I always enjoy watching Emme on Fashion Emergency on the "E" channel. She is so cool, and has the greatest attitude! I love that show because they respect everyone who comes on it; they lovingly work with all the body types, and they never, EVER comment on how anyone looks, meaning if ladies have a weight problem, they just suggest how to work with it. Leon Hall calls them "sisters of size." Please tune it in if you've never seen it!

I agree with suzannaerin, when I look at these celebs I don't think 'wow, how did they get like that' I think 'OMG, how could they LET themselves get like that?' I think it is so sad that all these women have all this money that they've worked for and yet the best thing they can do with it is compete (within their own circle) to be the thinnest. When I look for role models I certainly don't look to hollywood or in any of the airbrushed mags, I look at fitness mags and my workout videoes - these are the women I aspire to. And you don't get their shape with some magic diet or other - the technique is simple and it's no secret. You don't need to 'diet' just eat right and EXCERSISE. And your shape is the result of your efforts, not the goal. However, I personally am aiming for buns and abs like Cathe and legs and arms like Rhonda. Not too much to hope for, is it? Oh yeah, and to smile like Cedie throughout the process!

haha! That is so true, Lollipops on a stick!!! That is exactly what some of those freightening women look like. The ironic thing is I bet almost all men that we know would be completely turned off by such a skinny, sickly looking woman. I know my husband and most of his friends defiently do not think that is sexy. I guess these stars stay skinny for their female fans to admire..lucky us! Look at Drew Barrymore, I think she has had about all she is going to take too... she looks great, and normal. I just wonder how all this skinnies think they are going to have babies. Maybe they just plan to adopt, which is a good thing for the kids (I think/I hope).

Don't you think it's ridiculous that 12 is PLUS sized? I think Julia Roberts is gorgeous myself. She has a big butt and I think her smile is beautiful. Who really cares how these women look? They aren't real. There's a similar thread running and I would like to make the point here that people who want to be famous and rich beyond our dreams seem to me to be head cases who crave attention. Is it so unexpected they'll do whatever they think it takes to keep that sadly fleeting admiration? And old age and death are inevitable, so they are sort of sad, aren't they? They'll be washed up at forty unless they are really lucky. Their marriages are unlikely to last and all they have is millions of bucks to keep 'em happy. My heart breaks for them.
