TTC/Preggers Week of May 25

Jen, Congrats on the healthy baby boy!!! How exciting? Our US is Friday and I can hardly stand the wait! Do you have a name picked out?

Trish - You look fab at full term! Your belly is beautiful! Mine looks like a purple zebra from all of the stretch marks I got with DD1! LOL!

This baby has been rockin' and rollin' tonight! You can WATCH my belly move! DD2 was like that in the womb early on and she's still a pistol. I'm in trouble!!!:7

Kate/Trish - You women look incredible! I have to get DH to take a pic when he gets back from his trip. I always say in the beginning how I'm going to document my pg this time, blah, blah, and then it doesn't happen. I do want to take belly pics this pg though.

Kate - I can't wait to hear what you're having!

Jen - Congratulations on your healthy baby boy!!!

Morris - How's things going at home?

Hi everyone else!!

Thank you ladies for all the advice on the pump. I am going to have DH pick it up and hopefully he'll be able to find it. I think I'm going to need it for the time saver. I can't imagine pumping one boob at a time with all the kids to tend to.

Okay so I went for a walk with my 2 kiddies today and it was very humid. My kids were complaining going up the hill saying, how much more uphill? I told my son that he's got to be kidding me. I'm pg and older than the both of them walking this hill! I think it was the heat that was getting to them more than anything. So needless to say the walk got cut short, but I will be pulling out something from my dvds to do later tonight. How many weeks was it before the baby moved consistently for you women? I feel the baby, but there are days where it's much more and like today, not so much. I know it's still early, but I love feeling the baby move and can't wait for it to become more consistent. Right now it's more here and there. Like I just felt the baby right now for a sec, but it's very random.

Lisa

Lisa, I hope you get your pump! Glad you got a walk in. That is precisely why I hate walks with my kids. They always want to go but 10 minutes into it they are whining like crazy!:) Well, DD1 not so much, but DD2 is a major complainer.:) As far as feeling the baby move... 16 weeks is when it started - very very light and totally infrequent. It's steadily gotten stronger and the last couple days have been oh my! Yesterday he/she was crazy! I loved it! Yes, that's my Cathe calendar! That pic was taken in my office which will be converted to the baby's room. I am beyond sad to lose my own little space in the house. Our finished basement is quite large and there's plenty of room for all of my office furniture (Bedford Collection from Pottery Barn - LOVE IT!) but I love the red walls and my decorations in there. I have a large desk exclusively for my scrapbooking in there and I can just shut the door when I have projects laid out. Now it'll be downstairs for little hands to grab! Wah, huh? Baby's kickin' right now!:D

Hope everyone has a good day!

Jen, How are you decorating Baby Boy's room?

Lisa~when we got my pump I bought it online from www.barewear.com and since it's a canada site the exchange rate made it cheaper for me to buy it there. I can't recall how much cheaper, but it was a good bit. I know the pumps are just about the same price no matter where you get it so when I discovered the exchange rate was in our favor I went w/ the canadian site. I am feeling my dd now daily. I usualy feel her after breakfast and in the evenings. In the last week it has went to consistantly each day feeling her. It's very reassuring. :) I remember I didn't feel my first son till well after 20 weeks so this is really nice!

I slept so well last night. I am hoping for a good run later today since I am so rested. We'll see.

Trish- Hello! Glad you slept well. Hope you get your run in!

I felt Baby moving while I was standing in the kitchen today. I've only felt it before when sitting down so this is sooooo reassuring. Getting bigger/stronger/growing. AH! I can't wait for my US tomorrow!!!

Kate~how exciting!! Are you thinking one way or the other?? I was almost 100% sure this one was a girl. We last DTD unprotected on a Friday and I didn't ovulate till Tuesday. They say the longer the cut off the higher the chance for a girl and so when I got that + test I just knew it was a girl. :)

I got a 4 mile run in.. felt pretty good. Idid have to stop and walk a small bit here and there. seems I get out of breath easier, but that could be the heat. I was getting up and running at 6am when DH was home and now I have been lazy and sleeping in and so I have to do my running in the afternoon and it is must hotter than at 6am. :)

Trish, Glad you got your run in. I'm still feeling kind of weak from being so sick so I might just stretch today. I think we're having a boy. We concieved the day AFTER I ovulated, which I thought was impossible. WRONG!!!:) We had been planning on DH getting a vasectomy soon so this was a real surprise. I couldn't be happier now though! I'm such a girly mom it's hard to imagine having a boy. Tomorrow if they tell me I'm having a girl I'm going to fall of the table from shock! LOL! Honestly, we want a healthy baby but if I could PICK I'd likely pick another girl. Likely becuase that's what I already have. I'm also dreading the circumcision issue if it's a boy. We'll do it but I feel awful about it. DH is adamant we do it. I can't find any boy room stuff that I like. Tons of cute girl stuff though! We are hot pink through and through!

better get the girls down for a nap...me too!

