TTC/ Moms to be Check in Jan 13

Maggie, I don't remember being pg together with last TWO? Did you do check in's with your 2 year old? Maybe I"m just forgetful. It would seem that if I do infact conceive soon, our 3 littlest will all be the same age. :) :)

Morris is an awesome shape, but if I remember correctly you also put me to shame. 6-7 workouts weekly and they were not easy workouts either. You were so determiined! Did you meet your goals?

Anne, that does sound scarey with you mom. It must be tough to have her in a nursing home. I'm sending prayers your way.

Autumn - You did peak my interest about the other methods then Anne posted! Hm...I know the strict rule about no other fluids, but never thought about a special condom. The human body is amazing and just how a baby is formed from one egg and one sperm is incredible!

Anne - I hope things with your mom go okay. My DH feels the same like he's expected to make a deposit and he's some kind of lab rat. Although, I've been lightening up a bit also. Let me know how you like the new dvds. I couldn't stick with P90X so I don't think I'll do well with her series either. I'm ADD in that sense.

Morris - You are amazing woman! 9 miles and pg! I cry doing 9 miles and not pg! Is your DH going to be scheduled to be home when baby is born?

Hi Melanie, Maggie!

I'm pretty certain I o'ed yesterday so I think I'm on my 2ww. I'll see where my temp goes tomorrow. I'm hoping this is the month since we had good timing and numerous occasions of good timing. Off to do Cardio Fusion. I don't think I'm going to preorder. We'll see.

Anne ~ I didn't know you didn't have the TCOYF book or I would have offered it to you too.... first come first serve. :) I'm sorry. Please know I didn't realize you didn't have the book.

I am sorry about your mom too and will keep her in my prayers.

Maggie, just let me know.

Lisa and Anne ~ my DH felt that way too. I did tell y'all I had a microscope on the kitchen table to check my CM, didn't I? Talk about a mad scientist. LOL! Seriously, it is very common for men to feel this way, and I'm not sure how to make them feel less like lab rats. Sadly, this is an area of TTC difficulty/infertility that isn't addressed, and it is a real issue.

Hi Melanie! Hi Morris AKA Superwoman! :)

hi everyone!

anne, i hope your mom feels better soon. will you be visiting her this weekend in wi? i am glad to hear you sound so relaxed, and the fact dh feels good makes things easier, doesn't it?

hi mel - hope you are enjoying that book. i just always felt so stuck b/c i couldn't get to square one (ie cycling).

hi lisa - are you getting the new series?

maggie, i bet you could run circles around all of us if you can manage your family life - i struggle with one sometimes.

autumn - how are things going?

hi jen, hi kristan!

i am currently almost 17 weeks. i had a white knuckled afternoon driving home in a foot of snow with ds - thank goodness for 4wd! i feel great today but did not sleep well, so i see a nap coming my way. anyone interested in amy's new dvd? it is a cia that sounds good. i think i will preorder. i guess sometimes my workouts do seem like a lot, but i just do what feels good at the time - somedays are better than others:)

Hi,
I have some sad news...My MIL passed away early yesterday morning;( . My DH and I are in our hometown trying to take care of things and give our support to his father (my FIL). She was only 57, and had suffered for a while, so this is hard.

All I have is sad news latley...hopefully that changes soon. I just wanted to quickly check in to tell you the news.

I will be back on, chatting more soon.
Take care!
-Jen
Morris-I can't believe you are 17 weeks already!!! It seems like just yesterday that you told us you were preg. Wow!

Melanie--Our pregnancies overlapped. Bardric was born in Sept. 2003 and Evangeline was born Jan. 2006.:)

Autumn--Anne can have the book or did I read she already bought it? It's not like I really need it right now. Maybe you should hang on to it for someone who really needs it currently.

Morris--I manage pretty well, if you use the term loosely:p

Jen--I'm so sorry for your loss.

Hi Lisa! Hi Anne!

Maggie:)

Jen - I'm so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Autumn - So did you drop a sample of DH's swimmers in your CM and check that out under the microscope?

Morris - I'm leaning toward no and waiting to see everyone's feedback. I would hate to spend all that money and not be happy with it.

