Hello! Quick check-in. It was POWER HOUR MONDAY today! (I'm back from Carmel - nice trip - but there's no place like home.)
I met the lovely "LovingLife" from the ya ya site. She brought her cutie James (and dashing DH) downtown for about an hour. She's just what you would imagine - down to earth, funny, cute, and looking good post partum!
Debbie, beta blockers are probably not the first choice BP med for an active woman - but with your migraine history and the fact that they haven't ruled out your kidneys (renal artery stenosis) as a cause - a beta blocker is OK. If your kidneys are normal (and they will be) please ask your doc about an ACE inhibitor +/- a diuretic. The beta blocker does inhibit the heart rate. You are probably not able to get into the 85% zone to which you are accustomed.