kate, hope you are feeling better! i love your pics - what a cute bump! lol about the stretch marks. while i do not have those, my varicose veins would make your stomach turn!! hope you feel stronger soon and get your nap in. i cannot wait to hear tomorrow! and thanks for catching my typo;) 6-8 is more reasonable. otherwise i may as well sign up to feed a small country.

trish, way to go on the run, and very cute pics too. i hate running in the heat but don't have to worry about it much up here in maine. i think i may have to stop running now as my hip flexor was killing me yesterday after 8 miles. i am afraid of injury, and i 'd rather be running again in 5 weeks. i am just grateful i made it 36 weeks.

jen, hope you are well. i love cardio fusion and do mix and match every week or so. i also love the weight work and do that often. do you think you'd like the shorter workouts post baby? while i admit ido not do the step stuff much, i think it might be useful eventually.

lisa, hope you are feeling well and doing okay with the heat. how hot and cool does it get in hawaii?

hi anne, hi kristan, hi maggie.

i had a terrible night last night. abdominal pain, like i did 1000 crunches! i was not going to workout due to that and the hip pain, but i could not sleep and started slowly moving around. ended up doing asc2 and felt better by the end. i will be tempted to try running again in a few days but will try hard to abstain as i think it will only make things worse. hope this baby comes soon!!

Morris ~was that typo?? 8 miles at 36 weeks?? I know how you feel about being antsy to run. That is one of my worries that I'd be put on bedrest or something and not be able to workout. I guess it just helps me keep my sanity. I truely enjoy a good workout and running is just the ultimate high. :) Do you have an indoor pool that you could so some swimming in?? That might be really good at this point for your hip. I think you rock to make it till 36 weeks running. I stopped shortly after 30 weeks the last time due to it being incomfy. I hope to go a bit longer this time with the running.

Kate~I think I have heard that you have a higher chance for a girl if you dtd after ovulating. Not sure the reasoning on that one though. We also were not trying. Since I am so regular we have always just used protection during my fertile times. I have always gotten pregnant the day before I ovulated and it took 12 months to get my first son and then 8 months of charting and timing it to get my DD. My second son it was on the first try, but the day before I o'd. Then this time it was like I said before with a huge cutoff and we used condoms up till I o'd. DH said as far as he knew one never broke so I guess it was from that time. I do believe all things happen for a reason so we are thrilled. I told DH what can 4 do to us that 3 didn't? LOL Did you get your nap? I just took an hour nap. It seems this time I am more sleepy and once I get my nap then I have tons more energy.. it comes in spurts so I have to take advange of the energy when it comes.

Well I gotta work on dinner because my oldest has karate tonight. Thankfully the karate place is right beside a nice walking trail in own town. I usually drop him off and me and the other 2 walk on the trail or my dd rides her bike there. With gas the way it is there is no sense driving back home just to go back an hour later.

Morris, I sure wish I was feeling better! I was this AM but I think I did too much and I feel terrible again. Everything's staying in but I can't tell if I'm having Braxton-Hicks or if I'm starving or nauseous. This stinks!! Sorry about the veins. In the drs office I used to work at a lady had them on her legs terribly. It looked like she got stuck in a blender. Funny - I had really wierd ab pain the other day too. It had been a couple of days since I had worked core - wierd. Glad you got a good WO in.

Trish, Morris really does run that much! Amazing, isn't she?! I'd always heard that post-ovulation conception is a boy. Theory being that the egg is there and ready, and the male sperm are the fastest swimmers. they get there first and fertilize the egg. You guys use condoms?! Oh YUCK!!! I hate those things! We haven't used them in YEARS!!! Props to you guys! I kind of think I'd like 4 kids now, simply because there is 4.5 years between my youngest and this baby. Feels like Baby will need a playmate closer to his/her age. Have fun with your kiddos tonight!

Trish - I temped and charted to get pg with this one and it took me a little over a year. DH did buy the pump at Target and I'm glad he did because that saves me money on shipping.

Kate - I think I'm having a boy for the same reason as you. We'll see in five months! Good luck at your us!!

Morris - Today was a cooler day, but Hawaii is so random with it's weather. The humidity is what can get nasty. Sorry about the ab pain.

Hi everyone!

Work has been kind of stressful since my boss came back. I'm trying to unwind and not let it get to me. Anyway, went for another walk today and hoping to maybe do some MM. I haven't tried it yet.

Lisa

Lisa, Glad you got your pump! I'm excited for you that you're waiting to find out. I just can't!!:) Were in Hawaii for a vacation several years back. It rained once for about 10 min. and the rest of the time it was absolutley gorgeous. We were there in December. I'd love to come back. My fave place was Kaanapali Beach - wow!! I hope work issues are better. I'm sure the wlk was nice and you will LOVE MM when you get a chance to do it.

I am so excited about out ultrasound today I can't even begin to describe it. I could NOT get to sleep last night, even listening to my hypnobirthing cd didn't help!!! Baby was so wild last night too - like it could feel my excitement or something. It was moving around and totally shifting positions, not just kicking. It was great!

