Tracey Staehle announces "Walking Strong" workout!!

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

It looks kind of interesting. I don't have a treadmill, wonder if I could use my elliptical? I don't like the idea of doing it on the floor...

Hmmmm

Not sure, I use CC for the elliptical - I'm sure I can use the manual mode on this, too - but not sure if this would be as good as CC?

Enable me...???

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

Thanks--I'm pregnant and this looks just perfect. I just preordered.

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

Doesn't do anything for me. Seems purely commercial, imo.

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

<No thanks.>
LOL!! And no, there is no way Tracey could compare to Coach Sean so don't waste your hard earned $$$

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

Looks different, looks fun. I'm into different and fun.
Ok I'm signing up..

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

I ordered it and I'm very excited about it. I like Tracey a lot and I just got a treadmill so I had to do it!!

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

I don't think so. I wouldn't be able to hear the tv over my treadmill anyway.

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

I'm glad I'm not tempted. I have a treadmill but rarely use it. It's old and won't incline unless I jump off the thing and manually incline it. Besides, I'd rather take it outdoors. I prefer walking in the snow to walking indoors!

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

I seriously considered this (just because I'm a sucker for new stuff and I like Tracey well enough) but finally decided it wasn't for me. I get bored easily with indoor walking and I don't have a treadmill anyway. I thought, if Cathe made a walking workout, I'd definitely buy it; my loyalty is not that level with Tracey, though.

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

I've never tried Tracey, but I'm pregnant, so my options are kind of limited at this point. This workout looks perfect for right now.

I'm not sure how interested I'll be once I can go hard again. But for low impact that still uses weights, I'll give it a shot.

LIS, LIC and Low Max are starting to get a bit repetitive at this point, even with the premixes.

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

I'd be interested if the non-treadmill version seemed more advanced (but it's advertised as 'for beginners or those who don't have a treadmill' or something like that).

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

No. I don't need anyone to tell me how to create a really tough treadmill workout. I do it for myself all the time. Anyone who does cardio with Cathe on a regular basis, or who has experience hiking, has the discipline and frank determination required to devise her own treadmill workout that blasts the fat cells out of here and relieves whole buckets of stress.

I find Tracey's workout to be totally lacking in appeal. Sorry.

I have pre-ordered with her twice and found her workouts disappointing. I also find her shrill voice when cueing sets my teeth on edge.

RE: Tracey Staehle announces

Okay -- I ordered! I like Tracey's workouts (I have most of them). She was at Cathe's road trip this past year and seemed really nice. I primarily use Cathe's workouts, but like to do other instructors for a change of pace. Tracey's one of the ones I like to do.

Tygra,

I have all the CCs and a large collection of iTread cardio but I ordered just the same. I enjoy being coached at cardio in the gym by a really good instructor who is using very good music. Tracey's promise of good music in her description and the fact that I cannot get myself to walk on a treadmill (I always run) but need to start thinking about the impact is what did me in. I am looking for intense treadmill work that is non-impact and I am hoping this will be it.

The video clip on the home page reminds me of the Treadmoves series. There are walking lunges on the treadmill and side-wise walking plies. You would need to get off the elliptical to do those on the floor.

She also does an interval or two holding handweights and doing upper body moves. I am not sure that will be impossible on an elliptical but it may not "flow comfortably"

Hope that helps.