Lisa

Lisa, If you decide you don't like Cathe, you can always sell it on eBay. Cathe really holds her value & if you buy in presale, you might even be able to MAKE $ on it. Just an idea, you already know I"m NOT buying b/c I hate strength training. :

Oh yes, Maggie. My memory is coming back. Mr B, do you still call him that? And I remember your daughter's name, beautiful. :) Thanks for jogging my memory.

Hi everyone. You guys are busy!

Jen, so sorry to hear about MIL. How is your husband doing?

Anne, hoping your mother does better. Is she in your town?

Lisa, your comments on IMAX are spot on. I curse at it, especially during the very long jumping interval (tuck jump?). It is a little boring AND hard.

Maggie, I too remember your well named children. Having lots of kids is a lost art! I think it's great. I'm going from 3 to 4 and I am shocked at the number people who tell me I'm "crazy" or ask if it was an accident. Perhaps it is a reflection of their own parenting insecurities. Why cannot people say, "congratulations" without the running commentary?

Melanie, hoping this is your month. I think you'll conceive in the next few months so you'll have another November or January baby.

My eating is still far from perfect, but much better. My sugar-freak cravings have subsided and I am much more eager to cook.

I got in a 4.5 mile run last week, a couple of shorter runs, a few trips to the gym, stepblast/rhythmic step mish-mosh, etc. Wound up with 5 decent workouts.

I am loving my new calendar. I know it sounds stupid, but I crave the reward of a sticker! I'm like a 3 year old.

Kristan
btw, I am 16+ weeks, due 7-4, and have 3 kids: Kay, 7, Audrey, 5, and Gus, 2.

Kristan--I totally agree about the running commentary. I never say to people, what, only 2 kids? Having any more? I figure what others do is really none of my business. But boy when you have a large family the things people think they can say. My husband had to tell his mom that yes, we do know how this keeps happening--LOL--It's not an accident.

I am feeling somewhat self-conscience for the first time ever.

Anne--any updates on your mom?

take care all,
Maggie

Kristan, I'm loving your idea of Dec baby. We'll see. Thanks for positive vibes.

I, too, have family issues w/additional babes. The funny think is both of our families had FIVE kids each, but seem suprised that we want a fourth. Does that make sense?

Autumn - I actually saw that you finished the book so wanted to order it and I was getting another book as well, so got a discount. Thanks for the offer though! I sometimes like to keep the book anyway to refer back to, so wanted my own. I got another one on hormones too.

Jen - I'm sorry to hear about your MIL. You're in my thoughts and prayers. That's got to be hard. Hang in there.

Hey Lisa! Yeah, I don't LOVE weights, but I do like to mix it up, so we'll see how the new series is. I too have never totally finished P90X, b/c it's hard on my knees, but hope to finish it one day. Good luck in the 2WW!

Hi Melanie - How are you lately! I think I saw you talking about your house the other day. Is the old one still up for sale? Any 'bites' on it lately or is it not on the market anymore?

Morris - Good job on the workouts! How's the pregnancy going?

Hi Kristan and anyone I missed!

Nothing new here. Heading back to WI and hoping the snow stops here long enough to get a good start on Friday. It should all be cleared up by then. Mom got her trach tube out today and back at the nursing home. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. They say the hole will heal on it's own and we just need to pray that the breathing issues don't come back now.

Well, off to attack DH before I leave for the weekend! }(

Kristan - Yes, the tuck jumps are brutal. I can't figure out what it is about IMAX3 that makes it hard for me to pull out. I like intense cardio, but that one is just....I don't know, I don't want to say too intense, but just too much jumping maybe? Wow, you're doing awesome with the workouts! You make me want to get a calendar too now - I want stickers to show my efforts!

Morris - I'm sorry DH has to leave again. That stinks, but I hope he'll be home for a good long stretch when baby arrives.