Have a great day!

Hi ladies. I think my period is late, so I took one of those super cheap tests a couple days ago & it was negative. This AM I did another one for kicks, and a faint second line. Hmmmmmm. These are those super-cheap (5 for $1 tests).

DH & I had sex ONE time last month. I've been tired & stressed with 2 mortgages and working so much. Now I find it almost humerous that it might have happened NOW almost 2 years after trying (and last 5 months ago NOT trying). We'll have to test with my accurate test later. Stay tuned....

Good luck Melanie!!!

A faint second line is still a second line!!!!:D

Our #3 was the only time we had sex that month too AND it was post-ovulation.

We'll be anxious to hear!!

melanie, i am screaming silently (at work now;-) ) please post often with updates!!!

kate, i am sosorry you still feel rough. but, the us is today and you all are in my thoughts all day. what time is your appointment? take it easy and get plently of rest. you made me laugh about number 4. i remember melanie mentioning a 4th shortly after her 3rd was born!!

trish, yes, i do run that much. i am going into withdrawl from not running, but this am i did kpc and bootcamp cardio only and felt almost fine. makes me tempted to try a run tomorrow, but i am forcing myself to wait until at least monday. i will be so mad if i get injured. no pool near me, and i only take time to exercise when ds is sleeping (earlyam or nap) as i work part time. dh is not home much either, so i do everything from my house.

lisa, hope you have no humidity until you deliver. we used to live in florida, and it would take a lot for me to get used to that heat and humidity now. hope work gets better. my day was really rough yesterday too. i am looking forward to sunday - my next day off. enjoy mm!

hi jen, hi maggie, hi kristan.

my friend just had a baby girl. she was due this sunday but went a few days early. she has a 3.5 year old son. i so want to have this baby soon. i know it will be tiring and overwhelming, but my hormones have been surging all week and i am so tired of feeling like a witchy weepy mess! bbl

Lisa~ how exciting to not find out! i am wayyyy to much of a planner to not find out. I also thought it would help the other kiddos bond better to know what we were having. So where are you in Hawaii? My dh went back into the Army and they asked him to pick 3 overseas places and he put Hawaii (military considers that overseas) as one place. We should find out in 3-4 weeks where we'll be stationed!

Kate~good luck today!! What time is the appt? I'll check back often to see if you have posted.

MElanie~ohh I always heard a line is a line. I have ttc many times and many many months taking tests and I never had a line that didn't mean I was preg. I hope this is it for you!! You know it really only takes 1 time! I seems impossible when you are trying so hard and not getting preg., but sometimes it is just 1 time.

Morris~wow I so wish I was still doing 8 miles. I am not sure what is going on, but I guess I am at an uncomfy stage. Maybe it's because I haven't fully popped out yet, but lots of weird pains and twinges and I get out of breathe.. it's so frusterating. I usually stick to 4-5 miles for running and even then I usually stop a small bit to walk and get my breath. Maybe once I pop out then I will breathe easier? I so miss my weekend long runs. I totally know what you mean on withdrawl from running. It could be humidity too like you mentioned to Lisa.. it has been humid here for the last week.. not used to that. I was running at 6am so maybe that is why I am having some trouble.. might have to go back to getting up at 6am to run. Those hormones will get you every time. Was your son early at all?

Well I got a 4 mile run in and I am going back and forth on lifting weights. I am gonna make the kiddos lunch and then decide. They love to watch me. My dd says mommy is that making you strong?? We'll probably go for a walk this evening at the trail. Now that it's nice I try to go most evenings just to get a little extra exercise in. We usually do 3 miles, but nothing super fast.. just walking while they ride their bikes. It also keeps them from fighting and messing up the house. With DH being gone and it being on the market it's hard to keep it tidy when they get all their toys out. LOL

Melanie!!! Ah!!!! A line is a line cheap test or not. I got a line from a generic stick then took two other with the First Response. I'm going to keep checking for an update from you!!!

Morris - You could be going any day now! How exciting!!!

Kate - Waiting for an update from you!

Trish - We're on Oahu which is the most populated island and really not real "Hawaii" like anymore. There's a lot of military out here. Funny that Hawaii is considered "overseas."

Okay sorry for the short personals, but I'm getting ready to take the kiddos to school and work. Just came on to check if Kate came back from her u/s. I'll bbl!

Lisa

yeah DH said Alaska and Hawaii are considered overseas since we have to fly to get there. We can't just drive our cars there. He did put down we prefer to stay here, but we'll see.

Waiting for an update from Kate!!

Thanks everybody for checking up on me!

We are having a GIRL! pinkpinkpink!!!!!!!!!!
THREE GIRLS FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!

I can hardly believe it. I am so excited. It seems impossible that it's a girl considering my ovulation date but I GOT MY GIRL!!!!!!!! Well, my third one, but WOW is all I can say. I am speechless. SOSOSOSOSOSO excited!
