The Weirdest Things on your iPod?

I sometimes wonder what my next-of-kin would think if (God forbid) I suddenly expired, and they got their hands on my iPod (assuming they could figure out how to work it ;)). Knowing my usual taste in music, they would be shocked to find:

1. Yma Sumac - a rare, mouth-dropping talent

2. Tom Jones - including his cover of "Sex Bomb" - what can I say? He gets my blood flowing when I'm out walking the dog.

3. An overabundance of Nancy Wilson recordings - my new guilty pleasure

How about you?

Well, my current favourite 10K playlist includes Marilyn Manson, Peter Paul and Mary, Eminem, Blondie, songs from Grease 2, Frou Frou, The Bloodhound Gang, Lee Aaron, Poison, David Guetta, L'il Wayne, Bonnie Tyler, Quarterflash, Black Eyed Peas, REO Speedwagon and Bon Jovi, so I guess you could say I have somewhat eclectic tastes!

Opera...and lots of it. :D

I also have the complete Pimsleur French lessons, all 90 of them.

The rest of my 8 gigs or so probably isn't any more normal than the above, but I'll keep my post short!

When I was 14 I used to sneak off to the local Big Boy with a friend where we would listen to Tom Jones on the jukebox over and over. We'd have been so embarrassed if any of our friends had found out - we hung out with the Jimmi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, etc. crowd.

I don't have any music on my iPod Touch! My husband and I have such different tastes in music - I like the good stuff and he likes the crap :) - that we never listen too any and therefore do not buy any. We listen to pod casts in the car.

I don't know if it's weird, but it is a bit embarrassing...The Monkees. :) I got clowned so bad about this at work...I even got clowned about it by a woman who has David Cassidy on her iPod!!! I went "How is The Monkees any worse than David Cassidy?" and she goes, "Well...I'm old your not!" LOL!

People always laugh at me when they look at my Ipod. Morningstar, I'm in your boat with the eclectic taste!! Some stuff:

  • Lady Gaga
  • Faith No More
  • Depeche Mode
  • Glassjaw
  • Lady Antebellum
  • La Roux
  • Sevendust
  • Slayer
  • Nine Inch Nails
  • Peter Gabriel

....to name a few ;)

My "Moo" app.
Dee Dee - I, too, have The Monkees! Love them - still!
Patsy Cline - I have her entire collection!
The Chipmunk Song

There's probably more, but I don't think it's embarrassing! LOL!

I always thought of myself as a guy who could easily have been a record exec.----lol!!

MGMT is a great band! I just started getting into them.

I also have Katt Williams and Mo'nique on my iPod. Sometimes I start cracking up and folks look at me like, "O.k., I think we just lost DeeDee." :)

I also have lots of fitness music, lots of rock and lots of dance. I'm more into rock of the 80's and 90's than anything. Most of the popular songs I first hear through the fitness music I buy and if I like it I check out the original version...usually I don't like the orginal at all. I have a pumpin' version of 'I Know' that gets me ready to rock and roll on the mat, but when I heard the orginal version I was like "GAG!'. I first heard Beyonce's 'Ring The Alarm' as a cover fitness tune, loved it and ended up getting a lot of her stuff.
