Tragic update

Cathlete
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support.
Unfortunately our dear friend Dr. Epple lost his battle for life this morning. We are saddened beyong belief at the loss, but happy that he has joined his beloved wife in heaven. Our community is suffering, our family and friends as well. We need to move on from this tradegy and insure that something positive comes from this loss. Both Nancy and Lawrence were only 54 years old, but lived a lifetime in their activities.
I am praying for peace for both of them and their families.
Thanks again
ellie

Ellie - I am so sorry to hear about what happened. I have been catching up on posts from the week and read you first post.

((((((hugs)))))

Ellie, I'm so sorry to hear this news. I have been following the articles in the paper. I grew up in Woodbury( off of Delaware Street) and I think I know what house it was. Hugs to you.

Ellie - I am so sorry to hear this. Prayers to their extended family, your family, and the community. This sort of thing makes no sense but like you said, hopefully something positive, one day, will come of it. Maybe in the future, once some of the hurt has passed, you and your boys could do something for the community like a fundraiser for smoke detectors to donate to families that don't have them, or at least make families aware of the importance of having at least one, but preferably several, in the home, and checking them periodically as well.

I read last week what had happened. I'm sooo sorry. What a horrible tragedy. I'm sure they are better off being together too.

We've had a few tragedies in our community too, so I understand the sadness.

(((hugs)))

Oh, that is so horrible! You, your family and now your community have been through so much the past few weeks! Hugz to you and will keep you in our prayers!

I also thought Shanas idea above about smoke detector awareness or fundraising was a fabulous way to bring about something positive out of something so tragic!

(((((HUGS))))) to you and your family. They both sounded like wonderful people, and more importantly like a part of your family. How special they must have been...prayers that they may rest in peace and that you, your loved ones and your community may find peace as well and like others have said...build on the good that they had done in the community in their memory
take care and peace
julie

It is somewhat comforting to know that they are together again. I will keep everyone involved in my thoughts, and try maybe just a little harder to improve the quality of the lives of those around me.

Oh, Ellie, I'm so sorry to hear this. I've had a busy day and just sat down to look at the newspaper and was reading Mrs. Epple's obituary. The write-up was very moving.
I was really hopeful that he would pull through, but you seemed to know he wouldn't survive without her, and no doubt he's at peace in heaven with his wife. Continued prayers for the families involved.
