Voice dubbing on BB!

Anybody else notice certain parts of certain BB workouts have Cathe's voice dubbed over? At times, her mouth moves, but she doesn't talk, or she says something different.

When doing the one legged lunges with back leg on the ball in push/pull (or is it supersets?), Cathe SAYS that there's more balance challenge with your "back foot on the step" (what her mouth moves to say), but the soundtrack very smoothly says "back foot on the ball"! Then, when there's a side view (right after Cathe seems to be about to lose balance setting up the exercise for the other side), her mouth is moving, but she's not saying anything!

Also, in one of the step segments on one of the wokrouts (sorry I don't remember which, but that gives you guys something to watch for!). Cathe says something, and part of it in the middle is missing from the soundtrack. It's very smoothly done (no sounds like there was some sound problem) so it was obviously done on purpose. It just makes me wonder what was removed!

Is this the end of Cathe misspeak?

Yes I noticed it. It happends alot on all of the videos. It seems to happen a lot more in this series than in the other ones. I guess things that sound good at the time, just don't sound right when they are doing the editing.

Gosh, I've never noticed this!

I'm not looking closely enough, I guess -- where are there sound bloopers on the other series, anybody???

The only thing I've noticed is on Supersets, which I happened to do yesterday. Anybody else notice this -- It's when Cathe and most of the crew are getting ready to do the seesaw triceps. Cedie is setting up to do the substitution move (kickbacks). Cathe says something which finishes with what sounds like "... she's setting up to do." And from the visual context I saw what she was saying, but the sentence just cut in midstream. I re-ran my DVD to check to see if it had skipped, but the timer ran smoothly through so it appears to be a part of the edit.

P.S. -- These are nits to me, not issues. Sorta like finding continuity problems in a movie, which is always fun but doesn't take anything away from the enjoyment of the movie. I don't mean to sound whiny here AT ALL!!!

I notice on I think it is Push/pull where you have 1 leg back on the ball doing the bicep but when she goes to put the other leg on the ball there is no sound for a few seconds. Maybe they cut something out. I also notice to Katheryn where the sound is off with her voice is a little off in some sections. Well it really doesn't bother me anyway.

Yes, I've noticed it too. I think because in this series, Cathe's voice and the music were 'recorded' on separate tracks, it was very easy to dub her voice if she 'misspeak'. The reason for the separate tracks is for the vocal only option (and music louder). Therefore, I think, there were a lot of 'corrections' made since it CAN be corrected... which does not bother me.

If you remember, in C&W, Cathe mis-cued in the last cycle of the 3rd segment (I think). This could be easily done if the music and her voice are recorded separately.

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't "bother me" (except maybe the parts where her mouth is moving and there's no sound). I just wondered why it was done on this series and not on others. The "two track" explanation makes a lot of sense.

I'm always so busy concentrating and watching foot and arm moves on cardio and form on weights that I don't pay any attention to her mouth!!

I am listening to her however!!!:7 :7

I've actually noticed this on other videos of Cathe's, as well. I haven't memorized the spots where it occurs, but there are definitely parts in CTX, I believe during step portions.

I think it's amazing that Cathe can cue, work out at full intensity, come up with form pointers, and tell jokes without sounding winded. I can't imagine what kind of pressure that is to come up with new and interesting things to say for each workout. If newer technology makes it easier to take out the bloopers, more power to her! It doesn't bother me either way, since I'm usually never looking at the screen, and I kind of get a kick outta the bloopers... It makes me remember that maybe Cathe is only (super)human after all! :D
