Help! I could use some opinions on tapes - I have the Intensity and the Body Blast series but I'm always hearing good things about the CTX videos (especially Power Hour).
What's the concensus? Is it worth adding these to the library? I've basically gotten rid of all other videos except Cathe's and feel like I'm getting a great overall workout, but I'm always looking for more variations on serious cardio.

Power Hour is not a part of the CTX series; it was produced in 2001 (CTX produced in 2000), and is not a cardio workout but instead a muscle endurance workout along the lines of Body Pump. I have Power Hour on DVD but do not use it; many, many Catheites really enjoy it and derive good endurance benefits from it.

CTX is indeed a good addition to your video library; its mix and match possibilities both for cardio and strength training are endless. It has great mixes of hi/lo, kickbox and step as well as a great stand-alone (pardon the pun) leg strengthening workout (Leaner Legs, aka Meaner Legs) and 10-15 minute routines for each of the upper body muscle groups that you can do each day or group together for an extended upper body workout.

Hi Brenda, the CTX series is also tailored for those who only have an hour a day to work out. I don't have this DVD yet as it has more cardio in it than strength training, which I'm doing more of, but it's still in my wish list.:) Power Hour is a different workout. It's a muscular endurance workout that packs a lot of punch in just about an hour. It makes a great addition to your weight training rotations.

Brenda, I really like Power Hour! I also have the CTX series, although I admit I don't use it as often as the Intensity one, and now of course Body Blast. It's great though if you only have a short time in which to workout! After I finish this Intensity series/Body Blast series rotation I'm doing, I plan to put Power Hour into the rotation.

How would you compare something like Leaner Legs to Lower Body Pyramid or any other Cathe lower body workouts? Have you noticed a difference?
Thanks for the comments! Trying to figure out what should come next... I'm going to look at the CTX series right now.
