I have a confession......
I am a stretch skipper. Don't like it. Don't do it. Don't like sitting in my own sweat for 10 mins and stretching out things that feel fine. Want to be in the shower. Stretches waste time that I could be using for something else. Stretches are slow. Stretches are boring. Stretches are a funny looking word when you type it over and over.
Stretches are......wonderful!!!! Mmmmm....... ohhh.....yeah...... 'scuse me, need a moment

I have decided that even though I dislike stretching my aging parts need it. I started a 3rd round of STS a little more than a month ago (I am in the middle of my 1st rest week) and decided I WILL do the extended stretch at the end, each and every time and I will not skip the stretch on cardio days. I made myself this promise before, but didn't stick to it. I have stuck with it this time, except for 2 days when I was REALLY crunched for time. I even bought SM about a week ago, to use on running days. In just a month's time, most of the little niggling aches and pains and "not rights" have gone away. I get less DOMS (although they are still there, esp after leg day). Bits and parts that used to bother me don't anymore. My joints feel better (although they still ache when it needs to rain, but that's something else).
Who knew? Ok, everybody knew, so did I, I'm just slow
No more skipping the stretching for me. I still don't like it, and find it slow and boring, but I will be doing it steadily and not skipping it.
Nan