Maggie/Melanie/Kristan - Yeah, the whole concept of having 2 kids is plenty and everyone should think that bothers me too. I only have 2 kids and thought for awhile maybe I would just stop, but I would never expect EVERYONE to think that way. My dad has 9 siblings and my mom has 6 siblings. My FIL has 6 siblings as well and that's just a generation ago. The only reason why I personally decided not to go with the five children DH and I originally always wanted is because Hawaii is so darn expensive to live. We have been thinking of 4 lately, but I don't know because I'm getting older already and I'm not even pregnant with #3 yet! I worry about the middle child syndrome thing also.

Anne - Good luck! I never got through much of P90X either. I do like the Shoulders & Arms workout though. I'm glad your mom is doing better. How is your sister doing?

Hi everyone else!

I have yet to do my workout tonight. Tonight is cardio night since yesterday was weights, GS BSB. I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I'm officially on the 2ww. I o'ed on CD16 according to Fertility Friend. We'll see in 10 days!

Lisa

in following the imax dialgue, i must say, i love imax 3. i did it tuesday and know my days are numbered with it until after baby. maybe 1 or 2 more times i think. i used imax 2 thru 36 weeks and loved it. don't have the original. so my dilema is, should i get the ctx series? anyone have it or have recommendations? i am definately getting amy's new kickbox. i love kbx!

i think you ladies with 2 or more kids working on the next one are fantastic. how frustrating to hear from friends, family and strangers about what you should do with your family. silly, really.

kristan, great workouts! i am finding my bladder giving out on long runs. well, not giving out, but talking to me a lot!

lisa, my fingers are crossed for you

anne, hope you get some quality time with dh:)

melanie, how is your charting?

hi autumn, hi jen, hi all you lurkers!

today was a 9 mile run. i am hoping to squeeze in some abs later. it was so cold this morning (7degrees!) i only could do half my run outside. even the dog had icicles on her mouth and chest!

bbl

Lisa, I checked out FF. Are you a member then? If so, which membership option did you take?

Kristan, the only cardio thing I"ve had problems doing are terminators b/c I can't get off the ground and back to the air quick enough. I don't know if it's flexability (I never stretch) or just my body?

I remember like it was yesterday, a "know it all" neighbor made a bold statement that she was sure that I wouldn't be having anymore and that my #2 was our last one. Why would someone even come up with that conclusion? And these are ladies in their 50s and 60s who enjoyed much larger families. It's a curious thing, and it's so hard not to get insulted. I feel like saying, "Do you think we cannot handle another child?" or "Do you think we cannot afford another child?" When it really comes down to it, it just isn't their business! Ha Ha

When I was at Gym Jam the other day, there was a young mom with her 3month old. She was chatting with all of us, and then she made a matter of fact statement about her being sure that she would be having another baby way before her number 1 was 2 years old, "I'm sure I'll have another one before then anyway". I don't know why that statement hurt so much? Maybe it's b/c I was so sure that I wouldn't have any problems? You just never know!! Anyway, confessions from this over-sensitive TTC lady in MN! :D :D

melanie, you are so right in that one just never knows if they will easily get pregnant or not. my older sister got pregnant while on the pill. my little sister who is pregnant (5 weeks behind me)got pregnant her first month off the pill just trying once that cycle with no idea what fertility dates even were! i can understand why that woman's statement hurt your feelings. you try so hard for somethign you want so badly - it is emotional.

hope everyone is having a good week and looking forward to the weekend.

You know, I just had to pre-oder something. Soooooo, I preordered 2 Amy Bento's upcoming DVDs (I like her a lot). And also preorded a couple CIAs. There's my shopping spree!! Not too bad, under $60 for 4 DVDs with shipping.

Tracey is growing on me too.

I heard Charlene (Turbo Jam) will be releasing 18 new DVDs real soon. Best hold onto my checkbook!!!!!!!

Melanie--I always wonder at the confidence people have in conceiving. I just don't think it is something that can be taken for granted. I've never miscarried, but that doesn't mean I won't, so I try not to assume that all is okay.

As a mother of a child with Down Syndrome, it always hurts a little when people are so relieved that their child doesn't have it. It's purely emotional on my part. On an intellectual level I understand the relief, because since Malcolm, I've always been relieved not to deal with a serious birth defect again, but still....so anyway, I understand your emotional response---(((hugs)))
