" shrine at this point.

Thanks for your dedication and for all you do. Give Brenda our best wishes along with the rest of the crew. :7 :7

Hi Liz 66! The American Council on Exercise , ACE, states that muscle mass declines with age, resulting in decreased muscular strength and endurance. For each decade after the age of 25, 3 to 5 percent of muscle mass is lost. This is due to changes in lifestyle and decreased use of the neuromuscular system. Your genetics will also play a big role in just how fast or how much your muscle declines. But don't let this discourage you because studies have also proven that no matter what age you start, even in your 90's, improvements are gained with a balanced exercise program, especiaally weight training. And if you were exercising all along through the years, your results will be even greater.

Take Care!

Hi Cathe-

Was never able to time a chat right before. Thanks for the great new workouts.. the bootcamp was especially refreshing. My son has been stacking 4 blocks at one side of the room and running back and forth right along with me.

RE: Happy Friday, Cathe!!!!

Hi Cathe,

I hope you are doing well and pacing yourself.

I encounter so many people who don't consider the convience of home workouts because they don't realize the variety of offerings. When you filmed the 4 DS was the NFL crew surprised at the level and quality of your workouts?

Also, other than your vast field experience and ACE certification, what classes, courses, training, or certifications have helped you the most in designing your workouts?

You have encouraged me and assisted me in my fitness program so much over the years. Thank you for the motivation :D .

Hi Marcy! As mentioned earlier, I can't give out specifics yet but thank you so much for sharing your progress with 4DS and your overall exercise program. I love it when one is committed and works hard :)

Hi Cathe!!!
So nice to hear from you!!! AND thanks for the update on the next project!!! WOW!! Where do you come up with this new stuff?

Anyway - I was just emailing with Debbie H. and she told me you were on here.

I'm going to Dublin Ohio on Sunday to get my Zumba Certification for teaching!!! This will open up a bunch of new doors for me including a wellness program development where I work!!! I'm way too excited....AND NERVOUS.

Hope you're doing well!!
